Chapter 6: The Woods Men

The old man said it would be hard to get her to New Jersey, and so he needed time. As the old man went to the back of the shop to work things out. Jason and I walked out of the shop to give the old man some time.

"So what are you going to do Autumn? What's your plan" Jason asked stopping in the middle of the sidewalk.

Autumn stopped to think for a moment "Well I remember one of my sisters being in New Jersey and that's why we're going there. Her real name is Spring. But I don't know the name she has on earth. She's actually the earth element. But that's all I really know."

Jason started walking, Autumn walked behind him.

Suddenly there were five men that had surrounded them. Autumn stood in front of Jason so no one would take him but it was to late. One of the men had already had Jason in his bear hands.

"Let him go!" Autumn shouted as she tried to grab Jason. But the man behind her already grabbed her by the hand and trapped her so she couldn't move. One of the men stood in front of her as he was much taller than her.

"We know about your special power. And in order to get your friend back in peace. You will have to follow three tests and challenges. Understand that you do not have much time to find our hideout. So you better get looking, the clock is ticking fast."

In the blind of an eye the men were gonna leaving behind a clock that was slowly ticking. But when she looked around she didn't see Jason.

She had to think fast because every time that clock ticked made less time to save Jason. She looked in the back of the clock to see if they left any clues for her. On the back of the clock it said "The Woods Men". That title had felt familiar to her. She felt like that title meant something. And she know were she had to go.

She started to run and knew that the wind was right beside her running and making her fast every second. Minutes later she arrived at Jason's father's house.

She walked up the steps and opened the door. As she came inside she saw that everything was on the floor. She went to the front of the basement door. In the blink of an eye she saw Jason's father standing right in front of her with the same bloody gloves he had on when she was there last time. When she shook her head she saw that he was gonna. She felt butterflies in her stomach. She didn't want to go down in the basement alone. She was afraid to see what Jason's father had been planning in the basement. But she was also worried for Jason.

She looked at the clock. She had no time to think about what to do. She had no choice but to go. She opened the basement door and turned on the light. She walked inside and cracked the door. Autumn slowly walked down the stairs and saw that the walls were a dark red color. She told herself it was just paint. But she was to scared to find out what it really was. When Autumn got down the stairs she saw four dead bodies hanging on the wall and saw that they were all chained up.

Autumn had covered her eyes trying not to cry. As she uncovered her eyes and saw a door. The door was the only thing not covered in blood. She walked up to the door passing all the dead bodies that she didn't think to look at twice. She opened the door covering her eyes. As she let go of the door handle and removed her hand over her eyes. Autumn saw a big room. She slowly walked in wondering if it was a big trap. She closed the door and walked closer to the middle of the floor. Minutes later as she looked around the room Autumn had heard a voice.

"Congregations! Autumn, you finally found our hideout and reached to your last test. And the last test is bravery. What are you willing to do to get your precious friend back in peace? If you fail this test, you and your friend will never see the light of day. You better hope your dear mother was right about you being strong, because we're hoping to see that strength today. I'm sure seeing those dead bodies freaked you out.You were so afraid to see the bodies that you covered your eyes. And I can tell that your afraid right now. So let's see where that fear will lead you."

Autumn felt her heart beat inside her chest. She had forgotten that she was being tested. All she felt was so much fear inside that she had no idea they were watching her. As she looked down in disappointment, she saw that she still had the necklace the old man gave her. She put the necklace around her neck and suddenly all of her fear washed away. For once she actually felt strong and brave. She didn't know she could feel that way.

She felt all the strength go through her veins. It was like all her fear and worry disappeared.

Autumn felt big footsteps coming her way. Then she heard a voice all around the room.

"Ok! Autumn, your last test is coming your way. This is going to be a great and interesting show. But remember if you fail this test, two lives will be lost. Your friends life, and your own. I would say good luck. But I don't want to kill the mood"

Autumn smiled. "I don't need luck." She thought to herself.

Autumn remembered that it was windy outside and that there are air vents all around here that might just lead to outside.

Autumn felt the steps getting stronger and the floor started to vibrate. As she tried not to fall, the beast had busted through the walls filled with anger.

She knew that this secret group had probably captured him and made him angry. Autumn didn't want to attack this poor beast. This creature was enslaved here, and now she had a plan to get him out without anyone being harmed.

She started to run super fast and commanded the wind to follow her plan. She closed her eyes and kept running. As soon as she stopped to open her eyes she saw a big hole in the roof, but the beast that was once controlled was gonna. She smiled, proud of herself.

"What the hell! What just happened?! What happened to my roof and the beast?! Wow Autumn, you are definitely gifted with special power, and you showed true bravery and strength." A voice shouted.

Autumn was filled with anger. All she had came here for was Jason.

"Give me back Jason! I am sick and tired of all these stupid tests! Just give me Jason and we'll be on our way!!" Autumn yelled looking around to see if she can find a way out.

"I told you. To get your little friend back, you have to do your end of your mother's deal. You have to join the Woods Men." The voice said.

"Why would I join the Woods Men?! You've done nothing good so far. And I'm not being apart of an evil secret group!" Autumn yelled

"Then I guess you don't mind if your friend dies because your scared of an evil group." the voice said laughing afterwords.

She really had no choice. She knew she was never going to get out of there. Even if she ran, they would kill her before she even got to run or even hide, not that there was any place to really hide. She couldn't run. So she had to fight back.

Autumn went to the door and started to feel the walls to see if there was a secret button or something.

She then felt a button that suddenly popped out of nowhere. She understood how she couldn't see it. The button was fully covered in silver and so were the walls. Autumn pushed the button and a door next to the silver button opened, leaving a long path way.

"Last time to turn back." Autumn said to herself. But as she fully stepped in the door, it quickly closed. Now there was nowhere else to go. Now she had no choice but to walk the path.
