Meeting

Looking at Xinyi, Shihuang wanted to know how these two gers usually interact but looking at what Xinyi was holding, it must be for Wenmin. "You came back with Chen Jiahao? Ah! You were the two men who came yesterday oh. The villagers were talking about you everywhere since yesterday." Xinyi remembered that even his Ama talked about it and asked him to be careful when he met them.

No wonder they were talking so much about the two men, they both have outstanding physic, and even the village men who did heavy work in the fields can't compare to them. "Eh? You said Aunt Yingyue was Jiahao's benefactor. But Wenmin's Ama died last month and only Wenmin was left in the house." He knew how kind Aunt Yingyue was, it wouldn't be strange if someone regarded him as a benefactor.

However, now only a young ger lived inside the house. Letting a man and a ger meet in a secluded place would be dangerous and if the villagers found out, they would surely talk badly about Wenmin. "I can't let you guys meet now, it would be bad if the villagers saw it. I'll talk to Wenmin that you two men wanted to meet him and see what he will say. He's probably busy planting in his garden right now."

Shihuang understands that people in the countryside are much more concerned about their faces, and knowing that people would talk badly about someone who did not do wrong could give Wenmin a hard life and thus agree to meet them at another time. "Okay, we will be staying at the village head's house for a few days. Boss has something to take care of. If you want to meet us just come to the house." He said what he had to and turn to walk back in the direction of Uncle Yichen's house.

Xinyi saw that the big man was gone and sigh with relief. He walks into the courtyard and straight to the back garden of Wenmin's house. There he saw a small back, crouching on the ground with a shovel in one hand and seeds in the other, busy planting the seeds. He heard Wenmin mutter something while he was putting the seeds in the ground.

He thought to himself that sometimes Wenmin acts maturely as if he's not 16 and sometimes he acts childishly according to his age. But he can still see that Wenmin is taking care of himself and is working hard. He l left the basket on a bench and walk towards Wenmin. "Wenmin, Xinyi here. What are you doing? Want me to help you?"

Wenmin heard the footsteps and heard Xinyi's voice. He looked up and saw Xinyi's face, "Xinxin! No need to help I've finished some of them. What are you doing here?" Wenmin stood up and rubbed off the dirt from his hands. He casually picks up the small basket with gardening tools beside him and walks to a shed with Xinyi.

"My Ama baked some sweet potatoes and asked me to give you some. Come and eat. The weather is pretty cold lately." They went inside the house and gather at the dining table. Xinyi put the basket on the table and removed the cloth. There were some hot sweet potatoes in them. Wenmin was drooling when he saw the hot potatoes and couldn't help himself to get two plates from the kitchen and gave one to Xinyi.

As they were eating Xinyi told Wenmin about Shihuang and Jiahao. Since Wenmin didn't know anything about Jiahao, Xinyi told him about how Jiahao was sent to the army camp and about his Ama being the benefactor of Jiahao. Since he didn't know what happened then, it is best to visit Jiahao and talk it over properly.

Wenmin listened to it with great interest. He imagine a super strict general with a humble and tragic background who came back to take revenge and so on. But imagination and reality are different. To understand this Jiahao person, it is better to see them and if it goes well, maybe they can be friends. To have more allies is better than none at all.

"Xinxin, if this Jiahao and Shihuang are good people, it would be great if we can be close to them. There is no harm in being friends with them." Wenmin said while still chewing the sweet potatoes. He still hasn't met them and he wasn't there when they first arrive. It looks like Chen Jiahao has his reasons for not making his appearance known to people.

Xinyi was rather astonished by how calm Wenmin is. Getting close to a man usually means that you have feelings for them and wanted to marry them. But looking at how casually Wenmin said those words, it seems like Wenmin is rather oblivious when it comes to being close to a man.

"Minmin, if you want to see them, they are at the village chief's house. They said they will be living there for a few days. It's the best time to visit them, no one will say badly if we went to the village chief's house ah." Xinyi is most concerned about other people talking badly about Wenmin since he is alone now and there is no one to protect him.

Wenmin thought that it was good too, he didn't want to deal with other people's rumours about him. That defeats the purpose of living leisurely like he always wanted. Since it is still early, they decided to go after lunch. Wenmin decided to pick some fresh vegetables and fruits and bring them to the village chief's house.

Xinyi stayed for lunch and accompany Wenmin to Uncle Yichen's house. Along the way, the villagers were still talking about the majestic figures of Jiahao and Shihuang, how big and tall they were, how rich must they've been as they can afford horses and how they carried swords around. Young girls and gers were also excited because of the arrival of two unknown men in the village.

Judging by their conversations, it seems that they didn't know that Jiahao is a fellow village man. Must have been the physical changes and the way he carries himself was different from the other villagers. Wenmin and Xinyi kept quiet and calmly proceed to their destination. Sometimes they would greet the old people in the field and the children that were running around.

They reached the village head's house, they can see two horses being tied under a tree. One black and one dark brown. Both of them looked majestic and strong. They knocked on the door and heard someone's voice coming. A tall, emotionless face man opened the door and looked at them. Both Wenmin and Xinyi were surprised to see the unfamiliar face.

