Chapter 171 - Butterfly - Hypnopsis

As Axel kept walking in the wetlands, he started seeing some familiar creatures.

Of course, most of the creatures he saw never saw him at all. In the end, with the power of Axel There is not much of a way for most of the creatures to see themselves.

The first creature Axel had seen is called Frog in Waiting, a creature that waits in the underground for people to pass, then ambushes them as they pass through his mouth, swallowing them whole.

After he stopped messing with the creature, he kept on walking.

As he walked, he noticed a strange butterfly with an iridescent blue color and long, thin antennae. Axel approached it cautiously, watching as the butterfly began to flutter its wings and emit a hypnotic aura.

He recognized it immediately as a Hypnopsis Butterfly, a creature he had seen before in the Hunter x Hunter universe. Axel couldn't help but marvel at the butterfly's beauty, but he also knew how dangerous it could be.

He whispered to himself, "I remember seeing these butterflies in Hunter x Hunter; they are known for their ability to hypnotize their prey and lead them to their deaths."

Axel stopped to think for a second as he watched from the distance.

"I also remember that this butterfly was able to put weaker or tired contestants to sleep. Which means that its hypnosis abilities are not that strong. As long as one has a strong mind and will, even direct observation would not be effective to get one hypnotized."

Axel remained still and kept his distance, studying the butterfly as it continued to flutter its wings. He admired its gracefulness and thought about how he could use it in his training.

He then remembered something. His Gyo activated at full power, and Axel laughed as he saw something different.

"Every time the creature flaps its wings, a small amount of nen spreads around; the nen is purplish in color and has a weird good feeling sensation."

"This means that the creature, despite not having a human soul or anything like that, even has a mind of its own and was most likely born with the nen, and his own ability is to hypnotize."

After a few minutes, the butterfly flew away.

Axel took a deep breath and nodded.

"I believe that the Dark Continent is a similar wild place like wetlands. But the problem is that creatures there have physical progress that is most likely stronger than a human being and also nen abilities that work with nature.

"If this butterfly had the same amount of nen and power as a high-level human nen user, his hypnopsis would be enough to take on many enemies without any problem at all."
