Davids saw Daniella walking towards her and run to get her quickly so that they can get out of the room. Davids had seen her parents and Vin walk out of the place and she felt sorry for her. She couldn't imagine her parents walking away while other people's parents are still around giving them flowers.
She looked at the flowers in her hands and walked to her, "I know you still want to talk to Ken, I will be back," Brian nodded and walked to where Ken was. He was mingling with some high schooler and Brian knew him he had to rescue him before he falls on a deep frying pan.
Grabbing Daniella's hands, she drugged her to the next room, Dee was shocked with what she was doing. She had wiped her tears clean and her face was dry, "what's happening?" She asked her and instead of Davids replying, she went down on one knee making Daniella raise a brow at what was happening, she knew Davids was a secretive person and whatever they did was always secret, she didn't want to expose her to a lot of people.
"Would you please come with me to the Prom?" Asked David as she maintained eye contact with Daniella.
Daniella laughed so hard and had to close her mouth to avoid creating attention.
"Are you silly? Come here," Daniella pulled her into a hug as she grabbed the flowers from her hands. She didn't know that Davids would ask her for prom but she wasn't ready for her to be a gentle lady and ask her to be her plus one. As much as she wanted it to be the Damien and Clara style, she didn't mind the privacy that they had.
"Of course, I am your plus one, but that happens only if we call Ashley right now and talk to her," said Daniella. Davids was too quick with that, she removed her phone from the picket and dialled Ashley's email.
After two rings, Ashley was on the camera with her hair all curly and her pyjamas looking cute on her body.
"Hey, you?" Started Daniella excitedly as she looked at her happy face.
"Hello, you guys have taken long to call back, this is the third time you are calling, don't you miss me,' Davids knew she was right, they took long before they call her and they promised to do it weekly if not daily.
"Baby, we are sorry, we have been busy and we didn't get enough time to call you but from today, promise we will call you daily," said Davids.
"Swear!" She ordered and the duo laughed at her bossy style.
"Promise, we will," said Daniella.
Ashley adjusted yet hair so that they could see her face very well, "I streamed your play though mum was against it because it was ratted over 13 and I am excited about it, why wasn't I invited?"
"Ooh boy," said Davids as she pinched her brows, she had asked Mrs Smith but she was packed and busy to be available and maybe she told Ashley because she asked for the link and Damien had sent her the link.
"Because it was 13+ that's why you couldn't come," Davids thought that would scare her away from asking any further questions but she was wrong.
"How old do you think I am? I am not thirteen, weeeh" Daniella and Davids laughed at her bossiness, her mother walked into the room and picked the I pad from her but she started throwing tantrums.
"Hello Mrs Smith," said Daniella.
"Hello you two, how's he going?" She asked as Ashley stood beside her.
"We are doing great Mrs smith, what about you?" Asked Davids.
"We are okay, I will be lying if I say I don't miss you guys when am I seeing you again?"
Daniella felt her heart, break, when was the last time someone has ever said they missed her apart from the handsome girl beside her who is always missing her though she is following her every time.
"We will plan to visit soon if we get the ferry that is," said Davids as Daniella was lost in her thoughts.
"Okay, I will email you its program because it changes its routes every month," they nodded.
She filled them with her daily programs, and how Ashley keeps asking if they would come and visit though she doesn't have any free time to come over. After the call she wished them a good night though Ashley wanted to go on talking with them she had to sleep because of classes the following day.
"Are you happy now?" Asked Davids and Daniella replied with kisses on her cheeks.
"Who were you talking to before you run down?" Asked Davids as they were walking out of the room.
"Aah," Daniella started but was confused whether she was supposed to be her the truth or just say it was somebody but before she could make up her mind, her mouth was too fast," a certain woman who said that her name was Melinda Brown."
Davids looked at her expression. She knew the name brown triggered a lot of memories but she didn't look like the one with those memories.
"You guys seemed to be in a deep discussion," Davids wanted to know what they talked about. She was concerned about Daniella ever since she realised that she can't sometimes remember what happened a day before.
"You know her husband was also called Brown, I felt like we had this connection you know, and it was strange I could even explain myself but I realised that I had told her almost everything about my life. I ran who does that babe, I told her everything," Davids looked at her and was shocked by her words.
She can't talk to someone about her family and not even a single detail, people are just shocked when they see her and her family. Hearing what Daniella said she knew how strange it is.
"Do you also know her grip was too tight? Not feminine but masculine like, there were even veins protruding from her arms like a man,"
"I have the veins also," said Davids as she showed her arms.
"I know babe, but those of yours is delicate not like the lady's, sorry but I think I need to find her," said Daniella as she run back to where she had left her. Davids followed her quickly but when they arrived, the place was empty.
"We were here," said Daniella softly as she touched the place they were seated at.
Davids could see the emotions playing on her face, she might shed tears any second but she didn't want that to happen, she sat with her on the bench and rocked her back and forth slowly.
"Do you think my dad regrets being away from me?" Asked Daniell as she sniffed.
Davids had heard about Daniella saying that his dad did bad things to her but that was after her dad passed on, why wasn't she told when he was still alive?
"Baby, I know you said that your dad was not close to you, what if he tried his best to be close to you? What if he wanted to make you get everything in the world and was sacrificing himself to give it to you? What if everyone around you is lying and things are the opposite? What if the cigarette scars in your body were not his doing? at first you blamed your mum for hitting you but after your dad's death you started blaming your father for everything,"
Daniella stood up and looked at her with anger in her eyes, "are you saying my mother did this? My mother can't do this, that night even my dad wanted to shoot her and my mom managed to reverse and she shot him, so don't say that, my mom is not a killer!" Shouted Daniella as she walked away from her.
Davids hadn't realised what she had said until Daniella started walking away from her in anger, she thought what she was trying g to achieve was to help her reason and not point a hand at one person.
"Babe, I didn't mean to say anything about your parents, I am just saying what if, ease," said Davids as she tried to grab her.
"What did you mean Davids, you didn't need to put my mother there but everything you said pointed towards her and labelled her as a bad mother?"
Walking towards the now crying Daniella, she didn't get to her instead she walked further to the corner.
"You know, just because you had caring parents who loved you, believed in you and there have never been any sightings inform of you, that doesn't mean you can accuse our parents, I love my other and I will love her!" She runs after her last statement.
Davids run after her but she was already walking quickly, calling her name, Daniella was not looking at her.
"Brian, catch her," shouted Davids after she saw Brian taking selfies with her schoolmates, but it was too late, Daniella was already gone out of the school gate, Davids watched her wave at a taxi and she got in.
"Fuck!" She swore in frustration.
