Chapter 2 - Secret

I look at the tenebrous sky ahead, surely again it will pour. Luckily, I brought an umbrella with me. I was about to cross the street when suddenly.

"May I ask of your whereabouts?"

Hmm. That voice sounds familiar

" Joshua!" I turned around beaming. Looking at the face in front of me, my smile diminishes.

" Oh! Sorry, I mistook you for someone else"

" No need to apologize, Thane." The man chuckled.

That's odd. He knows me.

" I don't remember meeting you" I said.

" Well, where are my manners. I'm Jeric Thalaine. Owner of Thalaine Publishing." He smiled saying.

That's right. Thalaine Publishing. My workplace. And I'm talking to my boss. How amazing to start a day.

" Oh, Sir! I apologize in advance for being late to work." I said.

" No need Thane, I went to see you. I hate to be the bringer of bad news."

Bad news. See me. Come on.

"Oh, am I being terminated? I did not burn those papers Jeri- I mean sir"

" I'm afraid those papers are not the reason. How about we talk about this over some cake?"
