Crazy Pumpkin Head Part 1

Western Battlefield, Near the City Gate.

The war had gone on for 5 hours, and the damage of war kept spreading throughout the battlefield, countless craters of various sizes littered in the vast grasslands, scorched and scars of claws and cracks bathing the strong walls of the city.

The Army was struggling to face the level 6 Ambist, on the other hand, the Hunters only watched the scene with a relaxed posture while giving support.

On the long-range combatant's side, on the wall, all the mages and archers stopped their assault because of exhaustion, while the Hunter Soldiers kept showering bullets with their 15 mm machine guns with an effective range of 100 miles.

The hunter soldiers were shooting down the enemy reinforcement hundreds of miles away, because of this, in the eyes of the Mages and Archers who couldn't see hundreds of miles away, the Hunter Soldiers in front of them were blind.

In a certain part of the chaotic battlefield.

A man with black hair and blue eyes, sporting a red cloak and a red bandanna on his forehead, was facing three level 6 Fire Keeper Ambist at the same time.

The three Fire Keeper Ambists have the same appearance, a rugged black hooded cloak that hides all their features, their faces are shrouded with darkness, and their red eyes glow, they have four arms, the two arms holding a red lamp in a praying position while the two arms were free.

John who was facing the three Ambist, flashed a smirk at the three Ambist in front of him.

Seeing this smirk, the Ambist lost their composure and roared, at the insolent human in front of them. John fought the three Ambists for a few minutes before he got bored and Just easily killed the three with a simple slash of his sword.

John, one of the warriors assigned to protect the city gate, was ordered by a superior to fill up some gaps in the front line, which John accepted without hesitation, even though he felt the person's disdain towards him.

Because of this order, John left his assigned position and started to help the front lines hold the formation.

"Sh*t they're breaking through," shouted one of the tankers.

The tankers of each faction of the army assembled a shield wall formation that encircled the city gate area.

With a roar one of the Fire Keeper Ambist charged forward swings its arm with a powerful force.

The Fire Keeper Ambist swings its arm at the line of tankers.

The tankers managed to block the attack however some of them were thrown back 50 meters away from the line.

"This is bad!" screamed the weak-hearted tanker 1.

"Damb, hold your ground, hold your ground," Tanker 2 which has a leader-like attitude continuously barks commands.

Tanker 3 who is Tanker 2 friend shouted, "Shut up Captain Obvious!"

"F*Ck you, I heard that Refeth!" Tanker 2 shouted back while blocking one of the rocks thrown at him by the Fire Keeper Ambist.

"Yeah F*Ck you too, Ho Gua!" Tanker 3 shouted back.

The two started to argue while fighting the Fire Keeper Ambist, but even so, the two never received any injuries from the Fire Keeper Ambist. On the other hand, Tanker 1 just watches his two temporary companions dumbfounded.

Tanks 2 and 3 block each of the Fire Keeper Ambist attacks With difficulty, but their smirks never fade, they fought for over a minute before the other noticed them.

The clash between the three tanks and one Fire Keeper Ambist started to draw attention.

The other Fire Keeper Ambist saw one of their allies successfully breach the Shield Wall Formation that their enemy employed. With a roar of excitement, the Fire Keeper Ambist flocks to the breach wall formation.

Tanks nearby the clash saw this, they frantically shouted and relayed the messages, until reached the main command.

In no time, the main command responded, and thousands of knights riding armored and muscular horses while holding long spears went out the city gates charging toward the breach shield wall formation.

"Cavalry is here," shouted one of the tanks to the trio who was fighting the Fire Keeper Ambist.

Naturally, the trio heard this, however, they knew that the cavalry wouldn't make it in time after all hundreds of Fire Keeper Ambists were already right in their faces.

"Hehe, look like I'll be joining the collateral damage group," Tank 3 remarked with a fearless smile, this man already faced death multiple times, making him numb to death.

However, it is a different story to the others.

