Chapter 7/ Part Five

Lines of Love; Chapter Seven/ Part Five

Astra/

The news Gina brought home was surprising but amusing in its own way. To think we managed to pull everyone else up into our flow of being so free and loving unrestricted. I think this would be an amazing memory for all of us going forward. Gina seemed happy about the idea that she even started using her phone more to start planning and helping them all. This made her happy so I supported her and even contributed a few ideas or things that could help. Victoria had agreed to the idea as a step forward for them but they wanted to have a second wedding to renew their vows. Which gave me an idea to have all of us turn this wedding into our family tradition.

Originally weddings happen once to one person till you move on from them. But to us, we all agreed it should mean something special, not just a simple one-time thing. We should be able to come back at the same time and on the same day to announce our vows once more to the one we love. Just like that, we created a tradition out of a standard thing expected of most people but this was just the start. The world tossed us all aside in some way or another so we took its traditions and standard expectancy making them ours. We will build our world inside of this world using things in our way to create most of our memories.

When I told everyone this I was surprised how receptive they were to this idea. Even Abigail was thrilled to take part in this tradition when she gets older. But of course, I will be putting anyone trying to take away my Abigail through profiling, I'm sure Gina will help me do this which makes it all the better. All that was left was a date we should do this and everyone couldn't arrive at a conclusion. So I told them how about in November which was the next month on the ninth which seemed like a lucky number. After several laughs through our texting group and stickers being posted everyone agreed.

The days that followed were filled with many preparations and games. Gina took Victoria, Cassie and I took Cait and Joy our objective for the game was simple, get each person ready for the wedding. When that was done everyone was to gather at our back road little tavern to reveal the fruits of everyone's labor. That's where we would begin the final preparations to set up the most perfect weddings ever. We had to gather several cake ideas and decorations that everyone would want. In truth, my side had an easy win since none of us had any desire to be too extravagant. So we spent our time finding clothing tomboys like us could handle and also decorations our partners would love.

Time was flying by as we spent every day in our groups and talking in the group chat. We even had a truce day where we all had dinner together before resuming the competition. We all expected to have angry wives when this was over but to see their faces when they see we did very little, priceless. We were coming to the end of our time limit for getting everything we can all that was left was to sort and organize what we would use. I decided to call my mother in to help since she wanted to be a part of this and I did agree to give my family a chance for Abigail's sake.

"So Gina you think this is a good idea... I know it's for Abigail's sake but my mother..."

"You know them best but she seemed genuine in wanting to make up for the past. The choice is yours but I think you could use this in your own way."

She was right which was normal at this point I think I mostly just feel a little bitter still. But if they were gonna be in Abigail's life then we should start sooner rather than later. I want to give her the biggest family I can so she will always have love and support in a world known to be cruel and beautiful. Tomorrow we will be meeting everyone to get the last of our preparations settled so we can set up the reception area and such. Strange enough Jean and Dan have been out of reach lately I wonder if they will make it to the wedding.

As morning came I soon found myself awoken by the sunlight peaking into our room. The rays highlighting her beautiful face which was my greatest moment of every day.

"Hey, beautiful... Time to wake up, I think I hear someone needing saving."

"Who could possibly need saving so early in the morning... Just five more minutes please."

"But if you continue sleeping I will be all alone, staring at your beautiful face. I don't think I could survive being the only one awake."

"Well, I would save you but... I hear a sidekick up and about."

Just as those words left her mouth Abigail must have heard us talking as she came rushing into the room. We all spent the playing around tickling one another till Abigail asked for pancakes which I eagerly accepted while Gina woke herself up more. The day passed by rather quickly till we had to meet up with everyone and start the planning.

As the time came around for the meetup Gina decided to shop for a few things. I was sure everyone else had similar ideas but today was gonna belong. Gina and I were the second to arrive which meant everyone was running a little late. Abigail was super happy to see Joy and Cassie so Gina and I decided to start getting food ready. It makes me so happy how everyone has fallen in love with her it's the love I want her surrounded by growing up.

Gina wanted to do finger food snacks till everyone arrived to decide on dinner plans. Her idea was to make the wedding snacks she's been working on to see how everyone likes them. It was adorable to see how excited she was getting over it since she was shy to do this before.

" Hey, Cassie have you heard from Dan?"

" No I have tried to reach him and Jean but they haven't responded yet... I'm a little worried but mother says everything is gonna be fine. So I guess we will have to wait and see, I told him of the wedding plans. So I can't wait"

It is strange for them to both be so silent but I'm sure everything will be fine. That's when cars started pulling up one after another which sent Abigail rushing outside. I helped pull Gina away from the snacks to greet everyone which got me a pout. Soon I was making introductions for my mother and Brother before everyone settled down to discuss things.

Percy pulled me outside to talk but I kind of understood what the real reason was. The last time he tried I ignored him and just lashed out at him.

" Hey... I don't wanna keep bringing it up but I wanna apologize... You are my sister and I shouldn't have done it you know?... Im a mess but that's just an excuse. I wanna be your brother, Astra."

He was being sincere for what it's worth but the pain doesn't leave me alone easily. Besides he crossed a line with Gina so they are ultimately to blame. The only solution I could come to was doing this for Abigail, letting her decide her own family.

" Im doing this for Abigail... Do not mistake my restraint to be a show of forgiveness to either of you for some time... But Abigail deserves a chance to choose her family, that's all. We are done with this now."

I had to get away from him before I lost my cool and ruined this occasion. I feel like I'm the cause of this but it's like how it use to be in the past, taking unnecessary blame that wasn't mine. But it was easier to accept what happened that way but now I'm trying to address it and it is so difficult. I want Abigail to know the horrible person I was before I grew up but I also want her to know the coward I was too. Whatever I have to do to prevent her from making my mistakes.

After cooling down I made it back inside to join everyone else who had just started discussing everything. As expected Myself Cait and Joy had gotten scolded by our better half for our lack of effort. However even after all was said it seems they had covered for us by handling our part too, they really are too good for us. Mother was contributing a lot but it was clear her attention was on Abigail which I liked seeing.

After some hours passed every decided to break for snacks and Gina's possible catering food. But she didn't have to worry just as I said since everyone loved them. Our coming days feel like a speeding train and my happiness seems to find new heights to climb.
