Chapter 7

(Ben POV)

When I woke up I could feel sand around me. Opening my eyes I saw an atlas standing over me. I got up but felt way taller than normal. I looked down at my hands to see claws made of metal. I looked at my feet to also see claws of metal. I tried to get out of my Jaeger but I couldn't feel my body like I had been fused with the jaeger. I heard atlas say "Are you okay blitz" I looked back up at them and felt angry.

It was like an instinctive feeling. It was just telling me 'attack' 'eat' 'attack eat' 'ATTACK EAT'.

I started running towards them. I jumped on atlas leg and started ripping off parts of it. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I heard Atlas yell. I didn't care though and kept ripping at it. I started running up it and made it to the head Just when I was about to punch through atlas's head Boy came out. I was about to attack him but stopped.

Something was telling me to be friendly but I still was overwhelmed with the instinct to attack and eat. I lunged towards him when he turned. In Front of me he turned into a blue kaiju and started attacking me. I had never fought before and was mainly using instinct.

When he threw a punch I'd throw a kick. He lunges, I dodge. It was like a game of cat and mouse. He lunged at me and I moved but he bit onto my arm. It felt like getting melted by acid, but I kept going.Eventually he kicked me towards the bone spur that I killed. I ran into the bone spur and started eating. I couldn't control myself. After I had eaten an entire leg I stopped and didn't have the urge to attack them anymore.

Now that I had control of myself I looked towards atlas and Boy. Who had turned back. Atlas had moved way farther while holding Boy. I looked towards atlas's head and stared.

I didn't know what to do. I've become part kaiju. Jaeger? I'm not even sure. I knew I couldn't stay. I wanted to start leaving when I heard Boy. Turning around I saw something I overlooked.

Boy was a kaiju. Was I like him? I mean I was already pretty emotionless like Boy but I don't think I was ever in a test tube. At Least I don't remember that. Thinking about it I also don't really remember anything before the age of ten.

'But I know I was there' I knew I remember multiple kaiju attacks right? I couldn't notice it but I was almost ripping the ground with my clawed feet now. I looked down at my hands seeing their metallic nature.

'No I'm not a kaiju… I-i- kanjis aren't metal.' But neither are humans so what am I. By now my entire body was tensing up. I must have looked like I was going to attack again because Atlas and Boy now turned human and we're backing away.

My instinct to attack was starting to come back but I forced it down. It felt easy to do but then a surge hit me. "RRRRIEIEIIeieiIeichhh" I fell down screeching an inhuman sound. I was being bombarded with mental commands. It was like being hit on your head but it's mental.

Constantly being punched and kicked in the brain but you can't defend it. I felt like I wanted to die of pain. I hunched over my claws digging deep into the surrounding ground.

Another inhuman screech sounded out of my now metalic maw. My vision started to fade and I did the safest thing I could think of at that moment. I used my claws and tried to make a hole deep enough for me to hide in.

If fainted or even worse, passed out I wanted to atleast have some sort of defense. Within seconds I hade created hole deep enough for me to laid down in before covering most of my body in dirt. Leaving only my mouth and nostrils uncovered.

During this entire time my vision was progressively getting darker and darker. Until it was black.
