Hayate flipped a page and began to read again, leaving Chu Yueli speechless on the side.

Chu Yueli stared at Hayate with a dumbfounded look because he blatantly forgave her.

Even a child would have known Chu Yueli's situation was too good to be true. There is no way she could get away this easily.

Chu Yueli hasn't met any contact with Hayate in the past year, except for one or two letters they exchanged through Xia Qingyue. Since no one of them was close, she couldn't judge his character easily.

'I admitted that he is different.' She thought to herself.

Even though Chu Yueli is not as beautiful as her older sister, she still possesses pride in her appearance, but what's this?

Hayate drank a fruit smoothie made by Hong Guan for him and put on a thoughtful expression because the content of this martial art book intrigued him.

"Hmm, not bad." He commented casually.

Chu Yueli tried to open her mouth because Hayate ignored her, but nothing came out. She could only clench her fist in frustration for some reason.

Hayate finished six martial arts books and slowly rested his head on the seat. "That was good..." He yawned while tilting his gaze a little.

"Eh?"

"Why are you still here, Senior Yueli?" He was shocked by her cold expression.

He obviously faked his reaction because Chu Yueli's presence is like an air conditioner for him. She made the atmosphere around them more chill and enjoyable for reading books.

"I won't..." Chu Yueli muttered silently.

"I couldn't accept your forgiveness this easily."

"Why?" Hayate returned with a weird expression.

Chu Yueli sighed and responded, "I attacked you in the past because of a misunderstanding."

"I acknowledged that it was my fault because Qingyue's injuries clouded my mind."

"However, just sending medicine for your recovery and agreeing with one of your wishes in the future wasn't enough to atone for my mistake."

"I thought about it for hours now." Chu Yueli glared at Hayate, who ignored her. "I'll let you attack me with your most powerful technique.

She stood firmly on the ground and added, "I won't defend myself, I won't move, and you can attack me so that we could be equal."

Hayate frowned and covered his mouth gradually because Chu Yueli's plan wasn't that bad for him. He could measure her physical strength roughly for their future duel.

"You won't accept no from me, huh." He commented, to which Chu Yueli responded with a nod.

"I'll even lower my cultivation to the same level as yours." Chu Yueli declared naturally, making Hayate more interested in her bizarre thoughts.

Hong Guan, who heard their conversation, smiled and approached them quickly.

"Then, I'll prepare the training ground!" She declared without even asking for Hayate's permission.

Hayate shook his head and saw Hong Guan run away from him at lightning speed, leaving a speck of dust.

He sighed and said, "Since you say so, I'll agree."

Chu Yueli nodded her head and peacefully followed Hayate to the training ground. They walked onto the stage and stood in front of each other.

Hong Guan gradually activated the defensive formation she bought in case the destruction they caused when training was too excessive to handle. Yet, she rarely uses it because Hayate and her only utilize pure martial arts.

"You can go all out, young master." She playfully grinned while giving him a thumb up.

"Senior Yueli, I won't hold back." Hayate released his 7th stage of Earth Profound Realm cultivation.

Chu Yueli's eyes widened in awe because she didn't expect Hayate to have such high cultivation for his age.

He hadn't used any profound energy in front of her to conceal his cultivation realm, catching her off guard.

"Are you surprised?" He smiled at Chu Yueli.

"We still have one year in our promised duel, and I know why you are so confident now." Chu Yueli replied solemnly.

It was a shock for Chu Yueli because Hayate's at the lower stage of Spirit Profound Realm last year, but he reached the 8th stage of Earth Profound Ream now.

"Your growth is indeed monstrous."

"I've never seen a genius like you, except Qingyue."

"Thanks for the compliment." Hayate humbly replied while warming his body.

He stretched his body and used [Hercules] Chimera Kaiju core, which caused his black hair to grow with a deep golden shine like a lion. His entire body broadened slightly, but nothing changed significantly besides his eyes.

Chu Yueli noticed Hayate's eyes turned entirely crimson-gold color and released an intense majestic yet wild aura. A sense of higher being seemed to overwhelm the entire training ground.

