Chapter 8

It was at 2 am.

She was feeling somebody snuggling close and holding her.

She thought she was dreaming not until she felt his hard-on hitting her ass, she woke up and scrambled away. He started to laugh, holding his belly and laughing hard.

She pouted her face and threw a pillow at him.

"I miss you too baby, aww, come here!"

She snuggled closer to him and rested her head on his chest. He held her tightly and kissed her head. Patting her hair.

"When did you come in?" her voice sounding groggy.

"Not quite long" Elijah answered.

"I'm sorry to have woken you up"

"Nah it's fine" she yawned.

"The plane was supposed to leave by 6 am but I couldn't wait to get home so I called my pilot and took my personal plane, I miss my woman you know"

Adrianna was already fast asleep, he smiled and adjusted himself on the bed with her head still on his chest.

He couldn't sleep, he loved her so much, he was thinking of them fixing a wedding date and living the life they'd always wanted, having children running around the house and all of that sweet chest

By morning they would both talk about it. Thank God for this woman in his life,

sometimes he wondered how she had managed to break past his stone-cold heart and made it to feel love again. He hadn't loved any woman apart from Susanna, they'd been married for three years and few years after then.

Adrianna had swung into his life, she had come to his company to advertise her goods and offered him the chance to create a business seminar in her office, they'd vibes well and hit it off so good and now look where they are, together in love and their bond is always stronger every day.

He had proposed to her at a five-star hotel in Hawaii. He smiled as the memories flashed through his mind.

He turned to look at her and kissed her lightly on her check earning a slight "hmm" from her.

This woman had him wrapped around her fingers, she was just too good for him, those hard years, she had helped him quit drinking heavily and smoking too, although he still smokes once in a while. When he feels like it. And so He slept off thinking about her.

IN THE MORNING

Hey baby" "Good morning", he went to her and pecked her on her lips.

"Did you sleep well?" she asked him, turning the eggs in the bowl.

"Yeah, I slept well in your arms" you rolled over and you were on me"

"Awww, that is beautiful, well breakfast is ready" she hurriedly set the foods in the plates. After they had eaten and Adrianna had cleaned the kitchen.

She went to join Elijah in his office room in their house.

He looked up to see her coming to sit on his laps.

"Babe, do you have to work?" "You just got back and you don't even have my time" she pouted her face.

"I'm sorry I have to sort this paperwork and I'm almost done" he set the files aside and held her waist "smile for me woman". her pouting face slowly changing into a smile.

"Adri there is something we have to talk about" his face suddenly became serious and his tone held some authority, her mind did a flip flop and she was starting to have a headache.

"About what" she shakily said and clears her throat.

"About us Adri, I'm thirty and in a few months I'd be thirty-one, I want us to get married and you know we aren't getting younger anymore, we've been together for long and don't you want to spend the rest of your lives with me?"

Her mind calm down and the headache disappeared, she thought Mrs. Braham had sold her out.

"Of course baby, I want us to spend the rest of our lives together and I'd love to get married to you".

"Thank you," he told her, she screamed happily.

"Yeaaahhh, Mrs. Wilkinson to be" she was screaming round his office, her hands in the air. He laughed, muttering to hhimself

"This woman is something else."

"I'm giving you four kids, Roman, London, Alessia, and Abraham" she screamed into his face.

The names, he liked it.

She ran to him and this time he caught her and pulled her onto his laps.

"Let's pack some few clothes, my pilot would be ready in a few hours, and off to Oklahoma, we go to see my parents."

"Yaaay" she screamed and ran out of the room. He laughed and followed her out.

They'd arrived at his parent's house the following morning and after they've rested a while. His younger sister was on the balcony, Adrianna walked over to her and hugged her from behind.

"I miss You, Rachel"

"I missed you more Adri" she leaned her head back on her head. The breeze blowing slightly.

"How is it going with college?" Adrianna asked.

"College is stressful and hanging out with the right set of people matters."

"What do you mean by that?" she leaned over to tuck a strand of Rachel's hair to her ear.

"I mean, for me, it's hard to have friends, so I have most of my caliber as friends and the few ones who see me beyond my family's name," she said, "and just so you know I've blended with the ordinary life" she laughed.

"Ordinary life?" Adrianna raised her brows.

"Yeah, I'm saying what the normal people do, like going to markets, going out on my own and" she paused "I have a boyfriend now, sometimes on Friday we go to the country club" "but trust me, I'm a smartie" she added clasping her hand together and resting on the balcony rails.

"Wow, your brother mustn't know, not just your brother, your parents too"

"Who cares!!!, I'm a nineteen-year-old baby girl" Rachel laughed and cocked a brow at her.

"Don't let them hear you" that was loud" Adrianna cautioned her.

"Yeah you know you should have fun and live your life like it's your last, life is too short and remember to know what you're doing. Always!. we don't want to regret anything right?" Adrianna advised her
