Phone Conversation

Liam left home after the conversation he had with his wife. he felt really guilty and ashame to see her face again after what his father did for the innocent girl.

he search through his contacts for his father's name to call. he picked up immediately

" Yes son?" he asked chuckling a little, knowing why he called him. Don knew that Liam's wife will tell him, he's not surprised at his call

" Who is your son? Do we look alike? you're a bastard and an heartless man. I can never be your son." Liam replied angrily at Don. why would he call him his son.

" Liam, you have never made me proud. There's an open opportunity for you to join my gang but you refused. for what? you don't want to be like me?" he said taking a deep breath of anger.

" that's right dad, I don't want to be like you. you are despicable and wicked." Liam said bluntly not caring if his words is hurting his father since he is too wicked to realize other's pain.

" But Liam you can be different from me. you can make a stand to be different." He said calmly

" Yes and that's what I'm doing Dad. I don't want to be like you. I want to be different and I can't be different in your gang." he said calmly too trying hard to understand his father and his wicked actions.

" So that's why I wanted your wife to get involved. that way my name will not tarnish." He asked still calm

" But you shouldn't force your will on someone like you did to her and her family or have you seen her family now as your prey or meat to kill always? Dad they are humans just like you and not animals that you can kill anyhow. God created all together so why should you toy with their lives like this." Liam shouted getting even more angry at his silence

" Well she was proving stubborn and I needed to show her whose in charge." Don replied smiling a little

" You're a despicable and disgusting" Liam screamed at him for his foolishness

" You are a disgrace and useless" Don said and hang up. he screamed out his wife's name.

She replied quick " Yes Honey?"

" I never knew you can't handle your own child. See the way he's talking to me like his mate. I'm going to make him pay for his words" He said as stood up from his chair

" Don, Liam is your son and he takes after your stubbornness that's why the two of you can't be in a place without fighting." She slowly commented

" Does that give him the right to talk to me like that? is he stupid? I am his father." He said to his wife

" Don I will advise you to be calm with your son. maybe just maybe he would come round" she spoke calmly as she hug him to calm his nerves down. Don reluctantly hug his wife back as he roll his eyes

Angela in her room panting around feeling so worried. her husband hasn't been at home since two days ago after the conversation she had with him.

several thoughts began to enter her mind. "is he okay? he hasn't call for once. does he even have my number? where is he? has he eaten at all? I hope his not overworking himself? did I hurt him with my words? I really didn't mean to hurt him." she continue panting around the room muttering in her mind. she left the room to the kitchen to see Packy

" Packy have you seen my husband? he hasn't come home since two days ago" She asked

" No dear, he's fine I think. he has never behave like this before so I'm also worried." Packy said studying Angela expression

" Ohh!! thank you Packy" She said as he pick up her phone and dial Maya number

" Maya, how are you? " Angela asked calmly

" I'm fine Honey. how are you doing too" She replied

" I'm trying to be fine. pls is Liam in the office?" She asked feeling more scared at her answer

" Yes dear. I noticed he hasn't leave the office for a while, always working so I thought he might have discussed it with you. is everything the matter?" she asked

" Not really we just had a little disagreement" she replied

" Anyways, he will come around or better still try to call him too then he will know how concern you are" She said to her smiling a little at the phone

" I don't have his number, would you pls send me his number. I know is embarrassing" She said shyly

" No dear, never be embarrassed to ask about your husband or his number okay?" She assured her

" Thank you Maya. how about the vanilla ice cream?" She asked her. she remembered she made Some for him last week and so she was expecting Maya to ask for more except he hate it

" Ohhh honey!!! the vanilla remains one. would you do more for him?" She replied as Angela take a deep breath feeling so happy within her

" He loves it ? and you didn't tell him I made it for him?" she asked curiously that he would drink something without asking for the maker

" Well you know your husband, he tried asking for the person's name but I refused to tell him always changing topics everytime it comes up but right now, it remains one and thanks to you for reminding me. he would have suspected " She muttering loudly

" Thank you Maya, I will do more and send it tomorrow morning." I said and hang up. feeling more relief as she sat down calmly hold her chest with her hands a little. she suddenly began to feel butterflies inside her stomach. She felt so calm as she recall how she met him coincidentally. she was lost in thought for a few minutes before she heard a sound like a received message. she checked and saw her Liam's number. she dial it on her phone and call nervously. He picked up the second try.

" Hello!!!!!" Liam said feel so tired after a long day. Angela stayed quiet for a while trying to process everything. she felt so calm and relief to hear his voice. Her stomach was having butterflies as she heard his voice again

" Hello? is someone on the line?" He asked feeling more frustrated as the person stayed quiet.

" I will cut this call now if the person refuses to talk. I don't have for this" He replied angrily as he raise his voice a little feeling so angry for picking the call

Angela was pull out of her daydream by his voice.

" Liam!!!!! it's me Angela " She finally said calmly. she missed him so much that it shocked her somehow cuz they had no regular relationship like that so why would she miss him this much and felt happy for just hearing his voice.

Liam in his office was stunned and confused when he heard the caller's name. His wife? his mind felt blurry and woozy like someone has hit the back of his head with a brick. Angela called him

" Angela? How did you get my number?" he asked shocked at her voice. he stared at the phone when he heard her laugh. it sounds good

" Should that be the first question you ask your wife? no how are you?" She said laughing loud as she believed her husband will never change.

" I'm sorry Angela. how are you? How is everything at home? what happened and why are you calling me? is everything okay? did my father do anything?" he muttered feeling worried at her call. he pray everything is fine cuz he hate fighting with his father but her response shocked him to the score.

" Nothing Liam. It's been like two days since I set my eyes on you so I'm practically worried about you and even though it will sound weird but I missed you. I missed you a lot Liam" she said feeling more relief and smile happily

Liam was shocking, his heart beat so fast at her words. he missed Her too but didn't know how she feels despite what his father has done for her. he was surprised at her confident.

" Angela I'm fine, don't worry. thank you for checking up on me" He said and hang up leaving Angela in confusion. Angela was a little disappointed at his response but she wasn't expecting him to tell her anything but she hoped he would say something sweet to her . she gently fall on the couch in the living room and slept.
