Lio
"So.. Do you remember much about me before whatever happened that gave me amnesia?," I asked Magnus. He looked down at his hands, avoiding eye contact.
"No.. We weren't close," He murmured. That voice in my head that's been bugging me since I woke up seemed to roar, breaking through me.
LIAR!
I stop, looking down at my trembling hands.
"You're lying," I blurted without thinking. He froze, turning back to me with widened eyes. I looked up at him, shock filling me. The voice is right.
"What have you been lying about," I demanded. He turned to me fully, raising his hands.
"Lio-," He started, but I shoved him backwards, grabbing his shirt and glaring at him, a strange amount of courage I never knew I had filling me.
"What are you hiding from me?," I demanded. People around us stopped to whisper, staring at us wistfully hoping for a fight.
"Lio... I'm not lying about anything," He grumbled. I could feel his body trembling.
"STOP LYING TO ME!," I screamed. Before I knew it, I was launched into the air, a flaming hot grip burning my wrist. After that, the pain of my face pinned into concrete was all I could think about. What happened?
I could hear Magnus panting above me, his voice shaking.
"What the hell do I have to lie to you about you damn nerd! Want the truth! I hated you! I hate you still! You're a weakling wannabe who could never make it anywhere in your life. You know what I think? You're grasping for some lie that can make you feel less alone in the world. But the truth is, you are alone. You will always be alone!," He yelled almost breathlessly. He let me go, his words striking me in a way I never thought they could. I turned, glaring up at him. For a second, I almost though I could see tears in his eyes.
"If that's what you think... Why did you nurse me back to health?," I demanded with confusion. He turned away from me, clenching my fists.
"Because I felt sorry for you. You had no friends left. No parents. No home. You were nothing... And I tried to make you more than you really are," His voice broke off when he said that.
"Wow..," I whispered. For once the voice in my head was silent.
"I-," I froze, suddenly the breath ripped out of me as suddenly I'm stuck in my head once again.
"What am I doing here?," I demanded from the guy with the chains. He looked up. his right eye glowing violet.
"Because... You wanted to be here.. You wanted a response.. But the thing is, You chose to ignore me. The real Lio. You're just a fake personality running around in a life you dont belong in. You want to keep my body, go ahead, but you have to live your own life as well," He growled. He cocked his head, a crack echoing in the distance between.
"Please.. I dont want to be alone," I begged, the first hit of fear finally ripping through me.
"Let me in, I'll stop this," He started almost excitedly.
"No! I wont ever let you in," I growled. He sat back, a flash of anger covering his face.
"Fine,"
As fast as I arrived there, I was back in my conscious body, staring up at Magnus.
"Tsk," He turned and stormed off, leaving me laying on the ground, wondering where I went wrong.
Flare
I smirk, watching the video Claire took of Magnus and Lio.
"So dear old Lios finally out in the open... And to make things better, He doesnt remember anything from before he woke up... How incredible," I cackled, turning to Claire and the metallic armed Diego, each staring at me for an order.
"Sir, what's your orders," Diego asked. I turned, locking eyes on Claire.
"Hey Claire, darling. Go show them your true power. Introduce yourself to the world," I roared. She smiled, turning on her heel.
"Yes my lord," She cheered, before walking out the door. I turned to Diego.
"Diego, find that damned Puppet master. She will pay for killing Lyra,"
Sarah
I walked silently down the road, a large cloak covering my head. Ryan walked beside me in silence, his head bowed.
"Were you ever gonna tell me Rywn?," I demanded in a low tone. He stopped, grabbing my shoulder.
"Sarah, I couldn't... I was always busy trying to keep her eyes off of Lio... You didnt see it when Lio lost control after Flare destroyed Lyras branch of the silver claw gang, but Magnus and I did. He scared me. And Tara hunts down people like Lio for a living. Shes a assassin for gods sake. I didnt want her to Hunt him down for something hes trying so hard to control," He muttered. I looked up into his dark eyes, a feeling of disappointment.
"So yet again.. You were too busy worrying about him to even consider how it made me feel. I thought you were dead! I cried for weeks straight after I thought you died. And all you have to say is you were protecting Lionel. Well, good for you. Glad to know hes so much more important than I am," I growled, turning away from him with a scowl. I stomped off, hearing him rushing to catch up.
"What! No that's not what I meant!," He tried. I glared at him, clenching my fists.
"So you're telling me if you had to choose between me and Lio, you'd choose me?," I grumbled, picking up my speed. He caught up easily.
"I'm not gonna choose between you two-," He growled.
I stopped turning to him with burning eyes.
",For once in my life, I actually thought someone cared about me. Wanted me. I actually thought you'd choose me!," I cried, a single tear slipping down my cheek. I turned, taking a deep breath and storming ahead.
"Were here," I grumbled. We looked up at the SilverClaw gang headquarters. I drew my dark blades from my cloak, feeling my right eye burn like several markings around my body. Ryan's hands sparked almost as brightly as his smirk.
"Let's send these bastards to hell,"
Lio
I sit alone on a park bench, staring at the ground in silence. Maybe hes right. Maybe I deserve to be alone. Theres something awfully beautiful about that concept though. I can become my own person... I can live my own life. I can work for me, and no one else.
But theres something off about it too. I feel like Magnus was my last tie to who I used to be. Somehow... I dont like that thought.
"Just tell me something... Was it always like this," I asked the old me in my head. He just shook his head, giving me a sad smile.
"No. but why should you care. It's not your life," He had grumbled.
Hes right. I shouldn't care. But the thing is, I want to know who I was. But do I really have to give that old side of me power in order to achieve that? No...
I think back to Magnus. His mom.. He said his mom is a cop. I'm most likely in some sort of system. .. If I can get into the Police department.. Maybe I can find out who I used to be. But that means, being around Magnus... Whatever hes hiding, I will find out.
And then, whiever did this to me will suffer.
