It's the apocalypse again

They called it Xivanga—the storm that rewrote everything. Xu Qianqian never believed in second chances and yet she was reborn, determined to turn things around, she worked hand in hand with her system. But survival has a price. Her time travel has triggered unforeseen consequences, and when the apocalypse finally arrives, it’s not just zombies she has to fight. ——— His voice was a guttural growl, full of restrained anger. "I warned you fools that meddling with time would cost us. Look at what you've done!" To his left sat Morina, the Time Witch, draped in a robe that shimmered like the night sky, constellations constantly shifting across its surface. Her silver hair floated as though suspended in water, and her violet eyes glowed with an otherworldly wisdom—and irritation. She waved a hand dismissively, her long fingers adorned with rings of forgotten eras. "We agreed this was necessary, Valthor. The timeline was collapsing, and Earth was doomed regardless. Or do you forget the endless cycles of failure before this?" Beside her was Kaelith, a lithe and feline humanoid with sleek, obsidian fur and sharp, golden eyes that glinted with mischief. His movements were unnervingly graceful, his clawed fingers tapping rhythmically on the table. A faint smirk played on his lips, though his tone dripped with sarcasm. "Oh yes, blame the witch for trying to fix your mess. Typical. Perhaps we should have let the humans drown in their own stupidity instead of breaking the Void." Across from him sat Tharien, a being who resembled a living flame encased in a translucent humanoid form. His fiery core pulsed with each word, his voice crackling like a roaring inferno. "Enough of this bickering! The Void breaches are spreading, and those creatures are already decimating Earth. If we delay, there won’t be any humans left to save!" Next to Tharien was Selene, a luminous figure cloaked in radiant light, her features almost indistinguishable, save for her glowing silver eyes. She radiated calm authority, her voice soft but firm. "The time travel spell was a gamble, yes. But it was also a necessity. Qianqian was chosen for a reason, and we must trust that she can rise to the challenge. The system and Echo were designed to guide her." Finally, at the opposite end of the table sat Drenar, a shadowy figure with horns that curled upward like a crown of bone. His presence oozed malice, his blackened claws tapping against the obsidian table. He leaned forward, his red eyes glowing like embers. "Trust her? You mean the human who already broke reality? The breaches weren’t a coincidence, Selene. The spell triggered a cascade, and now beings far more powerful than us are slipping through the cracks. Your ‘pillar’ has failed before, and she will fail again." The room grew deadly silent as Drenar’s words hung in the air..... ———

The End Begins

Year 3024...

She was exhausted. She was tired. She just wanted to stop running and rest for a bit but the growling sounds behind her made her unable to.She was losing momentum, they were catching up to her...and fast. At that moment she couldn't help but remember how life was before now.

Year 3019

Xu Qianqian was at her college hostel packing up for the winter break, she usually spends her breaks at school considering they was no one at home left for the maids and guards.

Her parents having left their company to her older brother spent their remaining days travelling and exploring the world. Her other sister on the other hand was making waves in the entertainment industry,She was skilled, had a nice voice and looks to boot.

Xu Qianqian was pretty as well, very much so,but unlike her siblings she was withdrawn and quiet, she hated attention the most.

She was studying arts in college as she loved painting and no one was against it.

She had received a call from her brother earlier that week notifying her of a family get together that weekend.

She had no idea of what was going on because her brother hardly called,he only texted. So there she was packing up and getting into the car her brother, probably, sent.

Xu Qianqian last saw her parents a year ago,it wasn't like they didn't love her or her siblings,Xu Wei and his wife Wang Lihua had been running their companies for years, they hardly had time for themselves so the moment their son,Xu Jinhai was old enough they quickly packed up and left, they would skpe and facetime from time to time but that was it.

As she got home she found out that she was the first to arrive so she headed straight into her room to unpack and refresh herself. She kept herself busy in her room as she waited for her siblings and dinner, after a while she heard some commotion downstairs.