"Excuse me, may I know if there is someone by the name of Chen Jiahao living here? My name is Li Wenmin, I heard that a person name Shihuang came to my house this morning and enquire about me." Wenmin introduced himself and also explain his arrival. He was still unaccustomed to this world's way of speech so he speak more formally when he met someone he didn't know.

The man who opened the door was Jiahao. Seeing as the guest who came to the door was the ger he was looking for, he was quite surprised and started to look at him more carefully. The youth in front of him has white rosy skin, big round eyes, neatly tied hair, a lot shorter than he is and the youth can speak fluently without a hint of illiterate in them. Overall, the youth was lovely and also not timid.

He nod his head and showed them to the house. He still didn't introduce himself to them. Seeing as the man lead them in, Chen Jiahao must be at the house now. They entered the house and sat in the living room. The man went to the kitchen and took out warm water and went into a room. From the room, another man came out looking rather lazy.

When they both entered the living room, Shihuang saw Xinyi and another ger with him. Judging from their closeness, it must have been Wenmin. His face was full of smiles when he looked at Jiahao to ask for praise, he saw the look in his eyes saying, "butting into other people's business eh?" and shut his mouth.

They sat down and four people looked at each other. Shihuang broke the silence, he can't bear the awkward atmosphere between them. "Ahem, I am Shihuang and this is Jiahao. I think Xinyi has explained the reason why I came to your house this morning. Thank you for making time to meet with us."

"Hello, I am Wenmin. I was told that a person name Chen Jiahao wanted to visit my Ama and thanked him. I am sorry that my Ama has already passed away, but he must have felt relief to know that you came back safely. As his son, you don't need to thank him, he must have helped you with his reasons without expecting any returns." Wenmin gratefully put the basket in front of them and said his words.

He looked at Jiahao's face and he could see that this man has been through a lot. The was a scar on his eyelid to his eyebrows which makes him look like those handsome K-pop idols with split eyebrows on them. His face was handsome with sharp jawlines, phoenix eyes, tanned skin and healthy muscles. There was no excess fat and he was tall too.

Jiahao could feel Wenmin's eyes roaming around his body and face. He just lets the youth look at him until he is satisfied. He picks up the cup of warm water and put it on his lips to hide the smile on his face. He felt that the youth in front of him was more and more interesting.

"The death of your Ama is unavoidable. But right now, you have no one to depend on, I hope that you would accept me as a husband to share the life and burden ahead of you. This may come as abrupt but I have made this decision since the day your Ama helped me." Jiahao opened his mouth and relayed what he wanted to say.

Wenmin, Xinyi and Shihuang were shocked to hear what he said. Shihuang was so close to spitting the water in his mouth, he quickly covered it with his hand and coughed. Wenmin didn't expect that the man he first met would propose to marry him. He only came to this world for a few weeks and there is already someone wanting to be his husband!

Jiahao looked at the shocked expression of everyone in the room, "You don't need to reply now. We still have time to get to know each other. I have thought long and hard. Please don't worry about money, I have a lot. I also have never been in a relationship, so you don't have to worry if someone wanting to disrupt our relationship. I will be responsible to you and also be with you as long as I am still alive."

That was a very strong declaration from Jiahao. Wenmin looked at Xinyi, Xinyi was looking at him with big round eyes. "I have to think about it first. Since I don't have an adult to consult in this manner, I hope that we can get to know each other first. Thank you for saying your thoughts and feelings." Wenmin didn't feel any repulse from Jiahao's confession.

As he had lived 23 years of his life before, he just accepts that men and women will naturally be together, but as he grew up and met a lot of people. He also accepts that same-sex relations and marriages have been recognised by people around the world. Even he, himself likes to read BL novels and mangas.

Getting into a relationship with a man is nothing strange but the idea of marrying someone he didn't know was the issue here. He needed more time to evaluate this seriously, marrying someone is a sacred thing, and he hopes to at least marry someone whom he has good feelings with to ensure his life will be happy and fulfilling, even in another world.

Jiahao can see his relaxed expression and smile calmly in front of him. Wenmin saw the smile on his face and his heart went 'kyuun~' all of the sudden. He didn't realise his cheeks and ears turned red, he can only feel his body getting hotter somehow. All his adorable reactions were seen by Jiahao, he was satisfied to see the ger somehow innocent reactions.

After saying what he has to say, Wenmin and Xinyi quickly excuse themselves and went back home. Both of them sigh with relief but they still have to think about the important thing, Chen Jiahao's unexpected confession. "Minmin, are you sure you want to take time to get to know him? He looks reliable but he also looks dangerous." Xinyi was concerned about Wenmin.

Wenmin knew that the matter between him and Jiahao was not simple. Both of them are strangers, and the fact that he's still 16 has a lot to say too. But living in this world, he also knew that people married early and often have children early too. "Him being reliable and dangerous has its perks too. if he is too soft-hearted, people will bully us but it's because he is dangerous that people would think twice if they want to mess with us."

Xinyi stayed silent until they parted ways. Wenmin felt exhausted when he reached his home. It was still evening but he felt like he needed some sleep after all that talking. He put some food in Heihei's bowl and went to his room.

He lay on his bed, he thought of what Jiahao had said and he completely blushed and rolled on his bed. He never thought that a hot guy would one day confess to him. He felt like a maiden somehow, except he is a male. He didn't want to think anymore and quickly fell asleep leaving everything for the next day.
