The Overbearing Fuxing Chan (3)

The God of Light looked at the little Priest who was kneeling down. When the priests knelt down, their knees were usually supported by the cushions prepared for them. After all, they would need to pray for a long time and of course, would feel pain. It was also to prevent them from injuring themselves (broken skin around the knees) simply because priests are precious important figures of the country. However, the little priest had nothing underneath him!

His breath hitched as the little Priest rose his head. Those blue eyes were sparkling, glossy with tears. The God of Light was confused as he didn't want his little Priest to be sad. The God of Light, although he was a God, didn't know what it was to be really happy that his eyes started to water...actually he had, long ago. He simply forgot how it felt after numerous millenias sitting on the throne watching the humans...

"Father."

A clear voice rung, silencing everyone, the humans and the angels alike. All eyes were on him on the God of Light. After all, the mortals could never see the God of Light and the angels could never see Liang Xingbai.

"I love you."

Those three words were filled with intimacy and everyone could feel the love oozing out of Liang Xingbai, as if he was squeezing himself dry of love, to be given to the Father. It was as if he didn't leave a single drop of love within him, everything for the Father.

Liang Xingbai moved closer to the statue, but because of the pain in his knees, he fell forward. Everyone held their breaths in, even the God of Light couldn't help but send a surge of light energy. As soon as the light energy entered Liang Xingbai's forehead, Liang Xingbai immediately touched his forehead with his hands. His face seemed intoxicated, as if he was high. Though, such a look on a three years old child's face was simply cute!

"Father...thank you! This child gives the utmost thanks to Father!"

A smile appeared on the God of Light's face, surprising the angels. If the humans saw it, they would also pee their pants in surprise. Of course, the humans didn't know of it as the statue couldn't move. However, they had to agree that every word that Liang Xingbai had said was filled with childish innocence. It was as if they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

"Father...please give your blessings."

Liang Xingbai said, brightening everyone's faces. That small three years old, praying to the Father with a smiling face, somehow made the humans' heart ment. Of course not everybody liked him. Marcus was glaring at the little boy who was the limelight of the day.

"Bless this land, make it prosper..."

The smile on the God of Light's face immediately disappeared and was replaced with a frown. If the Priest asked his to bless himself, then he would. However, the little Priest was talking about Star County. It wasn't that he couldn't...but it was that he didn't want to. His eyes narrowed down. Perhaps he should take the little Priest away from those greedy blessing sucking mortals and destroy the mortal lands instead.

After all, the races had sinned and went against him. What was the use of keeping them around? It would just be a waste of space on his side.

The angels paled in fright as the God of Light's eyes changed colours. The colour darkened as he looked at the little priest who but his lips, hesitant to say something. His current facial expression was easily readable, even by the angels. It was a facial expression that was unbefitting of a God. It was the 'come-to-Father-and-tell-all-your-troubles-no-need-to-be-hesitant-Father-will-not-bite' expression.

"Father...will you help me?"

As soon as those words left his lips, everybody held their breaths again. If the boy was to pray to the Father and they had to listen, they might die due to heart attack, or lungs complications. The boy willfilly asked the Father to help him bless Star County? Or was there a problem with the boy that no one actually knew of? Everyone knew that it was inappropriate to ask the God of Light what you wanted. The God of Light might destroy him! All of them, except for Marcus, worriedl looked at Liang Xingbai.

Soon, a surge of light energy went over to Liang Xingbai. Some servants wanted to push Liang xingbai away, they couldn't risk the fact that Priest Xingbai had angered the Father and lost a priest without having him repent. However, the light energy entered Liang Xingbai's forehead without much resistance and the little boy smiled comfortably, as if he just ate a good meal.

"Thank you...thank you very much!"

The God of Light looked at the face in front of him. This believer might be different from the others. He would personally nurture this Priest until he became the highest in the continent. The dragons would have to bow down to him, the elves would have to play their best tunes for him, the gnomes would have to make the finest things for him, the angels would have to sing their herald for him, the beastkin would have to serve him well and the humans...they should worship him as a God like him. The demons would run from his presence and the undead would saw hope in receiving his favour.

"Hmph, it should be like that, you shouldn't care much about those low lives," the God of Light harrumphed, "they would bow down at your feet, worshipping you along with me."

After ending things with another "I love you", Liang Xingbai reluctantly stood up and walked to the side. He still wanted to talk to the Father, however, the time was up.

He could talk to the Father soon, though. After the ceremony, he could talk to the Father freely without restraint. He could talk about long matters, pray while doing a handstand or even talk about his love life...which he didn't have yet. He smiled brightly at the thought of showing all of himself to the Father. This was something the normal him would never dare to do.

Everyone saw that Liang Xingbai's knees were slightly shaking. They remembered that Liang Xingbai knelt without cushion. They couldn't imagine how painful it would be for the three years old boy. The hall was entirely built with stone and the altar was specially forged out of cold stone. Not only would it be painful for his knees, he still had to endure the unsettling cold from the coldstone.

However, Liang Xingbai just walked with shaky steps to the servants side. He took a tray filled with offerings to the father and walked to the statue. In a small voice that almost no one could hear (the God of Light could hear everything), he mumbled.

"I want to make them myself, but the servants say that I'm too little to do that," Liang Xingbai muttered.

*putong*

The God of Light's heart felt as if it was scratched by a kitten. His little Priest was too adorable (as expected of a three years old child). He wanted to taste his little Priest's cooking, he believed that it was going to be extremely delicious. However, he had to agree with the servants as Lian Xingbai was still three, an age too young to do household chores. He could be patient just for his little Priest.

The tray of delicacies was placed on the altar near the Father's feet. Liang Xingbai prayed for the offerings before picking up the wine jug. The wine was clear, and it was called Kuchikamisake (the traditional Japanese wine that is usually offered to their Gods. Fu Xing is a land of many cultures, so don't be confused). It was was similar to the Japanese God's offering wine in his past world. That tradition was long forgotten ever since the apocalypse. Liang Xingbai didn't expect to see a similar one in Fu Xing.

As the clear wine filled the goblet in the middle of the tray, another ray of light appeared and went into Liang Xingbai's forehead. Everytime a surge of light energy entered him, Liang Xingbai always felt comfortable and warm. Although he didn't know what it was for yet, he was sure that it was something nice, so he didn't reject it.

However, everyone were shocked when another ray of light appeared.

The corrent highest record was the Pope with three rays on his ceremony. At that time, the Pope was a full three years older than Liang Xingbai. Yer, the youngest Priest that ever lived...got one more than the most powerful man on the mortal lands. That meant, the God of Light intended to nurture him to a greater prospect.

I have been playing this game called Revelation Online. Anyone heard of it?

It's a really good MMORPG game with good graphics but more importantly splendid musicals! Most of it were composed by composer Neal Acree, who also made several OSTs for several other games that you loved (and I forgot).

The best thing, the setting is like Ancient China and the characters are magnificent. It also has an animation which is available in YouTube.
