Dim light pooled through the windows of the shop, rain could be heard hitting the roof tiles of the shop, same as you could hear soft thunder rake the sky.

Miss Ming was sweeping the shop as she was listening to the news of the events that took place the day before.

Venith opened her eyes, hearing the sound of rain, she sat up with a small groan and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, she looked over to the carpeted floor to see Zeek asleep with his back turned to her. She looked to the other side of her to see an old-looking brown dresser and a digital clock on top reading 11:30 am. Venith flung the comfy covers off of her and headed for her small closet. Opening the sturdy wooden door of the closet, she started looking through the clothes hanging on the wooden closet rod.

She finally came to an outfit she liked, a purple shirt with three small black buttons coming up the middle. She takes out plain black baggy pants and her shiny leather black ankle boots.

She took her things to the bathroom to change, shutting the bathroom door behind her, Zeek starts to stir from his sleep, waking up to the dimness of the room still able to see through it was so dim, he looked over towards the bed to see if his friend was still with him. He didn't see her leaning off the bed like she was the night before. So he sat up looking for Venith still not seeing her around the small room. Hearing rustling from the bathroom, he let out a breath of relief, a breath he didn't seem to notice he was holding.

He stood up and yawned inaudibly and stretch his limbs, hearing satisfying pops and cracks from his joints. Venith came out of the door of the bathroom with different clothes on than yesterday. She looked over to see Zeek rubbing his eyes, "Morning Zeek, sleep well?" He nodded his head, seeing she was already dressed, he walked over to her closet and put on his socks and shoes.

"Come on, I think Miss Ming is cooking something, and we still got some things to do today." They both headed to the wall and removed the wallboard existing out the secret room, Zeek closing it behind him. "On now, Venith Moon spotted in the streets of New York City again and with her, an unidentified male. Both suspects were in a police chase in the middle of the downtown area and both seeming to disappear into thin air, riding a blue and black motorcycle. Hold on folks I'm getting a description. " The two hearing this walked towards the kitchen area of the shop where Miss Ming was cooking honey and cinnamon pancakes.

"Morning, Miss Ming." Zeek and Venith said in unison, Ming not moving from her spot and still making pancakes smiles, and turns her head towards the direction of where she heard the teens. "Good morning children, how are you this fine day," Ming said, flipping the last pancake and putting the rest on the plate. "I'm great I had a good sleep, slept like a baby," Venith said going towards the fridge to take out some fruits for the pancakes. "And how about you Zeek, did you sleep well?" He nodded his head, then remembered she couldn't see him, "Yea, I had a great sleep your home is very cozy thank you for letting me stay the night." he said nervously while rubbing the back of his neck. "No problem, always nice to have new company." Venith reached up and grabbed three pastel yellow glass plates from the cabinet and laid them out on the counter in front of Miss Ming.

Ming hears this, and starts feeling for the position of each plate, and carefully started sitting the pancakes on each plate. After doing that she moved out the way to get some forks for them to eat with as she did that Venith put different types of fruit separately on each plate. Ming walked over with forks putting them on the plates and handing them to the teens. They all headed for the small table under a big window in the corner of the kitchen and started eating their food in comfortable silence, hearing nothing but the news and the rain hitting the window.

The newswoman on the television wearing a green pea coat and dress pants, while holding an umbrella and mic put her hand up to her ear price getting more information from her station. "Hold on, folks I'm getting a description of the two from the station. For the unknown suspect be on the lookout for a 5'7 brown-skinned male who seems to be in their late teens, maybe 16-18 years old with long brown braided hair with side cuts, amber eyes, with a built frame.

As for any who forgot, here's a description of Venith Moon last as she was seen, 5'2 brown-skinned, is 16, Mid-length curly black hair, with a pair shaped frame, she has one purple and one gray eye if caught and turned in the catcher will be rewarded four million dollars."

After that announcement, the news changed to the weather forecast giving out the weather conditions and predictions for the week.

There were different fruits on each plate, the first holding sliced pineapple, the second holding strawberries, and the third holding grapes. It was a small game that Miss Ming and Venith like to play. Miss Ming had to taste the fruit and say which kinda fruit it was; It was fun and kept her senses sharp. "Hmm... It's pineapples, isn't it?" Ming, directed the question to Venith wondering if she got the correct answer. "Correct today's fruit for you were pineapples." Once everyone finished up their food Venith grabbed the plates and put them in the sink to do later. "Miss Ming, I'm gonna be gone for most of the day do you need me to run any errands or do anything for you today?"

Ming shuffled over to the countertop, starting the machine boil for the tea, "I don't need anything but you two should make sure to wear your jackets and some mask, don't want you catching a cold Venith." She said as she started pre-heating her handmade pastries. Zeek raised his brow in confusion looking at Venith in worry.

°Did you tell her who you were? ° he said, moving his hands around signing to her in sign language. Venith sighed and started signing back, °, Of course, I told her, I'm not gonna lie to old blind women that would be right, plus she wouldn't tell on me so you don't have to worry.° Zeek nodded his head understanding the situation not needing to worry anymore, he exited the kitchen and headed to the door. "So what were you and the boy discussing? I might be blind doesn't mean that I can't hear your hands moving together." Venith chuckled at the comment of Miss Ming's voice. "He was just worried that you would tell on me since you knew who I was, it's ok he gets it now," Venith said, she walked up to Miss Ming and hugged her before exiting the kitchen.

Zeek was waiting for Venith at the door, they both grabbed raincoats from the coat rack when Venith had hers's she reached into her pockets and pulled out to mask; she handed one to Zeek and she put the other over her face. "We shouldn't ride your bike it could be easily spotted by the cops or those stalkers," Venith said reaching down and grabbing a gray backpack, and swinging over her shoulder. "Don't worry about it I got that covered I designed the bike to change design and color for camouflage." Venith nodded her head and turned the sign to open the door. They left out the shop heading across the street to a huge abandoned gray looming building, both feeling the rain-filled air hit their faces.
