It's Either You Or No One

When jasmine checked back at the wall clock, it's already past eight. She's been trying to reach her granddaughters since an hour plus, but yet none of them picked up the calls. Infact, they turned off their phones, which made jasmine became more worried. Her hair by now is now a total mess like she was struck by an electric. Hmm, yeah. Maybe electrocuted. Frustration has a lot to do with that. I guess. She grabbed the second iPhone 14 which her son, Justin, had bought for her few weeks ago before leaving for L.A, from the glass center table. At once within a blink of an eye, she began dialing her son's number.

Killer Deli From Mars

"Hell Geez, that was awful." Bernard commented before shoving a piece of steak into his mouth.

"I know, right?" Britney tittered. "My brothers do say the same everytime I raise up that topic. They'll be like, 'Yuck, Britney stop'!"

"Seriously, it gross."

"Hmm, it disgust me too." She chuckled and took a sip from her juice.

"So you have siblings older than you?" He asked.

Fidgeting with her fork, Britney sighed, "Well, not really older than as you said but umm-" Placing the fork down, she clasped her fingers on the table and took a deep breath, "I'm quintuplet."

Bernard widened his eyes in shock and gasped. 'True'?

"Three boys and two girls that includes me. I'm the youngest of them all."

"Wow, that is mere." He chuckled and helplessly shook his head. "So there are four people at the top before you which makes you feel too controlled."

"Oh Bernard you just stated my mind." Britney sighed and shook her head in pity of herself. "They're just older than me in minutes and they feel like the owner of my life."

Staring at her for quite some time, Bernard tittered softly, "Do you know that it's a gift for a younger one to have seniors?"

When Britney gave him a weird look, he nodded and continued eating, "It's a priceless gift, Britney. You should be thankful."

"Oh God, Bernard stop saying this. It's crazy. You need to see this people in action for no reason. They're annoying." Pausing for a while, she pouted her lips, "Sometimes I wish I was born alone without coming out with them the same day."

Spatting the juice out, Bernard coughed vigorously. He almost choked.

"Oh my, so sorry." Britney panicked and passed him the tissue. "Are you okay?"

Wiping his mouth, he nodded. Of course he is not okay.

Britney breath a sigh of relief, "My words attacked you, right?" When he didn't say anything, she answered herself, "Yeah, I know. I'm the youngest and I shouldn't take things too far with my seniors but Whitney? Grr! She's a bitch. She's my most detested opponent."

"Now you hate your quin sister?"

"Uh huh, I won't deny it. One minute we are friends and the next, worst enemies. Infact Bernard, you need to meet this people. Kingston, Princeton and Winston are the knights to save the day when it comes to women but Whitney, she's the bad mutant."

Bernard shook his head and crossed his arms with a wide smile on his face, "And if you were given authority to come out as the first quin, you would have delt with them so hard?"

Bernard knew everything popping in Britney's mindset. He is very good at reading people's outward personality and from Britney's side, he could tell her way of life. He had already knew her weaken point from the little conversations they are having.

Britney shrugged her shoulders and mumbled, "Well, I'll be glad if a yes bumped out of my mouth."

Bernard laughed and shook his head. Exactly as he had thought her to be.

Keeping quiet for a while, she asked, "How come you still don't want to discuss anything about your background with me?"

Swirling his juice, Bernard chuckled, "We just met not even up to an hour yet. There's a big time ahead, I can keep that conversation for the latter."

'For the latter? Alright.' Britney shrugged and smiled at him.

Glancing at his watch, he mumbled, "Oh man, lunchtime is already ten minutes over."

Britney widened her eyes in shock, "Ten minutes?!"

"Are you full-time schedule?"

"Of course yes. I dislike part-times and my parents and siblings too." Britney answered.

"Me too, I'm full-time. I have a class right now."

"Then we better hurry because it's same as me too."
