Julian "How can I be of help?"
He asks Lily as they both sit down for the talk.
Lily "Do you know about Cipher?"
She asks.
Julian "I know them. I have been dealing with them for quite a while now."
Hearing him Lily is quite surprised. From what she knows, Cipher has always kept inside the Orre region and operated from here. It is very recently that they tried to spread their influence in other regions.
Lily "That's great, then I don't have to explain everything,"
She says.
Lily "Then do you know about shadow pokemons?"
She asks.
Julian nods.
Julian "It is one of the reasons I am here to meet Professor Krane. Professor Oak told me that he could be of some help regarding the shadow Pokemon problem,"
Julian says.
Lily nods her head.
Lily "Professor Krane is not just an exceptional Pokemon researcher but also the leading expert regarding the study of shadow pokemons,"
Lily "Do you know what happened in Orre five years ago?"
She asks, and Julian nods his head.
Lily "Five years ago when the shadow pokemon pandemic overran the Orre region, Professor Krane stepped up and tried to help these shadow pokemons and cure them, but he failed.
The damage done to these poor pokemons was more severe than one expected.
But Professor Krane didn't give up. He spent five years of his life searching for a way to reverse the shadowfication of a Pokemon.
People thought that his obsession to cure a condition that took place five years ago was stupid, but Professor Krane didn't stop. He knew that it was not over until he finds a way to reverse a shadow Pokemon's shadowfication.
Professor Krane knew that shadow pokemons would be back because people are always power hungry and this time he wanted to be ready for it.
And his prediction turned out to be right. The shadow pokemons did come back as Cipher resurfaced,"
Julian raised his eyebrows upon hearing this. He didn't care if Cipher resurfaced or not. His intention of meeting Professor Krane was to find a way to cure shadow pokemons.
Julian "You are telling me that Professor Krane found a way to cure shadow pokemons?"
Julian asked. It was the only part of the story he cared about.
Lily shakes her head in denial.
Lily "No, but he is very close. This very morning he came running to me, yelling that he figured it out, but before he could even tell me, Cipher happened,"
Julian "So you want me to find Professor Krane and bring him back?"
Julian asks.
Lily nods her head.
Lily "Professor Krane is the only hope we have if we want to tackle this Cipher and Shadow Pokemon situation before it gets out of hand and completely engulfs the Orre region like in the past,"
Julian is not satisfied with the current situation. He knows that the shadow Pokemon epidemic was solved five years ago, so why aren't Professor Krane and Lily using the same method? What is she hiding?
Julian "Five years ago, someone cured the shadow Pokemon. How did they do it?"
Julian asks as he stares seriously into Lily's eyes.
He had made his people investigate how the shadow epidemic was solved and who solved it but he got nothing. The locals had no idea as to what happened and the ones who seemed to know something pretended to know nothing as well. It was as if they wanted to take their secret to their grave.
Seeing his fierce eyes, Lily breaks eye contact. Even she doesn't know how the shadow Pokemon epidemic was solved five years ago.
One day everyone woke up and found all shadow pokemons cured.
Lily "I don't know. Nobody knows,"
She says.
Julian "Someone has to know."
He says.
Lily "Right now, your best bet is to find Professor Krane because only he can answer most of your questions,"
She says.
Julian is not happy with her answer, but he can't blame her. She does seem clueless.
Julian "Fine, I will start with Professor Krane. Do you have any idea as to where the Cipher could have taken him?"
Julian asks.
Lily "I personally have no idea as to where they took Professor Krane, but I know someone who can guide you on the right path,"
She says.
As she is about to reveal the name of this person, the door of the room opens and two kids run in.
One is a teenager with spiky orange hair, and the other is a little girl with blue hair.
"Mommy, Mommy," The little girl cries and runs into Lily's bosoms. While the teenage boy stands next to her with a worried look on his face.
Lily "I am fine Jovi. Mommy's fine,"
She says comforting her daughter.
Jovi "I heard that bad guys came and took away Professor Krane. Is he going to be ok?"
She asks.
Lily "Don't worry sweety, this person right here is going to bring back Professor Krane safe and sound,"
Lily says pointing at Julian.
Jovi turns to look at Julian and then looks back at Lily.
Jovi "Who is he?"
She asks.
Lily "This here is Mr. Julian, he is a very strong Pokemon trainer. He has promised to bring back Professor Krane,"
Lily says.
Michael the teenage son, after breathing a sigh of relief knowing that nothing has happened to his mother, finally gets the chance to look at the person sitting next to her.
And as his mother introduces Julian to them, his eyes go wide. Michael could never mistake that face with anyone else.
Michael "You are the Julian!"