She quickly rushed down to see what was going on and lo and behold she saw her parents, Funny enough they looked younger than before. Her dad was full of laughter as always while her mum had the same neutral look. Seeing their daughter,Xu Wei quickly rushed up to her and pulled her for a very tight hug,you couldn't blame the man he hasn't seen his favourite girl in years.

He quickly started asking her questions about school and life, meanwhile Wang Lihua just gave her a long and thorough look and asked,"how have you been, princess?"

Xu Qianqian answered, "Hmm,just so-so I guess". She wasn't much of a talker and they knew it. They quickly went inside the house.

It didn't take long for Xu Jinhai and Xu Xiaoyu to come back and that was all it took to turn the previously quiet house to a loud amusement park,Xu Xiaoyu and Xu Wei made sure of this.

Xu Qianqian didn't need to be told to finally know why her brother called. After dinner the siblings immediately started bombarding their parents with questions, Xu Xiaoyu was the first to take off. "Okay,so Mom,Dad what's going on?

Xu Qianqian immediately followed up with, "Exactly, why are you back?"Xu Wei was flabbergasted, he immediately started complaining, "So you guys don't love this old man anymore, Just take a look at this ungrateful set of people, why can't I come back to my own house, huh?"

Xu Jinhai quickly replied with"no, don't get us wrong we are just suprised that's all".Wei and Lihua then told their children about the news they heard abroad, apparently the satellite and weather has been acting up,so they decided to come back home and stay with their kids.

Xiaoyu quickly retorted,"Geez, you guys are so gullible there's nothing wrong with anything, calm down".Qianqian and Jinhai said the same thing, but Jinhai's expression was a bit off.

Apparently such news has been going around but only among the elite circle. He kept telling himself that it was just fake news but he couldn't help this feeling that was creeping within him.

The family spent time together throughout the whole week,it was just five days to Christmas and less than 2 weeks to the New year festival.

Xu Jinhai kept going to work even though his father kept urging him to stay at home, but being the stubborn person he was he continued. The family spent the Christmas together but Jinhai had to travel for a meeting two days before the new year.

Everyone was suprised as this was very strange but they didn't put much thought in it,considering that the government didn't say anything about it.

Meanwhile, at the Xu's

The family had been trying to get hold of Xu Jinhai up to no avail, the were very worried considering the impromptu rain. Xu Wei then decided to make a trip and find him the very next day,the whole family then went to sleep with frowns on their faces.

The very next day,Qianqian woke up to her sister's screams, she quickly rushed out the door and into her sister's room only to see her sister on her bed battling one of their maids who was trying to, as crazy as it may sound, eat her.

Xu Wei and Xu Lihua quickly rushed in after their daughter to witness the same. Wei immediately shouted while quickly rushing to grab the girl,"what nonsense is this, have you gone mad?"but Qianqian immediately drew her father back while looking around searching for a weapon.

Xu Wei was dumbfounded and was trying to fight off Qianqian while shouting, "leave me,what exactly does this idiot think my daughter is,a serving of hotpot?"but Xu Lihua quickly noticed the abnormality that Qianqian noticed and then held Wei back.

Meanwhile all Qianqian found was a pair of high heels, which she quickly used to bash the maid's head,Xiaoyu then pushed the body away.

Wei and Lihua quickly rushed up to their daughter while Qianqian quickly locked the door. The family then got a good look at the maid and was shocked she looked Like a bag of bones with clothes on.

Soon there was loud bangs on the door, the loud screams and shouting had dragged the zombies to the door.

They had no means of escape except through the window, they all tried to pass through by making a rope out of the bedsheets, the were lucky enough amd they all made it out, then they discovered that they were the only normal ones remaining, everyone else had been bitten.

They then tried to maneuver their way around all the ones they saw till they reached the gate but as they reached the gates and opened them, it quickly dawned on them that the nightmare had long begun.
