Guns and bullets

After a long deliberate talk the Luna finally decided.

"Young lord, we will abide and agree with your terms for now, we have only one request. That you will preserve the culture and history of our cities that our ancestors slowly build and protected including protecting it's citizens." Kendall Wintere said in a serious manner.

"I will remind you of the terms that we will agree upon." Zion gestured to the hologram, there floated the agreement but he still read them.

In summary, the terms would be that they will open trade any materials and resources in exchange for a stable amount of food products and resources or monetary. In which the products traded would not be resold or re trade without prior notice from both parties.

The agreement also include that Zion and his resources would be used in building new facilities, roads and other needed structures for any venture in connection with the trade.

They would also give a portion of the income to Banawe Kingdom as form of tribute, hence included income from the five cities from only the resources both parties would agree.

Golden Sand City

"Emissary Lexon, I have heard that the trade agreements have been finalized and resources have steadily flowed in and out of both parties. But what of these new development from the Five cities?" King Barabas was happy but was in a curious manner.

"Sire, it was certainly the case and the latter information is also true. I have already investigated and they started to create tall glass walls, on the information from our network, they have discovered new sites of mining area and as they build roads with the help Zion as agreed upon by the trade agreement they needed a protection from wild beast that is frequent in the desert and from the dark forest. And in the report, they will occupy all possible routes of beasts, they also fortified the areas in with bandits are frequent. All in all, it is a normal move to establish a long term goal of delivering the goods safe and unhindered." Lexon did not waste to flower his words and only said the details which is very important as the matter they were talking to was a priority and of great importance to the King.

"Wonderful, roads and walls but why would they use glass? Is it more practical to use wood if they have no budget on more sturdier materials?"

"Sire, the glass they put as wall were amazing according to the report. It can turn it's color into anything and even project images of other beast which would frighten incoming beasts. They said to use it to hide the activities and the carriages that would travel in and out of the mines and into the dark forest, in that sense the beast will be less curious if they can't see beyond the glass. And it would also avoid observations from bandits in the area. And lastly, the glass is not of ordinary material, they mixed something in it to be sturdy and can handle a few blue rank beast attacks." Lexon explained.

"Impressive. at this point there is no need to observe but still I am curious of their improvements rather than something else so continue the investigation." The king then satisfied with the information and relaxed at his throne.

Meanwhile the glass wall was intended as the report but it's true purpose is beyond that.

Snow Fort

Life on the fort as slowly but steadily improving, the capital has supplied huge amounts of resources and funds which lured merchants anew and house some migrants and even citizens from other nearby cities. It was a fresh start for them after the huge commotion of the death of Duke Rygorn was slowly forgotten.

"Hey man, I miss the food from the Ruin, if not for these packages we have to deliver, I would have permanently stayed at that that place, at least we could eat better and find job. After this job I would definitely return there and stay permanently, I am getting old and need a family, somehow I finally find a place that I could be comfortable." A merchant man said as he ate dry bread and drink cheap beer.

"Your right, after this I will convince my wife in the capital to migrate there. I hope I could make sense to her, If not I would find a way to force her to join me..Hahahaha, that would be my last resort." His companion has the same sentiment.

An off duty official from the Lord of Snow Fort heard what their talking and butted inn.

"Miss, can you get a glass of wine for me I would like to share it with this gentlemen over here." A bit drunk and confident the young officer obviously wanted some information, So the two merchant understood and laughed in dry voice.

"Allright show me." Various designs ranging from practical but a bit weird looking up to sleek and cool but compromise a bit of practicality still Zion choose those with a bit of aesthetic design and pleasing to the eye. One in particular was in the category of Infantry which they need badly.

It was a simple design, more on heavy side with thick armor but still agile looking (Author here, just search Mars studio's Dark Steel on the internet)

"Alright, this would be our final design for infantry, besides we already finished the Mana Infused Bullet for future use only."

The concept of bullet and conventional weapon that Zion know of from his era, was not viable on this planet. Simply because of Mana, and Aura alone would deflect bullets and if a user can create a shield one can deflect bullets from tanks and even missiles. Only mana infused objects could actually penetrate mana aura and shield itself. Then the question of why not infuse bullets with mana, it is actually possible for Zion but it could not be done in the past before the cybernetic nanobot discovery.

Objects infused by mana forcefully would instantly diminish as soon as the connection of the object and mana user disconnects. Same with the bullet concept, after it leaves the connection of the gun from the user, it's mana would diminish instantly making the mana infused bullet return into a normal bullet. But, because Cybernetic nanobots can manipulate mana, they can be mixed into bullets and even after the bullet leaves the connection of the shooter, the mana will retain controlled by the bots. However, the bullet depending on the target would have varying penetration power. Bullets even with cybernetic nanobot and virus enhancer is still small, and if the enemy decides to increase his mana aura or shield, the mana infused bullet could not penetrate.

Zion was careful of using these kinds of technology as it would be disastrously if the enemy would learn of such kind of technology, although the probability of them discovering is zero for now, it would not hurt to be cautious. Also death even on the side of the enemy would be a waste of potential resources, that is why he chose traditional way of fighting. In that sense the battle could be controlled easily with less casualties.

"This projectile technology is still a huge deterrent in the future if known that is why we should continue to research.
