MEANING OF STEEL-HEART-2

Ragnar returned back home and washes up and rested for a bit. He needed to take enough rest to reduce the physical burden on his body. As it was right now, he would stop feeling the pain from the physical activities after some time and it might even increase his strength, but the shock to his channels will take some time to heal. It would probably be around two days before he could re start the training procedure, which he was fine with since he would have collected a good amount of stones by then.

Ragnar came down and was surprised to see that the whole family was present in the living room along with two more figure who he was unable to recognise. He chose to ignore them and go towards the kitchen, but was stopped in the middle.

"This must be you son, Ragnar." One of the men, having a pale white face and a medium build with an average face and brown eyes spoke.

"He is." Rhea said.

Ragnar didn't want to waste anymore time and hence moved towards the kitchen when Rhea spoke.

"I want to nominate him for special divison in the family's training division." Rhea said.

"You need to understand that Sonya barely managed to qualify the requirements we set for those of the special division of the family. The slot is very valuable and signifies a lot of meaning. Giving it away like that is not going to be possible." The man said.

"How about an exchange then?" Rhea asked.

"What sort of exchange?" The man asked.

"My son will be providing the family with a sword skill in return for the slot of special divison. He has the talent for it, what he needs to provide is contribution. How about it?" Rhea said.

"I am listening." The man said.

"He wil provide the Steel-Heart Sword Style as a payment for the slot." Rhea said.

The two men sitting on the couch were surprised when they heard the name. The next moment their expresison turned serious.

"Are you being serious here?" The man said.

"No she isn't. She is just inquiring about rge possibility of exchange if such a variable would have to exist." Ragnar interfered in the middle.

"It is certainly possible to do so." The man said.

"We will take you word for it. If possible we might be able to do an exchange sometime in the near future." Ragnar said. He then raised his hands and spoke. " Ragnar."

"Simon and this is Ludwig. Do inform us if such an exchnage is in your grasp." Simon said.

"Will do for sure." Ragnar said.

The two men rose from the seat and left the house. The family was back to the living room, and Ragnar watched Rhea'a footsteps carefully.

"Who the hell gave you the permission to decide things for me?" Ragnar spoke.

"How dare you speak .." Vince was about to speak something when Rhea stopped him.

"I know about your knowledge regarding the sword arts and how you learnt it while sparring with another swordsman in your academy. It is a good art and something that the family would be happy to recieve in exchange for a slot in the special divison. Do you understand what the special division mean? It is the core faction of the family that supports geniuses from all the branches through resources, arts, skills, tomes and guidance form the best cultivators within the family with allowing them the usage of all the channels available to the family for usage. It is a huge boon for us." Rhea said.

"I don't care what they can offer or what the special division of a fallen family might have. How dare you try and pawn things that are not even yours?" Ragnar looked at her with a murderous look. "Only I can decide what happens to the things I own. Your opinion is not asked for neither will it be considered. This is the last time I will take bullshit from you and your husband. Interfere with my life once again and you will see what I do to those who dare cross paths against me."

"Shut you mouth up." Vince could no longer take it and rose from his seat. " How dare you talk to you mother like that? She is trying her best to think for your future and you are jeopardizing all her efforts time and time again. So what if she did what she has to do to get you to the special divison of the family. It would be beneficial for you if you manage to reach there. The number of channels that would open up for you would be immense. How could you threaten her for something she did with your benefit in mind?" Vince said.

"Even when you were a waste she did here best to support you. She spent nights thinking about how to make your life better and all that the sorry ass of yours could do is bicker negatively about her efforts. I have had enough of you shenanigans. From now on, live like a member of this family, or get out of the house if you think yourself to be so capable." Vince said.

Rhea and Sonya tried to stop him since he went too far in his comments.

"Fine then." Ragnar said. All the eyes turned towards him. " I will be leaving this house and this family. I will be out by tonight. I don't need association with you or a fallen family such as Avalon anymore."

Ragnar no longer cared for these idiots to wait and even a conversation. He had made up his mind regarding leaving the house. He knew he didn't have any money for now, but he had various ways to earn it. He was positive he could do so. He went to his room prepared his bag, in which he simply out the pouches he got from Sally and left the room. Those twelve Middle grade stones were all he had as an asset.

He storm out of his room with the bag and without even looking at the three people who were watching them with sorrowful eyes, he stormed out.

"Ragnar. Stop right there." Sonya ran towards him and grabbed his hand. " Dad said those thing by mistake. You don't need to mind them. How could you leave this family so easily? Come back inside."

"Since you were the only one good to me, I will tell you something today sister. Make sure to keep into your brain." Ragnar drew close to her and whispered in her ears. " Unlike the waste in the house behind you, and the fallen, waste family behind them, I don't need family's support to grow. I am more than capable enough to grow by myself, just like the original bearer of this name. He was right to destroy a family like Avalon, since they were never supposed to amount to anything. I wish you very best luck sister. This is the last time you will hear from me."

Ragnar grabbed his bag tightly and left.
