Legacy of Harry Potter

Harry Potter, the Boy-who-lived was meant to be great. He was not meant to be someone who rode on his luck to survive and was never the powerful wizard he was meant to be. Favour from Amelia Bones

[Let the Power Stones Continue. Thank you for the support after my request yesterday.]

November 1994

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

"Any news on what Dumbledore has been doing?" Asked Harry after a moment of silence.

Amelia shook her head, "No… after he was thrown out of the Hogwarts wards, there is no news from his side."

"Well though, only one night has passed and Dumbledore is not someone who would react in haste… we can hope for a response from him in the coming days."

"As of now, even his avid supporters are maintain complete silence," she added. "Even yesterday, when Lucius was demanding action against you, they maintained their silence."

Harry nodded. His mind still wondering about what did the old coot want?

"Madam Bones," said Harry in a serious voice. "I have an additional task for which I would need your help."

Amelia raised her eyebrows and looked inquisitively at Harry. He did not speak and extended his hand. Amelia looked at him in confusion but nonetheless reached for Harry's hand and both of them apparated away.

November 1994

Peverell Manor

When the duo reappeared, they were stood in dimly lit but very large hall. The walls of the hall were high and its size was as massive as the great hall of the Hogwarts. The hall was completely empty and had nothing special about it other than its size.

"Where are we?" asked Amelia as she looked around the hall.

"Peverell Manor," answered Harry without keeping any suspense. "More specifically, a magical basement in the manor."

Amelia's eyes widened slightly in shock, "So even a manor of the three legendary brothers exist?"

"Hidden from the entire world," she added as an afterthought.

"Hopefully, you would be willing to give me a complete tour of the manor," she said in genuine excitement. "Who would not want to see the such a legendary yet mysterious place."

Harry nodded in agreement.

"Now… what favour do you want from me?" Asked Amelia.

"You will know," said Harry.

"Timsy," Harry called for the Potter manor.

Timsy popped in, "Harry Potter sir."

"Bring them," said Harry. The elf gave a nod and popped away.

Few minutes later the gates of the hall were pushed open and 16 individuals walked in.

Leading them was someone whom Amelia had no problems in recognising.

"Penelope Clearwater," she said.

"And I know another few of them," said Amelia as she scanned the faces of other individuals.

16 individuals out of which 10 were girls and 6 boys covered the distance and stood not too far away from Harry and Amelia in an organised row.

"Yes, madam Bones," said Harry. "You might definitely know few of them."

"Like Miss. Clearwater, all of them are muggle born to graduate Hogwarts in the last few years."

"Like Miss. Clearwater, or we can say in somewhat better condition than her, they were subjected to discrimination in the wizarding society due to their status as 'mudblood'. Their talents in magic which is obviously better than an average wizard held no value in front of their blood status."

Harry walked towards one lady who was standing next to Penelope almost in the centre, "She is Elizabeth Avilia. Among all 16 of them she is the oldest and has reached the highest post among them."

"And what that highest post is? An accountant in a shop… after 10 years of hard work and when she does the work of two humans alone."

Harry continued, "I had recently employed Penelope and was shocked to know that muggle had formed a union of theirs after they graduated from Hogwarts. They wanted to help Miss. Clearwater but no one was in the condition to do so."

"I know all about the discrimination and second class citizen the muggle are subjected to, Lord Potter," said Amelia. "What do you want to accomplish now?"

"The people whom I trust in the magical world are very few," said Harry. "And all of them were willing to work for me with a magical oath of absolute loyalty."

"And madam Bones," said Harry. "They are very talented. For the past few days, they have been here, I have given them limited access to magical books of the houses I own."

"But they still lack experience," added Harry. "And I want you…"

"To train them," finished Madam Bones.

"I would be more than willing than to do so, Lord Potter," said Amelia.

She gazed at the 16 individuals, "But do they understand the brutality of war?"

"Do they know the lives lost in the war? Do they understood that they might have to fore go their morality in some circumstances for us to win the war? Are they willing to touch the evil path?'

It was Elizabeth who stepped forward, "Madam Bones, we know all about you. And we must be thankful for the sympathy you have shown to the muggle born in the past years."

She continued, "Having said this, I must also say that, you are as ill informed as other pure bloods about other cultures."

"We know brutality of war more than the wizarding world. We have seen world wars where millions died," said Elizabeth.

"We have seen the worst a human could have fallen. We have seen genocides in which hundred-thousands were killed simply because their thinking was somewhat different."

"What have we not seen?" Questioned Elizabeth. "We have seen a human enslaving other human, a human killing other human for enjoyment."

"But we have braved them all and a section of human fought them all and ushered us into a better society. We are by no means perfect but we are always moving," she added.

"Well, to better our condition is one obvious reason for us to agree to work for Lord Potter."

"But that hope that we can be the torch bearers of a new society for this wizarding world is another one. That we can bring a dawn after this darkness of the wizarding world is a motivation for us."

"That we can really make the wizarding world as we thought when we entered the Hogwarts is what gives us strength," said Elizabeth.

Amelia looked at Elizabeth with a shiny glint in her eyes and she had found her answers.
