Maria sighed and grimaced as she walked onto the front porch and shut the door behind her quietly.
"What do you want Jerald?" Maria asked.
"Oh my, how cold of you. I can't stop by for a visit?" Jerald retorted with a grin on his lips.
"No, you can't and-"
Maria paused and furrowed her eyebrow at Jerald.
"How do you know where I live?" Maria gaped at him.
Jerald slid his hands into the pockets and chuckle softly.
"That's not important right now. What you should be asking is, why am I here?"
Maria folded her arms and stared at him pensively. He was grinning at her cunningly, so it was hard to tell if he was being serious or he was just joking around with her. He did look like the type of person to play small tricks.
"If you have nothing better to say, then I'm going back in. I don't have time to entertain your games right now."
Maria placed her hand on the door knob and swung the door open slowly.
"Fred Tyler."
