Undead Skeletal Fiend

Every beat of his heart sent streams of green liquid surging through his veins like lemon juice being sucked through a transparent straw.

The white rodents were the first to sense the new development; their furs abruptly stood on end, as a sense of foreboding washed over them like a torrential waterfall.

They managed to turn their necks which were now stiff from terror and looked behind. Upon seeing the result of their deep feeling of unease, the duo hurriedly scrambled into the midst of their comrades.

---

Squeak! Squeak!

They commanded out of pure fear as the other rodents swarmed over and enclosed them in a protective circle with their berserk mode once again activated.

"That's the second time you guys have done that; that one handy ability you have there."

Though Ji Min's voice was prominent, it overlapped with Sensei's voice which carried an amused tone.

"But tragically for you both, it still can't stop what you've got coming."

This time, Sensei's overlapping tone was flat, seething, and without any form of emotion.

The sheer amount of killing intent that was seeping out of Ji Min's body was almost palpable and it seemed to be stifling the rodents who hurriedly riled themselves up in defiance.

The rodents turned up their level of bloodthirst to another notch as they all abandoned Ji Qing and swarmed toward Ji Min with rekindled ferocity.

'Perfect; I now have a perfect understanding of his bloodline ability. Furthermore, I now have total control of this Undead Skeletal Fiend and its 3-Star Lord Stage base combat-prowess.'

Sensei muttered to himself as he did a quick mental scan of Ji Min's entire body, assessing his current combat prowess and potential limits.

'I have always thought the pain Young Lord suffered during his tranquil poison training far outweighed the benefit he obtained from it; but now, with this new ability, not only has the scale been evened, but also seems to have tipped in his favor.'

Sensei continued as he saw a couple of rodents dart toward him in utter recklessness and no shred of awareness.

[Young Lord, allow me to test the limits of this Undead Skeletal Fiend on your behalf.]

Sensei knew he wouldn't get any form of response, but asking for Ji Min's permission gave him some sort of reassurance that he could do whatever he pleased during Ji Min's current absence, and it really made him excited.

"It's been a while since I last exercised my mind or use some nice techniques. So, to thank you two for this opportunity, I'll keep you both and have you serve my Young Lord." Sensei added as he gazed at the white rodents hiding behind their comrades.

Sensei then secured the chains around his arms, before flicking his fingers with an expectant expression, and just as he expected, several sharp 3-inch-long, deep-green claws tore through the tip of Ji Min's finger.

"There they are!"

Sensei said excitedly as the claws which appeared to be drenched in tranquil poison began to drip some drops of tranquil poison to the ground.

The moment some of these poisons dripped off Ji Min's finger, they landed on some leaves, creating different reactions of varying nature.

Some of the leaves saw their colors change to pink with a deep purple spiral pattern appearing on them.

Some other leaves got petrified and broke off their branches, fell to the ground, and then crumbled to dust.

Some melted off their branches and others shriveled up; but all in all, they all displayed some varying properties of the venoms that made up the tranquil poisoning.

Witnessing all of this phenomenon happen, Sensei subconsciously revealed a wide smile that contradictorily appeared fiendish to the two white rodents.

"Now, what did young lord call that movement technique again? Oh right, Chaotic Steps!"

At the mention of the technique's name, Sensei suddenly vanished from sight, leaving the rodents frozen in shock.

Swoosh!

Sensei then abruptly appears in front of an unsuspecting rodent.

But because it was his first time executing the technique in person, Sensei was forced to take a second to adjust himself to the erratic nature of the erratic pattern of the technique's movement.

That split-second lack of concentration was all the unsuspecting rodent needed to recover, as it sent a vicious claw strike towards Sensei who casually responded in kind.

Slash! Spurt!

Contrary to the resistance Sensei was expecting to feel from the clash, the entire limb of the rodent was instead sent flying, petrifying mid-air before crumbling into several pieces of debris the moment it landed on the stony terrain.

The spot where the rodent's arm had detached on the other hand began to sizzle like the rodent had acid for blood.

Squeak! Squeak!! Squeak!!!

This rodent squeaked in horror as the tranquil poison sizzled its way into its veins, attacking every single blood cell in its path, converting them into poisonous blood cells, and then killing the rodent from within, in the most agonizing way possible.

The white rodents fearfully trembled at the sight of the proceedings, and when they heard their comrade's miserable screech and saw his plagued appearance, they subconsciously took a step back.

The short experience they had just witnessed contradicted their general knowledge profoundly since rodents were known to be immune to pain once they were in a berserk state.

Then before their mind could even register and interpret this new contradiction, Sensei had already appeared in front of another rodent which he grabbed by the head.

Sensei squeezed the rodent's skull causing it to squeak and thrash about in pain; ignoring its futile struggles, Sensei simply squeezed tighter, allowing his fingers to dig into its skull, pumping the rodent's little brain full of tranquil poison.

All of a sudden, the rodent's body tensed up and froze momentarily, before it then relaxed after a few more seconds, prompting Sensei to drop it to the floor.

This rodent surprisingly landed on its feet and stood in front of Sensei like a guard dog, unmoving, as if waiting for any form of approaching movement which it could then translate as a threat and thereafter deal with.

The white rodents looked toward their comrade and realized that its eyes were now pinkish, with several purple lines that spiraled their way to the center of its eyes.

Then they saw Sensei casually point at them, and instantly, this stand-by rodent suddenly squeaked with an unprecedented bloodthirst that almost bordered on bloodlust.

Whoosh!

It vanished from its position with a level of speed that made him appear somewhat blurry to the white rodents; it was almost like it was on steroids; a condition Sensei believed was induced by the tranquil poison.

The rodent appeared in front of the group encircling the white rodents, and immediately went bonkers, slashing and gnawing at anything in proximity, and just like that, an intense all-out carnage broke out between a poison-boosted rodent and its ex-comrades.
