Opportunity.

Is this his vehicle? A hybrid Peugeot 508? I'm stupid about how I think about him! I'm ashamed.

Only wealthy businessmen can afford such expensive cars! Who is this person, really?

I observed him approach his vehicle as he opened the passenger door for me.

"I suggest you sit inside now or you will catch a cold because it's a bit chilly here in Bredon." He said.

I hesitated at first but when I looked at his eyes, they we're...sincere.

Finally convincing myself for about a second, I nodded in agree and sat inside the passenger's seat.

I observed him as he closed the door and made his way to the driver's side of the vehicle.

When he got inside, he fastened his seatbelts before turning the ignition.

Right, safety first.

I was about to wear a seatbelt too when he suddenly spoked.

"You should put your seatbelts on."

And much to my surprise, he carefully avoided touching my body while he fastened my seatbelt.

His lovely perfume caused me to blush, and my heart to tumble.

Why am I feeling this way?

He had already started the car when I suddenly regained consciousness.

"Tell me which way is your home, so I could drive you safely through there." He said with his calm voice.

"O-oh! I-i Lived in a Apartment, around in Arkaley boulevard. Just downtown." I answered in a shy tone.

It's the first time I've had a ride home and met a kindhearted man like him.

Bright lightposts were aligned on the sidewalk as he began to drive through the streets of Bredon, and the absence of several cars in the neighborhood gave me a feeling of relaxation.

For a brief moment, I caught his eyes fixed on the road, but what caught my attention was the gold ring on his right hand's index finger, which he was holding onto the steering wheel while he drove.

Yet that ring wasn't just any ring.

It's a lion signet ring, and the strange thing is that it reminds me of something.

I had to admit that he's a mysterious guy! But good looking too.

"What is your name, Miss?" He suddenly asked, his eyes on the road.

H-he's asking my name! Should I say it? Of course I have to!

"My name? Well, my name is Ghilette Haven Fritz." I answered, holding onto my journal on my lap. I tried hard not to shiver because the air conditioner inside the car was kinda high and keeping my eyes outside the window while watching the passerbys walked through the sidewalks.

In my peripheral vision, I saw him looked at me for a moment then focused back on the road.

"What a unique name you have." He complimented and I can't avoid but to smile a little.

"Why thank you. My neighbor called me Haven for short." I said and the car stopped from the stop light.

"Haven is quite a nice name too. Who named you that? Is it your Mother? Or your Father?" He questioned and gazed at me with his admirable smile.

When he mentioned those words, I started to feel bitter.

I looked down with my tearful expression.

I forced a controlled grin as I faced him, trying to fight not to cry in front of him. "I don't know who are my parents are and I'm just only adopted when I was just an infant, My Auntie was the one who adopted me and named me."

I thought he's going to apologize or what but he smiled at me in a sweet way.

"Don't worry you'll meet them soon."

I had a variety of feelings upon hearing those words come out of his mouth.

Is that what I heard? I had hoped that he would give me some sort of consolation, but this man makes me feel special.

In particular, he gives me this kind of vibes, thus I want this feeling to linger for a while.

When the light changed to green, the automobile once more began to move and made a right turn.

I turned away from him and fixed my eyes on the road, fidgeting my fingers to pass the time as the journey became casual.

I closed the car door and waved at him through the opened passenger's window.

"Thank you again for bringing me home." I thanked, embracing the journal onto my chest.

"My pleasure, Haven." He grinned and he waved back at me and my eyes sudden locked on his lion signet ring.

The window started to close slowly and then left from my presence.

I inhaled the cold night air and let out a heavy sigh.

I do feel something about him but not in a romantic way..and I can't even explain it to myself like I'm missing something.

There is something about him that I wanted to know.

I clicked open the lamp on my study table and opened my journal to check if it's tampered.

Checking the pages carefully flipping it.

It appeared to me that applying for jobs in Bredon was more difficult than it was in Sudbury, where I grew up.

It was a little challenging for me to find an opportunity here.

I at last found the page where the properly affixed cut-out magazine and newspaper articles on the Leopolds were posted.

The Leopolds were well-known in Bredon, even in the suburbs, due to the popularity of their last name.

Before I graduated, I always dreamed working in their company. How I always study and work hard to get through their company's standard then I tried to apply there for a couple of times that I always got rejected because they said I was still lacking.

I almost laugh upon that thought.

Then I suppose I'll have to move and find a new position that's suitable for me.

Nonetheless, I was unaware that my tears were dripping down my cheeks and onto the journal.

I wailed as my tears began to dribble down the page, "O-oh no, I-getting it's wet." I hurriedly grab a tissue to wipe the wet areas, but as I was about to wipe, I caught sight of a card edge poking through the wet paper.

Like I can completely see there's something behind this page.

Instead, I wiped the tissue on my eyes and cheeks.

Carefully flipping the page..My eyes suddenly widen from what I saw. A-a Business card? From whom?

I gasped when I read the Leopold's company name was written onto the card.

No way!

I covered my mouth and my tears came running again through my cheeks due to joy.

I-it's directly named at the head office! And there's the direct line of the President of the Company!

I cried happily.

Is this it? But who could be the one put it in my journal? Who?

I grabbed the business card and flipped it to the other side, there a gold lion signet was printed at the back. Meaning it really came from them.

I suddenly remembered the nice guy who wore a lion signet ring that looks like exactly like this!

C-could it be?
