"Our luck today is extremely terrible."

He groaned and slowly sat up brushing the leaves and sticks from his hair, "I think so." I smiled and pulled him into a hug, "Thank God." I blushed when I felt my boobs press against his hard chest. I quickly pulled away, "Are you hurt?"

He got up and brushed the dirt off his black jeans and naked upper body, "I'm fine." He tilted his head to the side as he looked me up and down, "You're clean." I looked down at my half-naked upper body and ripped jeans, "Yea, pretty much."

He narrowed his eyes at me, "Have you done stuff like this before?" I nervously chuckled as I looked away, "Maybe once or twice." He chuckled, "I've never met a girl like you before."

I walked ahead of him in the direction of Hanson Theme Park, "That's because God made every girl different physically, mentally and spiritually." He chuckled, "Definitely different mentally."

We got plenty of stares from people in passing vehicles as we walked at a moderate pace while talking about random things. Even though he's a perverted asshole, he was actually pretty good company. I learnt one thing today though, he's definitely a talker. He has been babbling about why Thanos is the best villain of all villains for the past hour.

I barely had any say in the conversation since he was basically talking to himself. Asking questions then answering them himself and also agreeing and disagreeing with himself. I thought back to what Sebastian said about Dylan not being much of a talker.

I sighed as I looked up at the sky that was suddenly crowded with grey clouds. Why does it look like it's going to rain?

After the first call from Hayley we didn't receive anymore so I'm guessing they're still waiting. I interrupted Dylan's Thanos fanboy moment, "What time is it?" He shrugged, "I have no idea."

"Don't you have a phone?"

He took out a tattered iPhone from his pocket, "The battery died and as you can see it didn't survive my terrible landing after the jump." I sighed, "Why didn't you say so sooner? No wonder we weren't getting any calls from Hayley and Sebastian."

"Don't worry. Once they realize they're not getting through to us they're going to come look for us." I nodded, "You're right."

Hopefully.

A huge drop of water fell down on my cheek. Dylan and I faced each other with the same look of panic in our eyes. We quickly ran to a nearby tree at the side of the road for shelter as the rain came pouring down. Dylan climbed the branchy tree and I followed him up.

He held my arm and pulled me up to where he sat on a branch. He slid back the wet hair from his face, "Our luck today is extremely terrible." I wrung some of the water from my hair, "It's everyday for me."

Karma is working very hard today.

We are already in a difficult situation, is it really necessary to make it rain too?

The tree served as a good shelter since it was very fluffy with extremely large green leaves. Rain drops barely reached us where we sat on a huge, deep brown branch. Dylan took a peek at the sky, "The drops are huge, it's probably just a passing rain cloud. This rain won't last very long."

I rose a brow, "When since are you a meteorologist?" He smiled, "I'm a man of many talents." I hummed in response, "Try adding changing a car tire to your-" I created air quotes with my fingers, "Many talents."

The smile instantly fell off his handsome face and it filled me with great satisfaction.

I then felt eyes staring intently at me. I looked at Dylan and followed his gaze to my chest that was completely soaked to the point where my bra was completely see-through.

I cleared my throat and plucked a large leaf from the tree and placed it in front of my chest, "Quit staring you damn pervert." The leaf covered my entire chest, what kind of tree is this?

A lot of time had passed and the rain only came down harder, "I thought you said the rain wouldn't last long since it's just a passing cloud." Dylan looked away, "It's probably a huge cloud." I chuckled, "Yea sure."

"Hey Dylan?"

He hummed in response. I looked down shyly and twiddled my thumbs, "Today pretty much sucked and I probably wouldn't be able to make it this far without you. Thanks for being here."

He smiled revealing a cute dimple on his left cheek, "Of course. Today really sucked but in a very strange way it has been a bit fun." I chuckled, "Yea."

I'm glad you enjoyed joining me on this adventure of misfortune. I looked out beyond the tree where the rain started to subside. Stay with me a little longer and this unlucky adventure will just be the beginning for you, for us and for that bitchy karma.

We stayed in the tree for a little while longer and waited for at least majority of the water to run off the road. Dylan carefully made his way down the tree and landed in a puddle of mud and water below the tree.

He groaned as he lifted his right foot to look on his once white NIKE sneakers, "Oh come on!" He sighed and looked up at me, "Aren't you coming down?" I took off my FILA sneakers, "Catch!" I flung each shoe, "Get my FILA babies to safety."

He caught both and rested them on the edge of the road.

I carefully progressed down the tree. The tree is incredibly slippery now but I guess it's because it's wet and my feet are bare.

"Could you hurry it up?"

"I'm coming jeez, the tree is wet and slippery."

Why did we climb so high? I was coming down from almost the top of the tree holding on all the branches I used as an anchor with a death grip so I don't fall. I looked down to where Dylan was. Still quite some distance to go.

I screamed as my foot slipped on a branch that must've been fully exposed to the rain. I kept my eyes closed as I went down at top speed with the shorter limbs cutting at my skin surely leaving a few bruises along with a few painful stings.

I guess karma is bored with me now and wants me dead.
