Chicken nugget

Ivanie played with her food during lunch break lost in thought, beside her was Britney who kept on talking about the newest trend this week.

"I am telling you the fashion week is crazy they were lot of styles I could barely keep up, I have placed orders for two of my favorites....."

Ivanie paid less attention to her, suddenly noise erupt from behind them which jolt Ivanie from her thoughts.

"Are you blind, can't you see you made me dizzy stepping on my foot " Jessica rant her voice loud.

Ivanie rub her head irk by her voice.

The poor girl who was being harass by Jessica had her head bow scared as Jessica lectured her.

"Seriously can you really fall dizzy just by being stepped on" Britney scoff looking at the show.

The poor girl, I heard she's a scholarship student her family must be poor." Britney said expressing her pity for her.

"She should have known to stay in her lane, this school is filled with wild wolf a pauper like her isn't always treated kindly " Ivanie said.

"Loser" Jessica said and the next seconds a clank of plate resounded on tiled floor and a chunk of mashed potatoes splatter on Ivanie socks.

No one noticed except Ivanie and Britney who was gasping the next moment.

Ivanie boiled her face turning red, she smelt like a week old stew and it isn't very pleasant.

"The heck!!" Ivanie screamed standing to her feet, the cafeteria become quiet, Ivanie got up her seat and approach the bickering girl.

The girl who was being scolded flinch back her legs shaking as it seems like Ivanie was coming directly to her.

"The heck Jessica can you stay one place for the love of God, why must you thrash things all over it disgusting". Ivanie said at eye level with Jessica.

"Excuse me I never dragged you out your seat you came here your self" Jessica fired back.

"Shut up!! look at me you idiot" Ivanie was almost screaming.

"Don't tell me to shut up, you shut up" Jessica said back to her.

"What did you say to me?" Ivanie asked gritting her teeth her anger exploding, the image of her getting married flash through her head and a depressing feeling of being controlled in it shoot up.

Ivanie reach her hands out and grab Jessica blonde hair in a tight grip,Jessica screamed.

A fight erupt in the cafeteria, Britney was quick to step in pulling one of Jessica's friend who was also pulling Ivanie's hair.

The duos struggled pulling at each other while pushing themselves roughly on the floor, the timid girl who was being bullied was dragged in the fight, she tried pulling away but the fight was so intense she got caught up in the web.

A hand reach out and pulled Ivanie away, but Ivanie refuse to let go.

"Babe, babe, Ivanie stop... don't" Jace called trying to separate the ladies.

He got in-between them but received an hot resounding slap from Ivanie who had prepared it for Jessica.

"What are you all doing"

The principal walked into their midst extremely pissed.

"What is going on here?" He asked again seeing the messed up student who are all heaving.

"No one is going to speak up, all of you to detention!!! He spat to their face, none seemed bothered by it.

Ivanie and Britney was the first to walk away followed by the timid girl, and Jace Jessica and her friends also trail behind.

Malachi who stood at the side line watching the drama was almost laughing, the principal noticed him and frowned.

"And you why ain't you moving?"

"Well it has nothing to do with me" Malachi shrug lazily.

"Really, detention young man, learn good things" the principal said.

"What!!!"

Malachi frown taking out the lollipop in-between his lips.

"But I'm innocent...."

The principal paid deaf hears and walk away.

Malachi raise his hands in wonder wondering how he was caught in the scene.

The board members reserve their silence as a presentation was given about their newest project.

The meeting hall was dark except for the projector that was scheming with light.

"Tone number 4 has been reduced to a little darker shade it much better to apply.

"The lipstick we are exploiting It's name summer taste, it's created to give a very moisture feeling to the lips while it looks dry and tenderly soft .........."

Vladimir listen to the presentation attentive staring at the project hard copy on the table, she went through the different shades of color with it out line.

The light came back on and Vladimir looked up.

Seated beside him was a lady who was also paying attention to the presentation, she had a serious look on like Vladimir.

Tension fly in the air as everyone wait for the two people approval on the project.

