chapter 11: It Went To Far

(Tom) Morning ladies, you ready for breakfast? (Ashley) Sure are let's eat. (mom) Morning girls. (Amiee) Morning mom. (Tom) So ladies we were thinking, your mom and I would like to have a day to our self's. How does that sound? (Amiee) Great because I was telling Ashley we could use a break from you guys to. (Tom) Then its settled after we eat we go our separate ways. (Amiee) Well that was easy now we got the whole day. (Ashley) Well actually Amiee, I was wondering if you'll be ok if I had some time by myself for a couple of hours? We all spent more time together than I'm use to lately. (Amiee) Well ok meet up round one then? (Ashley) Sounds good. ring ring (Amiee) Hey Katie I got you on 3 way with Bryan. (Katie) Hey what's up? Well the plan was to split with Ash around 5pm, but parents decided they wanted a day to themselves. (Bryan) So now you have the day together? (Amiee) Not exactly, Ash wanted to go alone for 2hrs. Said we been spending too much time than shes use to together. (Katie) Well this is Ashley we're talking about, do you think shes up to something? (Amiee) I don't know what do you guys think? (Katie) I say follow her she what shes really up to. It maybe nothing or she may be up to something. (Amiee) Gotcha, well goodbye and I'll text ya when I find out. (Katie) Alright bye girl. (Bryan) Bye love. (Amiee) Bye. Alright time to follow Ash and see what shes up to. Finally there she is, whose she with? No way Taylor, what's he doing here? (texting) You guys aren't going to believe this, but her boyfriend here. I wonder how long hes been here? (Bryan) You don't supose she stuffed him in her suitcase, like I asked you to do for me do you? (Amiee) Haha you're so funny. But still if Tom and mom knew they wouldn't be to happy about this. Well it's about 12:30 I'm meeting Ashley back at the hotel by one, so I'll head back and see if she shows. (Katie) Alright keep us updated girl. (Amiee) Will do.

Ah, I was wondering if you were gonna make it or not. (Ashley) Why wouldn't I? I said one right? (Amiee) Well yes but you know us teens lose track of time so easily. (Ashley) That's why I set an alarm. (Amiee) Oh, well ok. So what you do for the past couple of hrs? (Ashley) I decided to do some shopping, get my nails done. (Amiee) Didn't we do alot of that already? (Ashley) You can never have enough of any of that. (Amiee) Well this is true. Alright so you have lunch yet? (Ashley) Not yet. (Amiee) So I figured we'd do lunch, go to the museum we haven't hit yet, then a movie, then hit the beach. How does that sound? (Ashley) Sounds like alot, but I'm down. (Amiee) Good grab your swimsuit and a change of clothes and I'll call a taxi. One lunch, museum, and movie later. It was 6pm and we were making our way to the beach. I was so nervous, this was the biggest prank I ever pulled and the last one I ever wanted to at that. That's why it had to be the ultimate prank. (Ashley) Ok all changed, let's hit the beach! (Amiee) Sounds great. At 6:30 I got a text from an unknown number letting me know everything was in motion. Hey Ash last week I saw this spot that wasn't crowded on the beach and more relaxing. Wanna go check it out? (Ashley) Sure let's go! (Amiee) We found the spot and started heading toward the water. I decided to take her picture before she got in and her cluelessness. We started swimming and I bet her that she couldn't beat me to the boat dingy bobbing in the water about 50 feet in. (Ashley) You're on. (Amiee) So we swam, I had stopped 30 feet in, so i wouldn't get close to where the prank was set up at. (Ashley) Ahhhh! Shark! Ahhhhhh! HELP ME!!!! (Amiee) That's right it was a plastic shark, covered in a wet suit to look real and scare the living day outta her. I started to swim closer to say gotcha, but when I was 10 feet from her I saw something I didn't expect. It was blood and two fingers floating. But where was the rest of her? Where was my sister? Ashley was swimming and was drugged off by a huge shark. It was supposed to be plastic! Where was the plastic one that was supose to be here!?! I panicked and swam for shore and started screaming for help. People started panicking, the police came running over. I showed them the fingers I believed to be my sisters. They got search boats out, hoping to find something before the sun went down. Being summer they still had a little light left for the next hr atleast. 2hrs later they came back with nothing. By that time Tom and mom had been by myside the last hour and half, sick to their stomachs with worry. Durning the search I had explained everything to them about the ultimate prank and how it wasn't supose to happen. They wanted the name and number of the guy that helped set this up. But I had no idea I had the number I texted, but no one answered and I didn't know his name either. We called Bryan and he said he found him online under (The Guy). But no real name and he came recommend. But as for texting from an unknown number he didn't understand why he'd do that. So we were getting no where and my sister was gone. (officer) I'm sorry but we're going to need to take you downtown for questioning. Its procedure, you were the last one to see your sister alive. (Amiee) I understand. (mom) We'll meet you there, don't worry. (Amiee) Worried, well I wasn't til they still couldn't get ahold of that guy yet and they placed me under arrest because they didn't believe me! I didn't plan this, I don't know where my sister is! i don't know where that shark came from! (officer) Miss we rechecked everything, theres a barrier set up to where no sharks or anything can come in. We sent a team down there for the past day and a half. Theres no shark to be found, no hole in the barrier, not even your sister. (Amiee) That doesn't make sense! (officer) It does if you hired someone to take her out and depose of the body. (Amiee) I would never! We had our differences, but we loved one another. This has got to be one of her pranks! But how would she have know about mine? (officer) I'm sorry Miss Amiee Rivers you are under arrest for the murder of Ashley Rivers. (Amiee) I can't believe this is happening, I didn't do nothing! (mom) Don't worry we called your dad he's getting his best lawyer on it, we'll figure it out! (Amiee) A week later they found the guy helping me, with the fake shark and why he wasn't getting back to us. He had had a heart attack. They found him on the other side of the barriers buried, the phone was there with the text in them. But only the text from me saying about 7pm the night this happened. Which didn't help me out at all. So Tom and mom decided to fly back home and search Ashley's room for clues in hopes that this really was a prank she was pulling. When they found nothing, they searched my room. They found something alright just in time for the police to show up with a search warrant because they got the call from Florida. They didn't get the chance to read it til after the officer there had first.

Well time to get even with Ashley, shes always in the way. Not only will this be prank

the prank of the year, I'll be the only one

(officer) Well I think this is proof she did it, don't you think? (mom) That can't be true, Amiee would never write this! (Tom) Well is this Ashley's writing? (mom) No and it isn't Aimee's either! It can't be!

(Amiee) Well here I am, a year later sitting in prison for a crime I know I didn't do. But the letter they found couldn't be explained. Of course they didn't believe me, my sister never turned up to say gotcha she really was gone. I hardly get to see anybody these days. Bryan and Katie write me alot and see me when they can, they know I didn't do it. They said Taylors missing to and they ran into his parents and were told they talk on the phone but haven't seen him in a year now. I'm trying to keep my spirits up, but I don't know how long I can keep this up. Theres just gotta be an explanation to what really happened that night. Miss Rivers you got a visitor.
