CHAPTER I: Elira
*In school*
*Third period*
"Hey you at the back, GET UP!!" The class teacher shouts with anger.
"Someone tap him and ask him to stand up right now."
A boy hits John with force "Bro get the f*ck up! the teachers' calling."
"You guys should leave me already." John says already irritated by the slap.
"Where's Jordan? Is he in school?" The teacher asks the class.
"No, not yet." someone replies the teacher.
"Oh there, he's here sir."
"Speak of the devil." Davina murmurs looking at Jordan.
Jordan walks into the classroom, greets the class and sits down.
"Get out now! Look at the time you're coming to my class! GET OUT!" the teacher says to Jordan.
"Babe just go okay. I'll catch you after this period." Davina whispers to him.
"Sure." Jordan says and swaggers out of class.
"Just imagine! Is this the kind of attitude you all want to take on?" The teacher shouts.
Jordan walks along the school hallway and enters the restroom, thinking to himself "I really can't wait to get out of this place for real. It's always one annoying person or the other."
He sees Gaz, a student from another class. Passing Jordan a cigarette he says "Hey bro. Care for a smoke?"
"Sure. I'm kinda free now so... why not?" Jordan takes the cigarette and has a drag.
"Got something on your mind?" Gaz says.
"Yeah.. Umm nothing really, I'm just kinda tired and stressed.. same as always." Jordan replies.
"Okay.. it's cool if you don't wanna tell me. Just don't do anything stupid." Gaz says and prepares to leave.
"By the way, Elira was asking about you. You should go see her later. I'm out of here." Gaz says and walks out of the restroom leaving Jordan alone in thought.
"Elira? Who is she again?" Jordan says to himself.

*Back in Class*
"Umm Davina..? What's up with Jordan these days? He's been looking kinda down. Is he okay?" Michelle asks.
"Why're you asking me? How should I know?" Davina asks Michelle in annoyance.
"Aren't you guys close? Sorry I asked." Michelle says sarcastically and switches seats in annoyance.
"What were you both discussing there?" the teacher asks looking towards Davina and Michelle.
"I really can't understand how you all behave in this class. Always talking or doing something else when you're supposed to be listening."
"Sorry sir." Davina and Michelle both reply at the same time.
Looking viciously at each other.
"Both of you, leave my class now." The teacher says with a slightly irritated tone.
*The bell rings for end of period*
"Ha!" Davina laughs looking at the teacher.
"Alright everyone! We'll continue this lesson next class. Also, there may or may not be a test, so those of you who thought you were wise and escaped today's class, be prepared." The teacher says and walks out of the class

Jordan still out of class, strolls along the school grounds, lost in thought.
A girl walks towards him "Hey handsome." She says looking at Jordan with starry eyes.
"Umm.. Hey. Who are you?" Jordan asks and looks at her in a slightly indifferent manner.
"You don't remember me? For real Jordan?" She says with a low tone.
"Sorry, I really can't recall who you are? But I think I've seen you maybe..." Jordan says trying to sound apologetic.
"Maybe?!" The girl shouts with a high pitch.
"Sorry." Jordan says with a self-depreciating smile.
"Urghh.." The girl grunts and looks at Jordan with annoyance before leaving.
"Oh well..." Jordan says and walks back to class.

*In class*
"Hey babe, are you okay?" Davina says walking towards Jordan and looking at him with a comforting gaze.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Jordan says and tries to shrug her off.
Davina hugs Jordan from behind, causing him to stop his movements "Wait.." She whispers.
"What?" Jordan says with a cold tone.
"Talk to me. You know I'm here for you right?" She says still hugging Jordan.
"Yes.. Sorry.. I was just.. I'm just really tired." Jordan replies.
"Babe, you can talk to me okay? I love you." Davina says before kissing Jordan on the cheek drawing everyone's attention.
"Thank you." Jordan responds.
"Hey you guys should give it a break! We know you're dating, no need to make it so obvious." John shouts.
"Shut up already John!" Davina says glaring at John.
Davina grips Jordan's arm and leads him towards an empty seat next to hers.
"By the way, who's Elira?" Jordan asks Davina.
