Beast Within Beauty

After getting away from the park instead of going back to his home, Jayden decided to go to the lake to catch some fresh air, whenever he'd get upset, he'd go to that lake, it always made him feel fresher, besides he didn't want to get his mom worried, the only person he ever cared about and loved unconditionally.

He was feeling weird tingling under his feet, he took off his boots and hung them on his two fingers, and started walking barefoot, he thought it would make him feel better but on his way, he felt his head getting heavier and his body hurting so bad like it usually happens in fever, he avoided and kept walking

As he looked up at the sky his eyes fell on the beautiful moon, it seemed bigger and brighter than ever, he kept walking until he reached the lake, now it was almost ten feet away, Jayden's head started spinning heavily and he fell on his knees.

He held his head with both of his hands, and a loud whistle started blowing his eardrums off, he opened his eyes but everything was shaking and getting blurred out, he looked up at the moon again and he was seeing everything doubled.

He was in so much pain that he couldn't bear it and finally ended up falling and fainting on the ground.

Next, he had a dream, he opened his eyes and found himself on a pile of flesh, he heard something grunting

He looked around but there was no one, he stepped back and noticed the flesh he was standing on was Felix's dead body and he was lying in the same position as he was when he died, only his flesh was ripped apart, and scattered around his body.

Jayden jumped back and woke up, it was early in the morning he was lying on the ground, he still had a headache but it wasn't as severe as before, as soon as he caught his senses he noticed his clothes were ripped off, but he wasn't fully naked, he had some clothes on.

He helped himself get up from the ground and as soon as he got to the bathroom and turned his face toward the mirror he was almost startled to death when he saw his mouth covered with blood, the area under his chin was also soaked up in blood.

His mouth was hurting, he opened his mouth and saw two pointy teeth in front of his canines, his jaws were hurting, then he noticed his hair, they were brown now, dark brown.

He was panicking and his muscles were aching, he remembered how his mom used to tell him to take deep breaths to calm himself so he inhaled from his nose gently and exhaled from his mouth, and that worked, but his eyes glowed green, he couldn't believe what he just saw, he quickly splashed a handful of water on his face and felt the slightest tingling in his gums, he opened his mouth and realized his teeth were completely normal.

"What happened to me?" Jayden was scared, he was nervous and had so many questions, but he was sure about one thing, he did something bad, it wasn't just about killing Felix, but also he did something else, something nasty, but what was it? He didn't know either.

He cleaned himself, there was blood on his torn clothes, and he had no time to wash them if he'd reach the school late people would suspect something, so he shoved his clothes in the plastic bag in the trashcan, he freshened up and decided to hit the road but before that, he chewed on some mint candies to make his mouth less smelly.

His mom prepared breakfast for him but he refused to eat anything, she didn't suspect anything because this is how he used to do often "Nice hair color!" She complimented him.

He faked his smile and left.

He was thinking about what happened all the way, he didn't even notice how fast he reached school, he knew he can't escape what he did so he was expecting to see the police any time now, and just as he thought there was police all around the school, turns out they found Felix's body with the lower half of his body missing, and most of his body was chewed off by an animal, police was not there to inspect, it was there to prepare for student's security.

According to a man he saw a tall wild bear running around, and this was not surprising at all, there were woods in the distance and they were off-limits, people reported seeing multiple wild animals while camping in these areas, mostly those who came from the city, it was a small town after all more like a village.

When this news came out Benjamin's happiness was beyond limits, like every other day all four of them gathered in the canteen "God sent help for us" He exclaimed with joy.

"Keep it down jerk!" Ivy whispered.

They were calm at least they were not going to get caught on what they did.

But Jayden knew what he saw wasn't just a dream, especially after watching his clothes soaked in blood.

His friends tried to freshen up his mood, they made silly jokes and tried talking about anything they could so maybe he could forget about what happened, but nothing was helping them change his mood.

They had no idea that it wasn't only Jayden's mood that changed, it was his heart, that night Felix's death changed his heart, he was now a guy who was desperately waiting for his punishment.

His gang knew there was only one thing that could cheer him up, and that was a party, a bonfire.

In the evening they gathered near the woods, they had drinks, loudspeakers, and everything that's required to have a perfect bonfire.

Before this bonfire, there were multiple events when Ivy and Jayden made out because of being drunk, even when they were not in a relationship but since the past few weeks, Benjamin was trying to impress her.

So on the slow beat Benjamin and Ivy were dancing and over drunk, when Jayden noticed a girl smiling at him, she was with her friends, and her eyes were stuck on Jayden.

Just as the gang thought it was mood changing for him, he smiled and got to her, they both started dancing slowly, she said something which he couldn't hear, so he got his ear close to her "I love this song" She spoke a little louder this time.

Jayden smiled they kept talking for an hour, drinking more made him feel a little better, he totally forgot what happened yesterday until someone jump in from behind the trees, and a girl stumbled down in fear.

It was Benjamin wearing a bear mask, the girl was badly scared, she was shaking even if he removed his mask.

"Hey, what's your problem?" Jayden yelled getting closer to Benjamin.

He pulled off the bear mask and held it in his hand "I am Felix! Roar! Oh no, this bear is eating me" He laughed.

"I said shut your mouth!" It made Jayden remember what happened, he couldn't hold back his anger anymore he held him with his throat pushing him to the tree, his hand was crushing his throat, and he couldn't even hear his friends calling out to him.

He was about to faint when he left him realizing what he was doing to him, "What the hell is wrong with you?" Ivy yelled and pushed him away.

Jayden looked at everyone once, knowing how they were staring at him, the girl who was talking to Jayden earlier was now stepping farther and farther away, so without answering anyone Jayden picked up his jacket and left the party.

Jayden was scared of the person he was becoming, when he was holding Benjamin's neck, all he wanted to do was to crush his neck and rip his meat off his bones so he could feel how Felix felt, he was mesmerized by Benjamin's eyes turning red, and him gasping for air.

He hated the fact that he liked doing that to Benjamin.
