Conqueror

The time allotted for the response has expired, meanwhile the cities along the river was fortified as decreed by the throne.

"Sire news of 2 cities Pasanluna and Shadaizak have fallen to the to enemy hands, no information of the happening but, they locked the city as soon as it was captures. Also a package was given to us by a flying mechanical object just now." The soldier reported and presented the small treasure box with a letter attached to it. Delfin was baffled as he took the package, after inspecting it he concluded that there is nothing suspicious.

A communication steel ball and a letter. The letter only said to say the word Hermes.

"HERMES." Delfin said. The communication steel ball glowed blue and Delfin who was startled dropped the box entirely along with the communication device and it rolled to the floor.

[Greeting, I am Hermes a messenger. Here is a message from our King Zion Arche Urza.] "Banawe Kingdom, supposed response has not arrive and with it the chance of exchange of prisoners, we initiated the attacks on the two cities to give an example, and to give the ruling party of Banawe kingdom a chance to surrender, but because the first supposed agreement is not fulfilled, I have created a new one. In addition to surrendering the cities along Holon River, we will strip the royalty and all nobles including military officers and the ministers of privileges' and authority if the surrender is not given after three days. Still we will continue to capture cities along the river up until the surrender is given. Lastly this message is also given to all the cities under Banawe Kingdom. With the Blessing from Demur and Lumen..Long Live Urza and maybe long live Barabas." It was a very nonchalant message

[After decision, call my name and speak of the decision] after the message ended, the communication device legs contracted and then the steel ball became dormant again.

The voice message shocked everyone, though a device like this is not new, it is very difficult to attain as it needs a lot of mana and a huge array of devices. Not only that, the message was impactful as they now knew that the enemy have the power and capability to back their demands. They were also in a pinch as to what to do. The Capital was among the cities to be surrendered but if they chose not to and the cities were captured, they will be strip of authority.

"Ministers, the message is a clear pure arrogance, they hope to sow discord among us. But if we act now and fight we will have a very huge change of winning." Delfin, immediately gave his opinion to block any thoughts from the nobles and officials.

"Sire even if we gather the remaining army, they would only amount to a little more than 200 thousand men. The army the king gathered also amounted the same but they failed, how would we defeat an enemy we don't know the capabilities off." One minister rebutted as he was concern of being striped of power if the unknown happens.

"Minister Doloren was right sire, if we surrender now, we will retain of our ranks and maybe we can counter after that in the pretense of surrendering." another minister added.

"Foolish, do you think they will honor their words? They are Demonic tribes that will brainwash all of us. We will all be dammed and cursed." After hearing all the details about the newly established Urza Kingdom, Delfin could not make sense of everything, and attributed their success to demons.

"Sire, our problem would be the nobles." The minister who was also a noble know the sentiment, if their authority of noble would be on a risk, they will have a difficult time to chose and may even surrender outright in exchange to retain their rule and authority.

"I don't care, let them surrender but send my message to all cities that after this war, all that did not join will be considered enemy of Banawe."

The message was sent, and it instilled confusion among the nobles and rulers. They were put in a dilemma.

The allotted time ended, and it was time for the conclusion. Half of the cities surrendered and half joined agreed to Delfin but, immediately they were conquered even as they have prepared ahead of time.

Before Delfin could assemble his force, Most of the cities were already defeated and conquered. Even small cities and villages was not spared.

Pasanluna City

"Sire, why would we include the small villages in the conquest?" A general said as they plan the next attack. As he thought that it was more efficient if they go target directly the main cities and from there, expand.

"Our enemies are already gathering their men to counter, and if they conclude that a village is under us even if they are not, many civilians will be harmed. I did this to protect them, by conquering them, I will have the responsibility to defend them. We are also short on MKD's and we should time our attacks to the MKD's delivery. Because we lack the man power, we heavily rely on MKD's. They will have to protect their own city and at the same time they will be under our control."

The officer nodded as they listened and their questions were satisfied.

The attacks continued, even after Delfin gathered his forces. As they arrived at the Conquered Cities, they were deflected by the cities own soldiers with some newly installed autonomous weapons and drones. Delfin then abandoned his first venture and moved to another city but was welcomed with resistance the same.

The frustrated Delfin has turned his attention to smaller cities and even villages in hope to recruit and soldiers but was resisted again, the villages were abandoned while the people enter bigger cities that is under Urza.

Their land units and even the cavalry is not fast enough to level the speed of the Hornet as they conquer city by city.

At night in Delfin's Camp the generals are gathered.

"Sire, there is no news of the King. Our scouts reported that Urza Army riding the Aerial Vehicles are spotted near Samahanaqan City, while they were engaged by the our aerial troops in hope of slowing them down, they could not simply do so, their attempts yield nothing."

"I believe that they will conquer all cities along the river in no time, and they will likely attack the capital last. If the news would spread to the ministers and nobles, we won't be able to get back, they will surely rebel. My decision have put you all in great risk. I will not interfere even if you yourselves surrender. But I myself would continue this resistance and gather more men around the Kingdom, whatever will happen, I will not resent anyone of you here no matter what you decide." Delfin tried to resist, but even with vast soldiers, he would have to raze his own city to the ground to achieved victory and it would have defeated the purpose of freeing his men from the conquerors.
