Chapter 2: A chance with a gifts

Jake chuckled slightly in his mind, clearly recalling the moments before his death. He hadn't expected that what seemed to be a good day, turned out to be his last day on Earth.

'Dying early without even enjoying my billionaire life to the fullest, how unlucky. Is this the work of karma?' He said, pitying himself for his demise.

'I hadn't expected that the tragic event of 2001, which had turned into dark jokes over the years, would happen again. Moreover, I fell victim as history repeated itself.'

Recalling the plane that had crashed into his towering building, a slight anger and confusion rose within Jake's imaginary heart. He then shake the matter out of his head, as thinking of it will change nothing.

After all, dead is death. One can't change the outcome they wanted once they're dead. Even if one's resentment eventually turned into a ghost for vengeance, they still can't do anything since the perpetrator is also dead.

Jake then looked around him and probe in his mind.

'This place must be the realm where reincarnation takes place. What will happen to me now. Is my soul are going to be reincarnated?' Jake said so in wonder.

A moment later, he add, 'Maybe not?'

As far as his eyes could see in this place of darkness, he saw no other souls like his floating around. Jake dismissed the idea that this could be the realm where reincarnation cycles takes place.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to him, the space around him suddenly shifted, instantly making him disappear from this dark realm.

Jake didn't even realize what had happened as his surroundings suddenly changed from black to white. The transition was so instant that he couldn't react in time, startling him to the core.

Recovering from his shock, Jake then darted his eyes around. curious about this white space that seemed to be boundless.

He soon find that the white space was just the same as the dark one, silent, no sense of direction, and no sense of time. Knowing this, Jake just float in place in this white space, wondering in his mind.

An unknown amount of time had passed when a heavy, ancient voice suddenly rang in Jake's mind.

'Soul, you are in the presence of the Heaven.'

Jake was shaken by the sudden voice that rang heavily in his mind. After a while, his mind regained clarity. He then turned his head and darted his eyes around, searching for its origin.

Jake look around him, but as time passes, he didn't find any single clues in this white space.

"Who are you? What is this place?" he asked in his mind, uncertain if the entity behind the voice could hear him.

'You are in the presence of the Heaven. You are inside the Heaven itself.'

Jake was startled once more by the sudden voice. As he processed what the entity had said, he found himself unable to understand it and felt confused.

Jake pondered for a moment, trying to make sense of it. After a while, he finally grasped a part of it and said, "So you're saying that you are Heaven?"

After a very long while without a response, Jake started to doubt if his assumption was correct. However, he held on to his belief and said respectfully, 'Heaven, may I ask why I am here?'

A moment later, the entity responded in a slow voice, 'Your existence disrupted the fate of the world you lived in. Your presence was like a black hole, absorbing most of the world's fate to the point where it could no longer bear your presence. You were born in the wrong place.'

After a moment of silence, the entity continued with a grand voice, as if preaching a commandment.

'The Heaven decided to bring an outcome of your death and bring you here in this place.'

'The Heaven will stripped all the fate that you've gathered in that world and scattered it in the infinite universe.'

'The Heaven will give you a chance to transmigration to any universe you've wanted as a form of compensation for taking your life to an end.'

'The Heaven will grant you two wishes as a gift for not being evil and knowing right from wrong,' the entity proclaimed in a grand and ancient voice.

Hearing the magnificent and ancient voice of the entity, Jake's mind was overwhelmed and he couldn't process everything at that moment.

Calming his mind, Jake then looked at the words mysteriously imprinted in his mind, as if they were commandments from the gods. As he read the words, he was confusion and can't understand it all at the moment.

What the entity was saying was beyond his expectations and outside of his thinking. However, he felt like he had already heard or read something similar before.

Then, his memory kicked in as he recalled the days when he loved to watch many animes and read top stories. With these long-forgetting memories in his arsenal, he could slowly but surely process and understand what the entity was saying.

After a while, he was shocked and filled with happiness.

Although he was alarmed that his death was done by Heaven itself, he did not dwell on it and quickly dismissed it. After all, it's Heaven, and there was nothing he could do but accept his fate.

What shocked him the most was the term "transmigration." Unlike a simple reincarnation where one is reborn anew, it involved seizing another person's body with his own soul or merging as one, a concept that he'd like. Moreover, since the transmigration would be done by Heaven itself, the entire process would be flawless.

Realizing that his long-forgotten dream as a self-proclaimed otaku was about to come true, Jake couldn't have been happier. The two wishes from Heaven were merely the icing on the cake for his happiness.

'Soul, state your first wish.'

As Jake basked in his happiness, a voice echoed in his mind. He then composed himself and began to consider his first wish.

Jake carefully searched through his memories, sorting out all the great ideas he had during his time as a weeb.

"An exceptionally perfect body with high regenerative abilities and limitless potential," Jake said after evaluating the best ideas that would best suit him.

'Heavenly Body.' The entity responded.

As the voice echoed in Jake's mind, a blinding golden light suddenly illuminated the boundless white space, creating a striking contrast of gold amidst the white.

After an unknown amount of time, the blinding light gradually faded, revealing Jake's soul, still floating in the boundless white space, now surrounded by a golden light.

The golden light then converged on his body, gathering on the center of his chest to form a small, glowing golden seal.

Once the light faded, Jake observed the tiny golden seal on his chest. The seal is in a form of a small figure of himself, seated in a lotus position.

Although he didn't receive a physical body for his soul immediately, he wasn't concerned after seeing the seal. He speculated that he would obtain the Heavenly Body mentioned by the entity after his transmigration.

'Soul, state your second wish.'

Upon hearing the entity's words, Jake, who already had an idea for his second wish, took a moment to contemplate with the idea.

'Six Eyes,' Jake said after careful consideration. He had always admired the concept of Six Eyes from one of his favorite anime and believed it would be a perfect complement to his future Heavenly Body. Combined with his first wish, this second wish would provide him with a formidable foundation to excel in every aspect.

After a while, the entity responded, 'There will be a bit of consequences with the wish you choose. You have the option to change it if you wish.'

Jake was taken aback by the entity's response and hesitated. He wondered about the potential consequences mentioned. However, considering the advantages that Six Eyes would bring in combination with his first wish, he quickly set aside his concerns.

'Heaven, I choose Six Eyes as my second wish.' Jake bravely said, confirming his second wish.

Jake waited for the entity's acknowledgment and for his wish to be granted. However, a long time passed without hearing a response from the entity.

Jake grew impatient and was about to repeat his words when suddenly, a mysterious power appeared around  him. This power then quickly gathered into a ball of yellow light.

Jake couldn't react in time as the light suddenly appeared before him. All he could do was watch as the mysterious ball of light circled and entered the top of his head.

'Aaarrrgghhhh!!!'

Jake clutched his head and screamed in agony, struggling to maintain his sanity while enduring the excruciating pain.

As the mysterious power flowed through him from his head, it began to disrupt the essence of his spiritual matter, making him feel as though countless ants were crawling inside him and biting his flesh. However, he did not have a physical body at the moment, only a spiritual one—his soul.

The pain he could feel was on a spiritual level, the most excruciating of all. It felt as though his soul was being torn apart.
