First day first night

Crackling fire sound come from the firewood, Lex, Max, Mashiro, Elena, and Neo, they sat on that order circling the small fireplace in the middle. On top of the fireplace there's a bird and a few fish roasted

It started a few hours ago

(aren't these guys much more competent than me?) Lex thought when he saw Mashiro, Max and Elena brought back pile of firewood and edible plant

(they even know the one which can be used as seasoning, I don't even know which one that can be eaten)

When he asked Max how can they know that much about edible plants "well, we all came from orphanage its usual thing for us to look for edible plants on a forest like that" Max shrugged

Lex is amazed by his answer

(that's what they learn on orphanage!?)

"whoa" Neo shouted as he just came back from checking the base surrounding

(hmm?) Lex saw something on his hand as he makes his way to the base

Maybe Neo felt Lex gaze, as Neo quickly show the others the thing on his hand "oh, I caught a bird for tonight dinner" he said as he smiled brightly

(how!? What! the! F**k! is these guys orphans came from orphanage? NO! they're already a hunter like this! Seriously, is this what they learn on orphanage now!?)

"uggh, I feel I have a headache" Lex mutter seeing the unbelievable scene, he just can't accept the reality shown to him.

"you can take a rest now Lex" Max said "we're going to start preparing for dinner now"

Because the Exam started from noon, just a few hours the sun will set.

"mmm…" Lex nodded "it's ok I can still at least safeguard our belonging, thanks for the consideration"

After that the four of them went by to the river to clean the dishes, and they quickly started the fire as they came back,

(how do we cook?) Lex question quickly answered,

(hahaha, looks like they all learn how to cook on the orphanage too, especially the girls, ahahaha seriously what kind of elite institution an orphanage is!!! I'm going crazy!!!)

In the end all the task finished by the four of them, all Lex do is only preparing the place to sleep and safeguard their belonging

"I'm sorry, I don't help much" Lex said gloomy, right after they finished their dinner

It takes a while before Lex cheered up

"aa~~" Elena replied she understands why Lex asked about it

The both of them since they came back from preparing dinner has been flustered and embarrassed the whole time, sometime when they calmed down, the both of them will stole a to each other before become embarrassed once again, and if they both catch each other eyes they become even more embarrassed and flustered, it likes the whole area surrounding the both of them have become pink colored

"haha" Neo laughed out loud "you see, when we're preparing dinner, both of them playing on the river water splashing each other like 'kyakya ufufufu" then Neo imitated what he saw from both of them

""we're not like that!!!"" Mashiro and Max refuted in perfect harmony

"See!" Neo said

"Ugh!""

"we're not like that right Elena?" as the last stand Mashiro asked for her best friend hand

"…sorry, I can't help you about that" before mercilessly slapped away by Elena

"aha~~" Lex grinned to Mashiro and Max "youth huh…, looks like spring has come to both of them~~ how we celebrate this~~" Lex said as he teased both of them

It was a happy dinner for the first night. They don't have anything more to do tonight except sleep

"right, I know both of your name, but we pretty much don't know each other, no?" Lex said while Elena and Neo nodded in agreement, and Mashiro and Max still haven't snapped out from their embarrassed state

"can I ask you two something, I want to know more about you all" Lex said

They both exchange glance before nodded to each other

"I don't mind" Neo replied

"we want to know about you all too" Elena said

"nice! Let's see for the beginning… can you tell me how can you two join this group"

"Mashiro invited me, I'm Mashiro roommate" Elena replied " and I invited Neo, to come with us when I found out we missing one person, by the way Neo came from the same orphanage with me"

Neo nodded with Elena explanation "we come from Sunnie Orphanage" Neo added

(ooo~~, I thought they much closer to each other, I don't expect they came from the same orphanage, but they don't use the orphanage as their family name like Max huh~, or maybe only Max like that…)

"did you two like them too?" then Lex pointed the two who still haven't snapped out from their embarrassed state

"we're more like sibling, no?" Elena said

"that's right" Neo agreed

(mm…, I can't see them lying to me at all, if they really lying to me they must have a terrifying acting skill)

"fufufu~, it's our turn!!" Elena said cheerfully

(did she always had this kind of personality before? maa~~, who cares)

"What about you Lex? Where are you coming from? I heard zero wasn't numbers" Neo interrupted Elena and asked first

"hey!, me first!" Elena complained but ignored by Lex and Neo

"what you heard is right, I'm a 'guest' unlike others"

"hee~~ then where are the other 'guest'?"

"actually I don't know too, they said I'm a special one among the 'guest' that's the reason I'm here"

"hey!!!! Don't ignore me!!" Elena shouted to Lex and Neo

"ahaha, it's her turn now" Neo said looking at Elena warmly like and older brother looking after their younger one

"do you have someone you like?" Elena asked

(looks like no matter the age girl always like love gossip huh)

"you mean like them?" Lex pointed the Mashiro and Max once again

"that's rude!!" Max complained when he saw Lex

"Oh? You've snapped out of it?" Lex replied "I thought you need another two days for that" and he teased them again

"hmph!" Max shrugged it off easily

(whoa, he's grown up..)

"haha, you teased me again and again huh, we heard what you three talking just now, prepared yourself!!" Max declared

Then when Lex directed his gaze to the other person who got the splashed damage from Max "ummm… , Mashiro…" Lex called

"Hmm?" Mashiro replied with a smile

"your eyes-…."

"HMMM???" Mashiro interrupted before Lex can finished his words

"uuu,,, nevermind"

(she's smiling but her eyes not!! It's scary!!)

(what to do, even if I answer no one they won't believe me like this, but the girl I know are….ok I decided let's used her name!!)

"actually" Lex said with a very serious face "me too, I have someone I like too"

"""…*glup...""""

"w-who?" Elena asked

"Mio… Furuhashi Mio"

"you're not lying to us right?" Max interrogated

"ahaha, of course not, it was the girl I've met on the ship"

(ahaha, with this they can't do anything about it, as expected of me!)

(looks like he understands he can't do anything about it)

Elena and Neo too can't say anything as they don't know much about Lex nor Mio

At that time "Furuhashi...!?" Mashiro suddenly screamed, the rest attention quickly attracted to her

"L-Lex, did she introduce herself as Furuhashi" Mashiro asked carefully

(why she asked that? And somehow she looks a bit afraid)

Lex clapped his hand "time to rest, I'm gonna take the night duty today as I don't help much on today dinner, as for our conversation let's continue that tomorrow night, we still have much time"

No one opposed Lex suggestion,

"you're right" Max said, before telling them what to do tonight,

Lex was left alone sitting beside the fireplace

(I don't expect to get information about that crazy girl here…)