"Well I see no reason to not give this project a try, I totally support with the funding," she said she then turn to look at Vlad who still read through the hard copy.

After what seem like forever for fourth department Team.

Vladimir finally raise his head.

"Good, start the project as soon as possible" Vlad told them.

They were almost screaming giving a achievement smile. The board members gave them a smile as everyone began departing ,the meeting was adjourned.

"Vladimir it good you see the potential in this project, if we are able to create this the market might see us in a different light." She said .

"We are in a different light Xenia" Vladimir said standing up, he adjusted his tie and went out the meeting hall.

"I didn't expect you to resume work so soon I thought you'd be spending more time at home, you have just arrived back from your business trip to the state in such hurry" Xenia said walking behind him as both made their way to their office.

"I have better things to do at work than waste my time at home " Vlad said.

"Well you sure are workaholics how could I forget that" Xenia told him smiling.

"Simply doing my job" replied Vlad.

"Well there's a high school reunion of our set, are you coming?" Xenia asked. Knowing how Vlad was he isn't so social.

"Sure, email me the time" Vlad told her , the automatic door open recognizing him, he stop as Xenia had call his name.

"Vlad is that you, are you for real you don't go to class reunion what has gotten into you" Xenia said dramatically.

"Well then I should refuse" Vlad shrug nonchalantly.

"No no no ... I mean you should come am just messing with you " Xenia smile and watch Vlad get in his office. She turned away and walk into her's which was at the opposite side of Vladimir.

Inside detention eight student sat at different seats not allowed to say a words to each other.

Each of them wrote an apology letter up to thirty papers with each stating a different reason why fighting is wrong.

Ivanie sigh dropping her pen and flexing her fingers as they were starting to hurt from writing too much.

She look back to see Jace focus on his note jolting things down, noticing he was being stared at he raise his head to give Ivanie a smile.

Ivanie felt guilty seeing his face which was designed with her palm.

Malachi didn't bother in writing any notes but actually searching for words to say later on, on why he was treated unfairly.

Britney was done with her letter and was busy glazing off at the roof having nothing to do since they had summited their phone to the discipline committee.

Jessica had her friend to write the letter for her.

While the timid girl who actually had a name 'Jeannie' has her head on the table.

Ivanie sigh looking down at her school sport wear, she had discarded her school uniform earlier since it was dirty and stain.

She couldn't bear the smell coming from it, although she was no longer in her Uniform she could still perceive the smell of food on her.

Ivanie was tap from behind and she turn to see Britney passing her a note silently.

Ivanie collect it confused, she opened it to see Jace writing.

"Don't feel bad, I love the print of your design on my face although it stings it will remind next time not to mess with you" Jace wrote.

"Sorry Jace" Ivanie wrote back.

"No problem, want to grab chicken nuggets with me later?" Jace wrote again.

Ivanie draw a smiley face on the paper saying yes.

Malachi threw a folded pater at Britney who turn to glare at him.

Her eyes screamed ( don't piss me off)

Malachi signaled back(your hair is a mess, are you nurturing birds there)

Britney sneered (Shut up)

Malachi sneered back( you too)

They were released two hours after the school closed, it past 7:00 in the evening , Ivanie walked in with Jace into a chicken restaurant.

Malachi was the last to step in after Britney.

"They place their orders and took a seat close to the window.

At the far corner of the restaurant some set of people were busy having drinks celebrating.

"Is Xenia coming?" One of them asked.

"Of course she is I will trying

Calling her again", another replied.

The restaurant entrance door shrug open and Vladimir walked in, he raise his head at the call of his name . Xenia walk in behind him.

Britney gasped nudging Ivanie to look.

"Hmm what is it Bri" Ivanie call looking up away from her food.

"Look at that gorgeous man" Britney pointed out squeaking, Ivanie followed her line of sight .

Ivanie shrink back into her seat immediately seeing Vlad

"What?" Britney asked.

"Nothing just relaxing back" Ivanie told her.

Jace took the initiative to place a kiss on her cheek, and while he did so Ivanie eyes lock with Vlad who was walking in her direction, she swallowed.
