Chapter 34 A Prized Possession

It was two weeks after Lydia's visit and Kelly had Belle in her arms when it hit her how much of her father she could see in her.

She stared at her baby unblinking, how had she never noticed it? From the day of Belle's birth, her mind hasn't really gone to anything of that sort, but now? Now she was noticing it, the hair color, Belle had the exact same shade of brown Alexander's eyes were, her nose looked like his, her mouth, every facial features of hers were the exact replica of her father's, the knowledge was staggering.

Kelly sat back down on the chair and thought about the last time she had seen him, it had been in the hospital, the day she had given birth, ever since then, she hadn t set her eyes on him again. It was surprising she hadn t, he had been helpful at the hospital, had even been the first person to hold little Belle.

"Have you heard from Alexander?" She asked Mike later in the day in a nonchalant tone as she changed Belle into her pajamas.
