I nodded and followed her to the nearby garden. The sun shone above us as birds chirped in the trees. "Of course, I'll join you. Thank you, Madame Anna."
"It is nice to have met you, Jannah." She bowed politely to me as she walked ahead with her hands clutched together.
I nodded and followed her to the garden. As we sat down at one of the tables there, I noticed that General Colton talking with Alice, one of the remaining vampire candidates. I frowned as I hoped that they weren't in a relationship when he was together with Leanna. I knew that I have to find out what was going on as soon as my tea time with Madame Anna was up.
"So tell me, Jannah. How does your former owner, Mary treats you?" Madame Anna asked me as she sips her tea.
"Mary is a kind woman. She is fair and loves me dearly." I replied, staring at my hands that were clasped tightly together. I knew that I couldn't say otherwise when it would only spell disaster for me, well, until I became Queen anyway.
