The very first battle between Julian and Ramos got quite intense, of course, Ramos got the edge over Julian at the beginning of the battle and he was caught off guard, Julian was not just prepared for that, but he did overcome the disadvantage he was put in.
Though his Clauncher survived barely, it was still a win.
Things could have been much better if he had seen that coming, he would have ended the battler faster and in a more efficient way.
Ramos didn't say anything and just looked at his fallen Jumpluff and smiled, he sent it back to its Pokeball to rest and sent out his next choice.
Julian knew Ramos's next pokemon as Ramos never changed his ways, he kept it the same with every trainer he faced against.
The next pokemon to enter the battlefield to battle for Ramos is Weepinbell.
Julian looked at his Clauncher and knew he will not be able to continue anymore, he sent Clauncher back to his Pokeball to rest, he then sent out his Honedge into the battlefield.
Unlike Julian's other pokemon, his Honedge is a prodigy, he catches onto Julian's teaching so easily as if he already has done this before, this just made it so easy for Julian to train Honedge, and with Gengar teaching him all about ghost energy and aura, Honedge is improving at a very rapid pace.
Julian even decided to bring back his Metagross to help Honedge understand his steel-type energy better.
Ramos looked at Julian's Honedge and was surprised, he could tell if a pokemon is exceptional when he sees one and he could tell Honedge is one of those, with how long he has been training pokemons, it always surprised him when he sees pokemons like these as they are so rare.
Pokemons like these are not born every year.
Ramos "That's a nice pokemon you got there"
He said.
Julian "I just got lucky catching one"
Julian answered.
Ramos "Now let's see how you have trained it"
He said and went for the attack without waiting for a second, Weepinbell shot two Vine Whips shooting at Honedge with full speed, this attack was just to see what Honedge can do, Ramos knows that it won't be able to deal any damage on Honedge.
Julian "Use Fury Cutter"
Honedge unsheathed his blade and started to spin like a propeller, the edge of his blade glowed dirty green in color and as he started to spin faster, it looked like a spinning wheel of death.
As the Vine Whip got closer, they hit the fast-spinning blade and were chopped off like butter, Weepinbell quickly retracted the Vine Whips, being cut was not a problem at all because those things will regrow in a few hours.
Ramos realized that things are going to be a lot harder to take down Honedge.
Julian "Use Aerial Ace"
This time Julian moved first, with such high attack power Honedge possesses, it would be stupid not to go for the attack even though he does have a better physical defense.
Honedge rose high up in the air and dove at Weepinbell at full speed, Honedge suddenly disappeared in a blur and reappeared right in front of Weepinbell catching it by surprise, Weepinbell wanted to use its veins to block the attack but it couldn't stop it at all.
Honedge landed his hit and sent Weepinbell flying through the air.
Julian "Now finish it, Night Slash"
As Weepinbell was still in the air, Honedge's blade glowed dark and he rushed towards Weepinbell, hilt first.
Ramos "Use Energy Ball"
Ramos called out. As Weepinbell is still in the air, it created a ball of grass energy and sent it at Honedge but Honedge was already very close to it, Honedge then turned his blade very fast swinging the Night Slash at the Energy Ball.
The edge of Honedge's blade was so sharp that as soon as it came in contact with the Energy Ball, it split the attack into two, once they split, the two balls hit the ground and the Night Slash landed on Weepinbell sending it crashing on the ground.
Duse rose high and when it settled down, Weepinbell could be seen out cold right in the middle of the battlefield.
Referee "Weepinbell is unable to battle, Honedge wins"
The referee called the result.
In this round Honedge won with ease, with his high attack stat, Weepinbell couldn't take those powerful hits.
Ramos didn't mind the loss at all, he just smiled and sent his Weepinbell back to its Pokeball and without making Julian wait, he sent out his last pokemon into the battlefield.
A big Gogoat entered the battlefield and looked at Honedge with its big red eyes.
Honedge doesn't show any sign of being intimidated as well, though the opponent seems to be bigger and stronger, he is not worried, his typing gives him the advantage he needs.
With both of them ready to battle, there was nothing stopping them, both Julian and Ramos made their move.
