CHAPTER XVII

"Are you seeing someone right now?!"

"Then what's the ring you're wearing, Mr. Byanzheki?!"

"What type of girl is she?!"

The reporters kept approaching me before I could even enter the building. They were all questioning the same questions. It's been a week now give me a break already!

Today is the month of June. It's been two months but Reeves and Lumiere are not getting along so I worried about them. Thank goodness Reeves is also busy that he came home late at night or midnight. He would climb up to my bed and hug me then gave me a peck of a kiss on my forehead.

As I was tired of it all, I immediately grabbed one of the reporter's collars and take his mic, and started to confess.

"Yes, I'm seeing someone. To be honest, since I came back from my long vacation I'm already madly in love with this person. And yes, we're planning on getting married"

After that brazen confession. The news about me spread like a wildfire. All over the internet throughout the rumors, all of them were shocked and curious about who's my lover. They couldn't think of someone else since I have not seen another woman.

They did a background check on me but failed.

As I got home, Reeves was waiting for me outside the mansion.

"You came home early"

He kissed me.

"Yeah, I decided to come home early since I've been busy these past few days and I've already missed you"

"Where's Lumiere?"

Reeves frowned.

"Seriously, I might be mistaken that you like him better than me"

I look at him and without a second thought I blurted out.

"But it is"

Oh boy, I have never seen how shocked his expression was.

"Just kidding, of course, I love the both of you since the two of you are alike"

"Kyen!!!—"

Before he could even protest and make me feel sorry, I immediately leave as he followed me while throwing tantrums.

It was already evening as we dined together quietly.

"Hmm, I just thought a great idea!"

The two of them looked at me.

"How about we have a family bonding, hmmm?"

"Kyen—nii chan I'm excited!—"

Before Lumiere could finish what he was saying, Reeves threw daggers at him as he glared at his father and then quietly continued eating.

"It's still not even three months since you started studying yet you want to fool around?"

I sighed as I place my hands on Reeves's right hand as he glanced at me. I shook my head.

"Then how about a day off? Kids like him should enjoy more about their childhood more. You never know he might grow up holding a grudge at you"

Reeves kept quiet as he continue eating

"Oh, common Reeves! This is good timing for the three of us to get out!"

I whispered at him.

"This might your only chance to get close to your son"

He stopped for a second and then looked at me.

"Then, let's have a picnic"

Yes! I almost screamed because of a sudden burst of happiness. Geez, Reeves can't be so honest with his son.

After a week, it's already Saturday. It's a very important day, of course, I cleared all of my schedules today!

"Let me carry that for you"

"No, it's okay. Besides, it's not heavy"

The three of us are currently walking on the sidewalk. Of course, I'm in the middle. Lumiere is holding my right hand while Reeves is holding me at my right waist. It's a bit uncomfortable...

"Why am I in the middle?"

The two of them chuckled.

"Of course, Kyen-nii chan must be in the middle! I don't want father to be in the middle it would just ruin the atmosphere"

What a blunt kid!

I looked at Reeves, he just ignored it and then walked ahead of us then placed the blanket on a neat grass. It felt like you were in a fantasy story because of your surroundings. Not to mention that there are no people—wait no people?

I glanced at Reeves as I tapped his shoulder.

"Did you... Perhaps rent the entire public park?"

"Ah, it wasn't a big deal—"

I grabbed his collar as I shouted.

"Why did you do that?!"

"?!"

Lumiere hold my clothes as I glanced back at him.

"What do you mean Kyen-nii chan? This is nice! There are no people!"

Tsk, the two of them share a bloodline!

"But it's still happier if there are people here! Like, Lumiere getting to know a few friends...? "

"But I don't need one though"

"Hush husssh! Don't say that, you'll need it when you grow up. Aren't you afraid no one will be by your side?"

"But just you is enough Kyen—nii chan"

This child!... I glanced at Reeves as he chuckled.

"That's not funny you know!"

The two of us shared jokes and stories then we are the sandwiches that I made. After a while, Reeves felt sleepy so he decided to take a nap on my legs while Lumiere is playing with the ball.

It was a great day at least the two of them got to talk normally with each other. It was already afternoon when we decided to go home. While walking on the sidewalk, there was an ice cream man.

"I want to eat that! It looks yummy!"

Lumiere immediately pointed to the ice cream as I noticed that many people buy ice cream.

"Your brat, you're not even sure if that ice cream is safe."

"Father! Don't be a killjoy! And how can be that ice cream is dangerous if many people are buying it?"

"If you want ice cream, we could buy many at a convenience store or something—"

"No, I don't want to! I want that ice cream!"

Now Lumiere is behaving like a child. I patted his head.

"Then let's try it out"

"But—"

I looked at Reeves then chuckled.

"Don't be so paranoid, it's just food it can't kill you. Besides, this is the first time your son demanded something... Aren't you proud?"

He stopped for a moment then smiled as he looked at me then chuckled.

"Geez, I really can't win at you"

"Haha!"

Lumiere was excitedly running toward us after buying its favorite chocolate ice cream. I saw a truck coming at him then I immediately stand up and when I was about to run towards him, I saw Reeves pushing Lumiere as Reeves was the one hit by the truck.

Lumiere was rolling at the side of the road while Reeves was bleeding. My mind was not present but I run towards Reeves and Lumiere also. The driver of the truck immediately called for an emergency.

As I was holding Reeves in my arms, I can't believe my eyes. It was very sudden. Good thing the emergency immediately came and picked up Reeves and then go to the nearest hospital.

As Reeves was under operation, Lumiere was crying desperately. I was also tearing up because of a sudden turn of events but I pull myself together and comforted Lumiere.

"It was my fault-his-tha-that father—"

"No! It wasn't your fault Lumiere. When you came towards us, it was a green light. So don't blame yourself, okay?"

Lumiere nodded his head as he cried loudly while hugging me.

Brother Laven, Raspher, Wellian as well as Hiyaki came to the hospital after hearing what happened.
