Chapter 250, The Real Truth

Arata's words leave the Braves little time to react, the Fingers descend upon them by the thousands as Frajil and the Harbingers watch from a far.

"Will! Hurry to the Sidus Pontem, leave defending this place to us!" Theo shouted to him. "Go!! If anyone can stop Arata it's you guys!!"

"Go, Blades of the Scared Flower. If you go now you may just make it." Velti says before spreading his power to Monica. "Go! Before it is too late!"

William along with the other Braves fly towards the Sidus Pontem. Hoping they can reach it before it's too late.

"Tch. This brat! When I get my hands on him I'm gonna give him a good beating!!" Alistar roared as he took to the skies with Alexis.

"Not if I get my hands on him first." Andrew held his scythe and sliced the Fingers flying towards him.

-----

"Everyone's probably angry right now..." Arata stated as he stood before a large door.

"Greetings, Mortal who bears the blood of my child." A woman, with white hair and skin with golden eyes, dressed in a white robe stood before Arata.

"Hello, Lady Fatum." Arata greeted as he whipped away his tears.

"As expected, you came here by yourself." Lady Fatum sighed.

"I'm sorry, but I believe this is what the Memories are telling me." Arata answered before turning to the great door before him. "So, it's just beyond here? The Truth of the past, and the unfulfilled promise?"

"Beyond this door." Fatum smiled but stopped Arata before allowing him to go deeper.

"Why?" Arata asked.

"Before, I would have allowed you to enter but now... I believe that there is hesitation in your eyes." Fatum stated and Arata knew what she meant. "You still seek to stay with those you love?"

"With all due respect..." Arata bowed his head as tears dripped down his cheeks. "If I could..."

"But you must choose between Initium or Finis." Fatum stated. "Beyond this door, is the choice you must make. And a truth you must learn."

"I know but..." Arata could feel the pain in his heart.

"Perhaps..." Fatum smiled and opened the door. "If you can pass the threshold, if your heart shall stay true to it's wishes, if your resolve will not falter, if your will is not broken, then perhaps they shall become a miracle."

"What do you mean?" Arata asked but Fatum simply smiled and with a heavy heart and a resolute mind marched forward, towards the door.

------

"Lemianile!!" William stormed the castle where Lemianile was.

"You've returned already?" Lemianile stated bowing her head. "If you wish to stop the master you're already too late. He has already entered the Coffin of Fate."

"Tch! You knew about this, didn't you?!" Liak grabbed her.

"And even if I did?! Do you think I would be able to stop master by myself?!" She exclaimed. "I am bound by the laws of the Ancients and the Promise of Fate!! I cannot go against my vows!!"

"Where's Arata?" Zhen asked.

"Within the Coffin of Fate. I'm afraid you're too late." She answered and drops her gaze.

"I wouldn't say so." Ros stated as he appeared before the group. "Arata is at the very bottom of the castle, at the Coffin of Fate, it's off limits, even to Ancients but there's a way for you to reach him."

"How?" Ethan asked.

"The bonds you share with him." Ros stated as he flew up. "This is the Sidus Pontem, the place where all intersect. If you wish to reach him, then let the bonds be the strings that connect you to him."

------

Arata enters the threshold of the Coffin, there he finds an empty space, a night sky and a tree of light in the distance.

"Welcome, to the Tree of Origin." Fatum smiled.

"Tree of Origin?" Fatum asked.

"The place where all fates meet, where the truth is buried." She smiled. "Touch the tree, and you'll know what I mean."

Arata, with hesitant hands, touches the tree and is immediately engulfed by the golden light.

"Ahhhh!!" Arata's screams echoed loudly as the truth of the ancient war is bestowed upon him.

As Arata screams in pain, his screams echo within the night sky, eventually reaching the Braves who await him.

"Arata?!" William immediately panics when he hears Arata's screams.

"What's happening to him?!" Alexis exclaimed as Arata's screams echoed in their heads.

"Arata!! Arata!!" Leon calls his name telepathically.

"Will, what happened to Arata?!" Van exclaimed.

"I'm have no idea! That's why I think I'm going crazy!" William answered.

Arata's mind was flooded by the truth until he finally stopped screaming, releasing his hold on the tree.

"Well? Have you come to understand the truth, young one?" Fatum asked as Arata gasped, grasping the sand in his hand.

Arata tried to refocus himself as the real story of the Ancients flooded his mind.

"Felicia's mission was not just any mission. She had to save the People of the Storm, the Harbingers of Catastrophe..." I stated as I grasped the sand. "This is... The Land of Origin, what remains of the Primis Orbis."

"It's seems you've understood everything so far." Fatum stated.

"If this place falls, the Calamity will befall the worlds and lead to their destruction. The Harbingers of Catastrophe are the People of the Storm, the ones who once protected the Primis Orbis from the Great Calamity." Arata began. "Felicia's mission wasn't just to choose the fate of her world to kill her people or not, but to save the Harbingers or not."

"The Harbingers... Are also victims... They were once Ancients, and they choose to allow the worlds to continue... The war only began because no one knew the truth. The Harbingers were corrupted, tainted by the Calamity, and when they had been completely consumed by the darkness, they began attacking the world they once protected." Arata continued. "Felicia's role as a chooser, the planting of the Tree of Fate, all were to attempt to save the Harbingers, isn't that right, Lady Fatum?"

"Indeed." Fatum stated.

"And the unfulfilled promise was... The one you made with the Harbingers. That one day, one of your children would save them." I stated. "But before you could share this with your children, you died. As a result, you were unable to tell them the truth and they thought the Harbingers were just calamities when in reality they were originally heroes."

"So, what will you choose?" Fatum asked Arata. "Before you, is a choice to be made."
