Chapter 23

"I'm here to see Aislin Hart", she said to Mr Benswel .

Everyone in the class turned to look at me, including Keenan, Ryder and his children.

"What relation do you have with her, please?", Mr Benswel asked her.

"She's my princess ",she replied, "can I talk to her?", she continued.

"Sure", he said to mum, "Miss Hart please see her outside", he said to me.

I walked hesitantly towards the door but didn't stop when I got to where mum was, rather I passed by her and went outside.

"Thanks Mr", I heard her saying behind me before walking to me.

"What's the meaning of this mum?", I asked angrily

"What's the meaning of what? Can't I talk to my baby before leaving?"

"Mum you didn't have to come to my class, you should have waited outside"

"So is that what's making you angry?"

"Mum!"

"Okay, I'm sorry", she apologized. Mum is not the type to apologize for whatever she does, whether right or wrong.

"It's okay Mum, are you leaving now?", I didn't feel the urge to miss her ever since she decided to visit my school last night but now, I feel like I'm already missing her.

"Are you worried now?", mum was being sarcastic now." I have to go and sort somethings out", she continued.

"Okay then, safe journey "

"Sure baby, take care"

"You too mum, love you"

"Don't think you can stop me with those emotional lines", she said and left without looking back. I knew leaving was difficult for her too but she had to.

I went back to class and I could feel all eyes on me.I couldn't wait for the class to end so I could ran out of the class. Hopefully it was lunch, I don't wait any second before dragging Jennie out of the class. But news could spread like wild fire since my walk to the cafeteria was like I was on the red carpet.

We joined the queue for the food but those who were infront of use left for us to take the food. It was really making me feel uncomfortable even though Jennie was enjoying it.

We took our food and went to sit at our usual spot before the R3 guys came in. They walked straight to our table and sat without invitation.

"Who was that woman from earlier?", Ryan was the one to speak first. His expression was still that one could hardly tell what he was feeling that instant.

"Do I need to tell you? Didn't you hear what she said to Mr Benswel in class or I need to repeat myself?", I didn't want him to look down on me or Jennie any longer.

"You can't be serious, how dare you talk to me in such a manner? Do you think bringing your mum here would save your ass from me?", he smirked. Oh the heavens help me so I wouldn't wipe that stupid smirk off his face.

"Point of corrections, she came to see the principal and I don't intend making your life as a hell because you are already leaving in one", I couldn't stop myself from retaliating because he was getting on my nerves. "Let's go Jennie, I lost appetite ", I said to Jennie while trying to drag her out but Reuben stopped her, not me.

"What work do your parents do?", was Reuben's question to Jennie. The question rendered her speechless for some time before she decided to talk.

"I don't have a dad, to begin with but I have a mother who tries her best to cater for me ", she stays quiet for sometime before breaking her silence after taking in a deep breath . "Do you know what makes my mum special, she didn't bring up a spoilt brat like you guys".