"Haha, that's funny," Tank 2 said with a deadpan expression.

"Old guy, that's too much dark humor," Tank 1

While the three were exchanging some comments while readying their final defense.

On the opposite side, a hundred meters away from them, 100 Fire Keeper Ambist opened their mouths and gathered red mana balls in their mouths, the mana balls emitted powerful Mana enough to destroy a whole country.

"Tsk, can we block this?" Tank 1 asks anxiously.

"Yeah, a Thousand level 4 tanks is enough," Tank 2 responds.

"Hate to say it, but, we are just three here!" Tank 1 exclaimed angrily but before he could continue he noticed something, "What the F*Ck, where did this thousand people come from?"

"They just teleported earlier!" Tank 2 shouted back to answer.

"How?" Tank 1 retorts dumbly.

"Wow Magic, what else friking moron!!!" Tank 3 made an exaggerated posture at the former and shouted in annoyance at the latter.

While this conversation was happening the Fire Keeper Ambist attack was at the final stage and ready to launch.

The mana ball in the Fire Keeper Ambist's mouth exploded shooting a concentrated laser beam into the enemies in front.

The laser beam travels at the speed of light reaching thousands of Tankers instantly, hitting the magic-enhanced shield on their hands.

With greeted teeth, the thousands of tankers resisted the attack and managed to block it, however, their strengths and mana were depleted, making them enter mind zero.

"This horrendous creature, I didn't expect that they would find the weak spot of the formation, why did the Captain assign all the level 3 and 4 tanks at this line," Tank 2 says while falling to the ground.

"I hoped those water guns could kill them," Tank 3 said while gasping for air face-first on the ground.

"What water guns? aren't those children's toys of the young Hunters?" Tank 1 said while his broken shield lying beside him.

Hearing his words, Tank 2 and 3 vomited blood from their mouths.

Witnessing their enemies fall along with their allies, the Fire Keeper Ambists did not waste any time and went for the kill.

However, they were blocked by a salvo of magic and arrows coming from the walls.

The Fire Keeper Ambist who looks like their leader frowns and looks on top of the walls landing his sight on the rugged Mages who were exhausted from their spell-casting while the archer drew their bows even though their hands were bleeding.

The Fire Keeper Ambist leader growls and gathers mana to attack, however, the Fire Keeper Ambist feels a tremendous aura of suppression coming from fallen thousand Tankers.

By the way, even though the Ambist breached the Shield Wall formation of the tankers, no Ambist managed to enter behind their lines yet, so no one left their formation and kept maintaining their defense while the long-range combatant slowly dwindled the enemy's number, which is why the tankers still fought back in a losing battle. Also, this weaker side of the formation is already covered so there is no problem in falling.

The moment the thousand tankers fall, thousands of cavalry appear in the distance, emitting a dangerous aura in their wake.

The hundred Fire Keeper Ambist saw this and roared at them.

The two sides released a war cry charging toward each other, while the fallen tankers suddenly disappeared and teleported away from the battlefield by one of the Captains of the knights.

On John's side.

John was watching the clash between the Cavalry and the Fire Keeper Ambist with calmness, while he was sitting at a small pumpkin farm where he managed to spot when he was heading here to give support.

That's the plan, but he decided to watch and wait for a moment when the cavalry arrived.

The situation of the clash was not bad, the cavalry constantly took down the Fire Keeper Ambist here and there, while the Cavalry did not receive any casualties only injuries thanks to the hidden sniper of the Hunters that no one managed to notice, even the level 6-7 individuals participating this war didn't notice them at all.

During this time, John was observing and comparing the power system and power levels between the alternate Universe of Danmachi that he was in vs the fictional world of the anime series Danmachi back on Earth.

John watched the clash for a while before deciding to join in the battle, but before that, John's sight landed on a large head-size pumpkin.

The moment he saw the pumpkin, an idea popped up in his head.

With a smirk, he plucked the pumpkin and made some modifications to create something from the pumpkin.
