In a deep empty void of space, there was a blue twinkle and a little star just sat in the void all alone. It kept on twinkling and it wasn't with the other stars. Out of nowhere another star which was red shone and the whole void was erased. The blue star transformed into a crystal and it was as beautiful as the morning sky while the red star was now a red crystal as hot as the deepest flames. Pearl and Ruby. The pearl moved towards the ruby and they stared at each other. Sky found it strange to have a pointless dream of floating crystals but the pearl transformed into him and he surprisingly had an aqua blue hair which reached his shoulder's length but the rest remained same. The ruby on the other hand was a girl with pink hair that was waist length. Now Sky was confused. he didn't see her face but only saw them from the side staring at each other. His features were visible unlike the strange girl. Suddenly, she spoke but sky didn't hear anything. They continued chatting and laughing but there was no sound. They stopped. Walked towards each other, faces got closer. Her lips and lower jaw were a little more exposed. They were about to kiss?! Sky wanted to get out of this realm.
His eyes shot open and stared at the ceiling like someone who had seen a ghost. Eyes widened with confusion but showed fear. Why? He blinked and got up sitting on the edge of the bed. It was 7:45. Not being in the mood to think, he got to the bathroom picked up his brush, did the necessary and started brushing. He wasn't going to let a pointless dream ruin his day. He did promise Hanabi. Under 15 minutes, he was on his way. Arrived after 5 minutes. He stood in front of the school and stared. Eventually walking into the school and then the halls. Thinking of the pink-haired girl suddenly sparked excitement in him and he began to smile (a feint one though).
"Yo"
He didn't need to look to recognize the owner of that obnoxious voice.
"What do you want"
Sky said still looking forward.
"I got bothered you may catch a cold since you went under the rain without an umbrella and wouldn't come today"
Sky rolled his eyes.
"But when I heard Hanabi went with you, I was relieved and excited"
'Went with you'? 'relieved and excited'? he found no sense in his friends words.
"So there are rumours" Sky said unbothered
He expected them anyways
"Yup" Damien said in his mixed personalities voice.
Now they had arrived at class and Sky saw Hanabi chatting with her friends. 'She was probably answering questions' Sky thought passing and sitting on his seat.
The teacher walked in and suddenly anxiety struck him. He felt suddenly nervous and started sweating on his palms. He was restless.
"Good morning class". The teacher began. "I'd like to introduce you to a new student who'll be attending this class".
Now the class was silent.
"Roxanne". The teacher called out.
The door opened and someone walked in. At this point, Sky wasn't looking and was just trying to calm himself down burying his face in his palm.
"Hi everyone, I'm tots looking forward to being your friend".
Now the class was coldly silent.
Sky heard the voice but was too busy restraining the force about to break out from himself. He had shut his eyes and silently °brought his palms together and intertwined his fingers resting his forehead on his thumb° prayerfully.
While everyone just stared at the human being in front of them.
"Where are my manners?" she asked rhetorically.
Bringing her knuckles together, she bowed her head.
"My name is Roxanne Spark. I'm honored to be presented among all of you".
The silence proceeded. Sky barely aware of his surroundings was in a very short trance. The silence was killing. Out of desperation and confusion, Roxanne lifted her head to see the expressions on their faces when she just got focused on one person.
'Is he praying?' she thought to herself. Still in her position, her head slightly lifted and staring at a boy that had cut cords with all senses.
"Roxanne, you may proceed to your seat" the teacher said motioning to the direction of a seat on the second-to-the-last row.
Something snapped and Sky shot his eyes open. All he remembered was fighting his beast that wanted to jump out of his flesh and it felt like he was drowning in a sea. He didn't remember anything. A trance!? He lifted his head and his eyes widened in shock. A girl walking towards him. The owner of the beautiful voice he heard earlier. The girl in his dreams. The pink-haired girl. She walked past him and sat on a seat beside him. Sky found himself staring but quickly averted his gaze when she was about to look. Now she staring at him. Nervousness set in. He was about to kiss this girl in his dream? He was still fighting his beast for the whole day. Something about her triggered him. She had that long waist-length pink ponytail, sleek shoulders, pointed nose and beautiful lips.
The school closed and Sky was glad to get out of the class. She had become popular and all the guys were drooling for her, all girls want to talk to her, teachers loved her. The only person she hadn't talked to was him and he wanted to run to his home before she could. He walked speedily through the hall.
"Sky!... right?"
Oh no! No! Sky turned back and stared at her. She started walking towards him.
"Nice to meet you" she said showing her charming smile
Now he could see how she got everyone's love, appreciation and attention.
He turned and continued walking down the halls.
"Okay" he shrugged as he said it
She ran up to him and held his hand causing him to stop walking.
"I see you're a tough one, huh?" she said jokingly.
"So you intend to charm everyone with a smile and few words" he said unbothered
"Nope, I just hoped I will have friends and surprisingly everyone's nice"
"Yah right" Sky said under his breath.
"Hey" She said quietly. "We should go out sometime. Maybe in the weekends?" She said with her cheeks completely flushed and she was shyly looking away.
'She is cute' he thought. Never had he seen a girl blush because of him and he became excited but right now everyone in the hallway was watching and Sky was sure the guys are going to pulverize him after this. The memory of his dream flashed through his head and he just stared at her. He never wanted something like that but he knew fully well accepting her request may eventually lead to that.
He sighed. Then he looked at her one more time to find in her eyes, curiousity, anxiety and... something else.
Hi readers! I know this chapter is pretty bad but that's because I created this chapter a year back and (obviously) I'm a lot better in content creation. By the way, I didn't improve this chapter because I'm currently working on a more important story that's a lot longer (And I'm in chapter 3!) But thanks for reading it till the end. Wish me luck ;)
