--- Chapter 14 ---
On a snowy path, a tall youth wearing a thick hide coat walks calmly, even whistling amidst this cold day. He has long white hair and obsidian eyes, shining with utter confidence.
Every step he took was heavy, creating a 'deep' hole in the snow.
Yet the youth didn't care.
He hummed happily, carrying a long white spear on his shoulder.
Yes, this youth is our favorite Wild Horse, Tenma!
Tenma chewed on a grilled fish he had cooked before departing from Mount Akamushi and felt relieved as his strength increased by a leap.
He could protect himself and others now.
Before going to Dragon Veins, Tenma is around level 10.
Now, Tenma is level 30-40, depending on the situation.
Tenma couldn't wait to defeat Kanae and watched her jaw drop in shock.
Ten years? Pfft!
Oh, my sweat, Older Sister. You're still too naive.
In a great mood, Tenma strode with momentum and charged toward the Wakami Village. He also couldn't wait to see Tamako's dumbfounded expression.
"Huh?" On his way to the Wakami Village, Tenma saw a broken wooden carriage stuck in the snow.
Tenma tilted his head and smelled nothing from the carriage, which meant no demons involved.
However, he can still sense malice with Heart's Eyes.
Thud!
The snow under Tenma suddenly fell off, revealing a deadly pitfall with sharp sticks beneath.
Stab!
He stabbed his spear into the wall and hung on it, watching the situation below with a look of interest. A bloody figure of a man pierced by sharp sticks entered Tenma's vision.
His breathing is faint, indicating that he is still alive but not for long. Not to mention, his body is purple from frostbite.
It's a miracle this fellow is still breathing.
"What's up, homie? Are you good?" Tenma asked humorously, trying to lift the mood.
"..."
"I see. You're a quiet type."
[Tenma, your EQ is terribly low]
Unexpectedly, the bloody man opened his mouth.
"R-Run..."
"Rokan..."
"Bandits..."
After that, he stopped breathing and depressingly passed away.
"Rest in peace, homie!" Tenma shook his head and bounced up, landing on the solid surface again.
He heard several hurried steps. He turned around and saw the sight of brown-clothed men rushing toward him.
Each of them carries a machete or other kind of weapon.
"Haha, look, Boss! There is a handsome boy!" shouted one of the brown-clothed men. "We can sell him for a high price to those rich ladies in the big cities!"
A towering and more muscular brown-clothed man led the group. "Hmm, profit, profit! Yesterday, we sold a woman and her daughter to a nobleman in Hoseki City. Haha, we can party again today!"
Hearing them, Tenma couldn't help but frown.
Yesterday's weather wasn't bad. One can travel without getting trapped in a snowstorm.
However, it is also the perfect time for scum to make a move.
Tenma wasn't surprised by slavery. In this era, parents sold their children to be financially better. However, stealing someone's wife and daughter and selling them away are straight-up monster moves.
Even Tenma won't do such a thing, except when Otsutsuki is involved.
'The police probably didn't know about this.' Tenma thought to himself. In fact, the police are nothing but slow snails in this era.
And this desolate mountain area is out of their reach.
"Don't worry, homie. I will avenge you." Tenma said while glancing at the hole behind him.
"Hahaha, did you hear that, Boss? This kid said he'd avenge that poor man! So funny, this is so fucking funny!" Another brown-clothed man laughed his ass off.
Tenma shook his head and pointed White Night at them, "Using my spear will be a humiliation for my recent masterpiece, so I will just kill you with this plank."
He stabbed White Night into the thick snow and grabbed a thin wooden plank from the broken carriage.
"Let's dance, shall we?" Tenma leisurely ran toward them.
"Look, kid. Let me teach you something about the real world!" A brave bandit also charged at Tenma, swinging his machete.
Tenma dodged the machete and swung his wooden plank without any breathing technique. Well, he didn't need to.
Tenma's physical prowess is monstrous. He can still move nimbly with 2-ton extra weight and even pummel five tigers to death with one punch.
"Heh, kid!" The brave bandit snorted. But soon, his eyes widened by the intense pain and cracking noise from his shattered rib cage.
"What-!"
BAM! Brak!
The brave bandit was 'literally' sent flying to the snow-covered pine tree nearby, losing the glimmer of his eyes. His chest caved in, pouring blood non-stop, signing his death.
"K-Kotaro!"
The rest of the bandits were shocked by this.
One moment, they are laughing.
And another moment, they plunged into despair.
Even the muscular bandit leader couldn't help but swallow his saliva to moisten his dry throat. Today was cold, but he felt even colder!

