CATCH FLURRY BATS!

THUD!

Knagslot opened his eyes to behold complete darkness. He struggled to stand up, his body weak and head throbbing. He heard the groans and weak cries of the other people, he guessed they were feeling the same as him.

"Where's the damn light!", cried one of them.

Suddenly, they all heard the the snap of a finger and the swift movements of legs.

FLICK!

A massive bulb lighted the place, hanging in the middle of a big place that felt like an hall. With bated breaths, tess stood up and her neck swirled around in search of knagslot which she eventually saw, trying to stand up.

"Hey!", she called. " You okay?".

Knagslot stood upright, shaking his hands sideways as if trying to shake off a thought or something.

"Where are we?", knagslot asked. " I thought yilong said we're going to the grim raven's street?".

The top hat goblin sprung up from nowhere, and with a loud, irritating voice, it said:

"Welcome to the passage to the grim raven's world, or should I say: ANOTHER ROUND OF A NIGHTMARE FOR CLOWNS!".

The clowns ( that is the contestants) were beyond confused.

"You guys keep confusing me", voiced knagslot. "Another round?, I thought we were…".

He was interrupted by loud voices, shouting around him.

" No…, no- No!", cried knagslot, his brain exploding into frustration. " Another -".

The goblin waved it's hand up. "You clowns participating in A Nightmare for clowns all have a system right?". Without waiting for a response, the goblin briskly continued, speaking almost gibberishly. "Yes you do!. You have the K O system, now you must win a pass, the pass is worth twenty points, and that'll will be the only way you'll get out of here. Lose and you'll be sent back where you came from to start over from the beginning!".

"So how do we win the pass?", roll simmons asked. He was actually male.

"Good question!", the bat said in an eccentric manner. "You must catch flurry bats, golden cuties, each are worth five points".

The goblin snapped his fingers again and tall violet trees surrounded them, in circles, another circle of trees forming again in front of them till it reached the middle. It was like a circle of trees in a circle.

"Now!", cried the top hat goblin. "You must catch flurry bats!".

A swarm of flurry bats flew delicately around them, some hanging on the trees while others simply going up, down, right, left and even centre like blind things.

The goblin in top hat came again."Once you catch a bat, it will disappear and your point will appear above your head, till you reach twenty points then the wind will lift you up and take you through that shut door", the goblin said as it pointed to his right where a little door was, almost hidden by the corner. If one didn't look twice, they would have thought nothing was there.

A whistle blasted throughout the place and footfalls trampled hardly on the ground, trying to catch the flurry bats. Roll Simmons caught two and they busted into shiny golden ashes.

[ 10POINTS], hung in the air above his head.

Knagslot almost felt jealous, hell!, that was way too easy. Tess managed to catch one and -

[ 5 POINTS], appeared on over her head.

Soon kall sunn and yulo phen had both gotten [10 POINTS ]. Knagslot was alarmed and appalled, he had nothing. He needed to move on, he couldn't go back to that dark, scary and alley place. Suddenly tess had caught two flurry bats which exploded into golden ashes. [FIFTEEN POINTS] now hung over her head. Instantly, roll Simmons caught another one.

[ 15 POINTS] appeared, hanging in the air over his head. Soon yulo phen and kall sunn had gotten one point each making them [ 15 points]. It remained HIM!, it remained KNAGSLOT!, it remained DOT KORRETO to catch even a single bat. He jumped up severally, trying desperately to catch a bat, leaping and heaving and falling and running - his mind tore into pieces.

'How did it come to this', he thought, no single bat at ALL!. Tess saw how frustrated he was and walked up to him.

"Seems you're having a bad day", she said sympathetically.

Knagslot made no noise, he kept jumping up desperately, trying to find a flurry bat among the swarm and convoy of flurry bats.

"Just go slow and real steady and I'm sure you'll get one", tess went on.

"I hope so", said knagslot as he kept running like a wag after the flurry bats.

A loud explosion - not so loud but a sort of gentle - loud explosion, disrupted them. Tess and knagslot threw their hands backwards to see roll simmons and kall sunn flying in the sky, [ 20 POINTS] boldly hanging above their heads. They were flown into the door which opened rapidly and when they were in, shut rapidly again.

Knagslot and tess started to go after more flurry bats. Yulo phen suddenly caught a bat and was in the skies, [ 20 POINTS] boldly written above her head. She flew into the door which shut and closed rapidly. Knagslot suddenly saw this catch flurry bats thing as bogus, this wasn't for him, he wasn't going to catch any bat.

The last straw for knagslot was when tess caught her final bat, which made her go through the routine which the others had been going.

[ 20 POINTS], MITTEN AVAR GOES THROUGH!, hung over tess head. Flying towards the door, she waved at knagslot and said:

"I'm waiting for you at the other side!".

Knagslot was devastated, he watched her go away slowly, yet moving very briskly he couldn't think of a reply so he only waved, his hand shaking with the effort. The door opened rapidly and she flew in, closing rapidly behind her as she was in.

Knagslot fell to his knees, holding his face with his hands. He almost sobbed but s

he didn't. The crowd now jeered at him and mocked him, giving him the infamous BOOOO!. He pulled his face up and stared into the crowd. He wasn't their hero now. He was now a FAILURE.
