2/3/23 Practice after a 4 Day Break

Today we came back from a 4-day long ice storm. It was literally raining ice, not snow. LAME. School also got canceled for 4.5 days for me due to like the ice melting and freezing again over night. I enjoyed my break, I got to play games and chill at home. It was fun.

When we got back to swimming, we did some dryland outside nothing too interesting. When we got in the water, we did our classic warm up which is diving in the water and swim to the other side and then do 10 vertical kicks then doing a backstroke start going as high up as you can go and 10 underwaters. When you got close to the flags on backstroke you have to speed up and do a fast turn and get out of the water like an athlete. Basically, get out of the water and land on two feet.

Then we worked on turns. We went to the flags and swam fast into the wall and flipped while trying to keep our legs straight till the last minute. It was fun, I enjoyed doing it. After we did a set of 3x (2x200 3:00 150 swim 50 kick fr 100 75 swim 25 kick 1:30 no fr 150 50 kick 50 no fr 50 kick on 2:40 or something i don't remember then we did the 100 from above again). It was pretty mid. But after that we were done and got to leave.