[Hercules], A Grade Chimera Kaiju, was created in the past by synthesizing over 1000 wild animal cores.

This core was Hayate's first masterpiece because he kept fusing it with another Kaiju every time he killed a beast, causing the [Hercules]'s strength to stockpile greatly.

It declined in strength because of Hayate's idiotic behavior to explode his body with all Kaiju cores in the past but surprisingly survived within his inner world.

Hayate upgraded [Hercules] with many profound beast cores when he reincarnated to this world, so it probably became more mighty than the past version.

Chu Yueli instinctively raised her arms to resist Hayate's presence, which caused her to frown inside.

Chu Yueli lowered her arms and was ready to accept Hayate's attack wholeheartedly. She blinked and realized he had arrived in front of her.

"Fist." He sent a heavy punch to her face.

Chu Yueli's face received a powerful smack that caused her to faint instantly, sending her body like a ragdoll to the defensive formation barrier.

The defensive formation got destroyed by sheer force, and Chu Yueli's body flew farther away, destroying half of the garden.

Hayate's silhouette chased over Chu Yueli's body and stopped her from getting damaged even further.

He embraced her from behind and commented, "Well, [Hercules] performed better than I expected."

Chu Yueli's condition is a mess, and her face definitely needs a lot of care because of Hayate's blow.

Hong Guan stared at the defensive formation with a shocked look because her young master was able to destroy the barrier. Even she had a hard time cracking it open.

Hayate had never tested [Hercules] with his current strength and was surprised by the result.

He presumably just increased his strength more than five-folds, which happened because of synergy between [Mystic Art of Body Cultivation] and [Hercules] core, but he wasn't aware of this.

"Hong Guan, prepare a room." Hayate deactivated [Hercules] core and lifted Chu Yueli's body.

"A-Ah, yes!" Hong Guan snapped out of her thoughts.

She quickly prepared a room in the villa and waited for Hayate to place Chu Yueli's body.

Hayate entered the room and gently placed Chu Yueli on the bed, making Hong Guan stare at the famous fairy's face in pity.

"What a shame, that beautiful face will need a lot of time to recover." She chuckled a little.

Hayate sighed and commented, "I'll try my best to heal her."

--- A month later ---

In a nursing room, Chu Yueli stared at the window with a face full of bandages.

Chu Yueli woke up from a long coma a few days ago because Hayate's attack caused her to fall into a deep slumber.

Xia Qingyue sat calmly on a seat near Chu Yueli and said, "Teacher..."

"Big Brother doesn't mean to injure you like this."

"It's not his fault." Chu Yueli nodded calmly. "It was my fault for being stubborn."

She sighed and added, "I didn't expect him to exert strength over my limit."

"Not to mention, I'm being too arrogant and saying I'll receive his attack without defending myself."

"Now I'm the one who's on the bed."

Hayate explained what happened to Xia Qingyue between him and her teacher a month ago, and she was shocked by this sudden casualty.

"I-Is that so..." Chu Yueli breathed out to calm herself.

Xia Qingyue smiled and brought a mirror to Chu Yueli, who began to unwrap her bandage.

As Chu Yueli finished, Xia Qingyue's eyes widened in amazement.

"T-This is my face..." Chu Yueli's voice trembled slightly.

Hayate experimented with thousands of rare herbs to make a medicine pill or tonic to increase his cultivation speed.

He had been cultivating without any external help for three years, which has slowed down quite a bit.

"My teacher wants to meet you."

He walked toward Xia Qinyue and continued, "Let's go."

"No need." Chu Yueli suddenly entered the room.

Hayate moved his gaze and was caught off guard by her new look, which was more beautiful than the former.

Since Hayate wasn't well versed in Face Anatomy, he had to experiment on Chu Yueli's face with the help of [Titleless Medical Book] to heal her.

However, the result was better than he expected.

Chu Yueli was formerly a beauty already, but after a face reconstruction session with Hayate, she turned into an immaculate beauty with creamy smooth skin and a noble look.

There is still a trace of her former appearances, but it was overwhelmed with her new look.