'Like music to my ears~!' Tenma smiled faintly.
It feels good to get Good Karma by doing Good Deeds!
Tenma rushed to the next bandit and yelled, "YOU DON'T KNOW ME, SON! YOU DON'T KNOW ME!"
"RUUUUUNNN!" The bandit leader shouted with all his mouth.
However, it was too late.
Tenma is like a silver flash, striking them mercilessly.
"Arrgh!"
"Blergh!"
"My balls! My balls!"
"Y-You DEMON!"
"Please spare me! I have a wife and kids at home-!"
"Sorry, I can't hear you over this JUSTICE in the air!" Tenma slammed his wooden plank down.

"Bruh, you're more evil than the rest of them." Tenma's mouth twitched as he kicked the dead bandit in annoyance. He slammed his wooden plank a few more times.
"I shouldn't have given you an easy death."
"Anyway, the last is their leader..."
Tenma surveyed the area and spotted a bleeding bandit leader crawling on the white snow.
He whistled and walked toward him, "Hey! Before I kill you, can you answer my question?"
"What's the name of that man's wife and daughter?"
"And where and to whom do you sell them?" Although Tenma isn't the type who meddles with other's problems, he has promised his homie to avenge him.
Tenma sat on the bandit leader's back, "So, what is your response, third-rate bandit leader-san? I don't have all day."
The bandit leader panicked, "T-Tsume, the wife's name is Tsume! As for the child, I believed it was Eri!"
"A nobleman named Kuri bought them in the Hobemi Village!"
"I'm afraid you're lying..." Tenma said as he squatted before the dying bandit leader. "Look at my eyes, bandit leader's eyes."
The bandit leader looked up, seeing Tenma's Sharingan rotated with their three tomoes. He froze on the spot, and Tenma gained access to his mind.
As expected, this guy is lying. He never said that the nobleman had some connection to the police.
But the more Tenma delved in, the more disgusted he became.
Tenma canceled the low-level Genjutsu and shoved a pill into the bandit leader's mouth. "Eat the damn pill."
"I call it the Excitement Pill. It makes your body ten times more sensitive to change."
"Now stand up, jump into the pit..."
"And kill yourself!" Tenma coldly said. He grabbed White Night and stored his homie's body in the inventory.
Tenma walked away, never turning his back.
A few seconds later, a blood-curdling scream echoed in the mountain.
"AAARRRRRRRGHHHHHHH!!!"

"In the world where Demons reign supreme at night, humans are just as terrifying as them in the day," Tenma said, planning to visit Hobemi Village first.
He kicked the ground and soared a few inches above the thick snow. His figure blurred into a silver blur, disappearing in the vast whiteness.
Three hours later, Tenma arrived at Hobemi Village. It is somewhat close to the Wakami Village but more accessible because they 'actually' are situated in a plain.
Tenma tied his hair and wore a straw hat. He also stored White Night in inventory and stepped into the city leisurely.
He looked for the news about a woman named Tsume and her daughter Eri. It's not hard to find them because no one can travel in thick snow these days.
Tenma arrived at the neat courtyard and saw a miserable-looking woman hugging her daughter while some snobby-looking kids threw snowballs at them.
Pak!
"Haha, looks, I hit her head! Ten points for me!" said one youngster with the biggest grin. He's definitely the son of the nobleman.
Tenma could tell from the way this brat acted. He made some snowballs and threw them at the kids, knocking them out cold.
He landed in the courtyard, standing before Tsume and Eri. They are trembling.
"Tsume, Eri?"
Tsume slowly opened her bruised eyes and looked up, "D-Do you know us?"
Tenma nodded, "Your husband... He asked for my help."
"Sorry, but I can't save him. By the time we met, he's already dying..."
Tsume's eyes widened as silent tears ran from her face. She sucked a cold breath and felt suffocated by this news.
"Before you faint, let's leave this place first." Tenma sighed, carrying Tsume and Eri on his shoulder.
After that, Tenma ran to the Wakami Village without leaving any traces for others.
[Ding! You have changed the destiny of others]

"I see, so that's how it works." Tenma smiled, carrying Tsume and Eri more gently.
