Joyce sighed excitedly on the Alfalfa's deck as he gazed at the distant port pier: "Praise the Steam, we are back, and we have finally arrived at Enmat Port."

Standing beside him, Seth was equally thrilled, though he managed to maintain a calm exterior.

"It wasn't easy getting here."

They had faced storms at sea, lost their way, and passed various trials before finally arriving at the port.

Anyone seeing land now would feel the urge to throw themselves to the ground and kiss it.

As the Alfalfa docked, Seth noticed a team of policemen rushing in from the pier before anyone had a chance to disembark. They wore black uniforms with white checks and soft hats adorned with badges, their expressions tense.

Suddenly, the atmosphere on board grew taut.

The captain spoke calmly, "Everyone, stay where you are and don't act rashly. Let me communicate with the police officers."

Seth stepped forward, "My identity might be of some help."

The captain nodded. By then, the police had already boarded the ship, efficiently forming three teams and beginning their search. Several teams of officers made their way to the deck and approached the passengers.

A black-bearded officer strode forward, "I am Inspector Roy. What happened on this ship?"

His epaulets displayed three silver six-pointed stars, marking his rank as an inspector.

"We received news that the Alfalfa was attacked shortly after leaving Desi Bay, and someone spotted the 'King of the Five Seas' sign. But after that, there was no news for more than a month. What happened during that time?"

He continued, "I've see bloodstains that haven't been completely cleaned, and there are traces of bullets and swords. Why are there so few people left on board?"

The questions came like cannon fire, bringing back bloody memories.

A few timid men turned pale, their fingers trembling, whispering, "It's none of our business."

Inspector Roy's expression grew more severe, intimidating everyone.

The captain coughed dryly, "Officer, it's like this. After pirates robbed us, a terrible disaster struck."

He briefly described the internal strife and the disaster, deepening the inspector's concern.

The police department in Enmat Port had received news of the Alfalfa's attack over half a month ago. Family members of the passengers had recently come to inquire about their loved ones.

Thus, as soon as they heard the Alfalfa had docked, the police rushed over.

As experienced, Roy had prepared for the worst, but the situation was even grimmer than he anticipated.

Footsteps echoed as several police teams ran to the deck, reporting to Roy.

"Sir, we found a large number of bodies, both sailors and passengers."

Roy nodded solemnly, turning his gray-blue eyes to the captain.

"This is very serious. I need your cooperation until we understand the full story."

"Now, I need to take you in for questioning. Please cooperate with the investigation."

"No!"

A short, bearded man bolted toward the gangway, "I didn't commit any crime; I just want to go home!"

The captain called out anxiously, "Mr. Sigera, calm down."

Before he could stop him, two policemen rushed forward, striking Sigera with their batons and pinning him to the ground.

"Don't do this; please let him go," the captain pleaded, stepping forward, only to be struck in the stomach by a baton, leaving him unable to speak further.

"Hey, what are you doing?! Why are you beating people? We are not criminals!"

The passengers grew agitated. Among them, the round-faced youth, Triss, stood up and exclaimed, "You can't treat us like this!"

He, too, received a blow from a police baton.

The crowd became even more excited, rushing toward the police to explain their situation.

Inspector Roy pulled out his pistol, pointed it at the crowd, and shouted, "Stop! Everyone, stop!"

The police surged forward, striking the agitated passengers and sailors with batons and pushing them down onto the deck. Many were injured in the process.

"Everyone, calm down! Keep your restraint!" Seth yelled, hoping to quell the impulsive crowd, but his voice was completely drowned out.

A policeman rushed at him, trying to grab his collar. Seth instinctively slid back, causing the policeman to miss.

"Don't resist!" The brown-eyed policeman roared, drawing his pistol and pointing it at Seth.

Seth raised his hands, "Officer, I am—"

Before he could finish, a tall policeman tackled him, pressing Seth's head with his broad palm, forcing his cheek tightly against the deck.

Anger, humiliation, and shock surged through him. Seth wanted to lift his head, but his face was pinned down, allowing only his right eye a narrow view.

Suppressing his violent emotions, he shouted, "Listen to me, officer! I am the son of Baron Byson Disraeli! Please don't hurt me or the others. We will cooperate with your investigation."

But the police ignored him. The large man on top of Seth shouted impatiently, "Shut up! If you're the baron's son, I am His Royal Highness! If you have anything to say, tell the judge! Now, get up."

Seth was hauled to his feet, and a piece of cloth was stuffed into his mouth—a handkerchief from one of the police officers, with a scent far from fresh.

The riot on the deck was quickly subdued. The police took everyone away, including Seth, and they were thrown into a makeshift prison at the Enmat Port Police Department.

In the crowded cell, Seth removed the handkerchief from his mouth, rushed to the door, and shouted, "Officer! Officer! I am Seth Disraeli! My father is a baron. Send a telegram, I can pay!"

A policeman came over and slammed his stick against the cell door, "Back off, no noise!"

Seth quickly withdrew his hand, retreating helplessly. The situation had developed completely differently from what he had imagined. He didn't know what would happen next if he couldn't contact his family.

["See, I knew these curly-haired baboons wouldn't cooperate with you. What's your next move, Li Zexi?"]

["I have an idea. Let's make the pigs in this cell fight. Once they start fighting, the police will come in to check. When that happens, we'll grab one, break his neck, take his gun, and rush out."]

["You can do that. Could you do it? Let's do it."]

["Just like that!"]

A slight smile gradually crept across Seth's face.
