"They should be arriving soon." Bibi Dong lifted her head from the pile of documents, smoothed her hair, and considered whether to go and greet them at the entrance of the Supreme Pontiff's palace.

Bibi Dong immediately stood up, adjusted her clothes, and prepared to welcome the guests.

"The Pontiff's study is just ahead, she's inside," Ao Tian said with a smile.

Xiao Wu tightly held Gu Yuena's hand, feeling a bit nervous.

At the entrance of the study, there stood a maid. When she saw Ao Tian approaching, she respectfully bowed.

Ao Tian nodded slightly and led Gu Yuena and Xiao Wu into the study.

"You're back?" Bibi Dong said gently.

As she spoke, her gaze only briefly met Ao Tian's face before landing on the two behind him, looking at Gu Yuena and Xiao Wu.

Both of the girls behind Ao Tian had tall and slender figures. The smaller one was cute and charming, very likable.

When Bibi Dong's gaze fell on Gu Yuena, she was immediately taken aback.

This girl with silver hair was even more striking than the slightly smaller one. Bibi Dong couldn't help but think that this girl's appearance was not beneath her own.

Especially that noble and queen-like air about her, it was so reminiscent of herself.

And within that nobility, there was also a touch of ethereal elegance.

Bibi Dong's internal assessment was: Both in appearance and demeanor, she is not beneath me!

While Bibi Dong was scrutinizing Gu Yuena, Gu Yuena was also assessing Bibi Dong.

Bibi Dong's delicate face noticeably froze for a moment, but then she immediately broke into a warm smile.

"Ao Tian, why don't you introduce your friend to me?" Bibi Dong walked over and firmly enveloped Ao Tian's arm in her embrace.

Her smile seemed like a display of pride, mixed with a hint of challenge.

Ao Tian felt a bit overwhelmed. They had just met, and he could already sense a strong competitive and jealous aura, something he hadn't anticipated. It almost felt like the original partner was about to have a showdown with the third party.

Ao Tian mustered his courage and introduced, "This is Gu Yuena, and this is Xiao Wu."

"And this is Bibi Dong, the current Supreme Pontiff of the Spirit Hall."

Bibi Dong released Ao Tian and smiled, "I've heard Ao Tian talk about you for years. I've been looking forward to meeting you. Come, have a seat."

Bibi Dong gestured to the adjacent reception room.

After they sat down, Bibi Dong called for tea, and the maid promptly came in to serve Xiao Wu and Gu Yuena.

"Gu Yuena, I'm curious, what ability did you use to change your form just now?" Bibi Dong inquired with interest.

She had never seen a spirit master whose body could change size.

Ao Tian's follower was a bit extraordinary.

Gu Yuena, who hadn't smiled since entering, replied directly, "I'm not human; I'm a spirit beast."

"A 100,000-year spirit beast!" Bibi Dong was startled, immediately standing up. Her soul power surged, and she watched Gu Yuena warily.

Humans and spirit beasts were naturally antagonistic with each other. Bibi Dong was well aware of how much spirit beasts despised humans.

"Could this woman by Ao Tian's side actually be a spirit beast? Did she lurk beside Ao Tian and infiltrate the Supreme Pontiff's palace, intending harm towards me? But Ao Tian... he didn't notice?" Bibi Dong's mind flashed with this thought.

She looked at Ao Tian and saw him wearing a helpless expression.

He hadn't expected Gu Yuena to be so straightforward and reveal her true identity.

Before returning, he had already masked the spirit beast aura on them. Bibi Dong wouldn't have noticed, and he planned to reveal it after everyone had gotten along well. But now, just as the fiery atmosphere had started to subside, it flared up again.

Ao Tian had no doubt that if he weren't here, a battle might really break out.

Bibi Dong's soul power surged as she watched Gu Yuena warily. Gu Yuena, on the other hand, wore a mocking expression, while Xiao Wu looked nervous, fidgeting in her seat.

Ao Tian quickly stood up, placing his hands on Bibi Dong's shoulders and pressing her back down, saying, "There's no need to be so alarmed. It's my fault for not explaining earlier. Both of them are spirit beasts. Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King, formerly possessing god-level strength, but she's taken some injuries. Xiao Wu, on the other hand, is a 100,000-year spirit beast in the form of a Soft Boned Rabbit."

"You knew all along?" Bibi Dong turned to look at Ao Tian.

Ao Tian nodded, saying, "I'm not a human to begin with. Is it so strange for me to have a few spirit beast followers?"

Bibi Dong finally relaxed, looking at Gu Yuena with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry, I misunderstood you earlier."

Gu Yuena looked surprised. The Supreme Pontiff of the Spirit Hall was actually apologizing to her; this was something she hadn't anticipated.

She suddenly realized that she was a guest in the Supreme Pontiff's palace because of Ao Tian. If she continued to give them a hard time, wouldn't that make things difficult for Ao Tian?

Thinking of Bibi Dong as Ao Tian's beloved, Gu Yuena felt a bit embarrassed. She apologized as well, "I also had my shortcomings. I shouldn't have been hostile towards you. You're the woman Ao Tian loves, and that makes you... my... friend."
