My part time

Aaradhana's POV:

During introduction professor asked me,"Do you have any relatives in this college".I thought of telling about A Arjun.But I thought if he didn't like so I told professor "I don't have any".

Lunch Break :

On my way to cafeteria ,I heared cafeteria attendants speaking

Attendent 1(lakshmi): Vijaya , We are cooking for this college for more than 10 yrs. Years passes ,and I am also getting old. I cannot manage both afternoon and night shift simultaneously.It would be good if I have some helper.

Attendant 2 (Vijaya) : Yes lakshmi akka.We can ask manager Sir about this.

(I realised that I need money to return home for weekend .I am short of Rs.100 .I went to them)

Hi lakshmi akka , Vijaya akka.I listened to your conversation.I'll help you with night shifts ,you can tell manager about this.

( I thought , I cannot work outside if athai,mama,Arjun finds out they'll find that I am shortage of money, they ll question about this to chinamma .I cannot let them know in any cost.Since it is night shift even Arjun will not be able to find about this)

After afternoon class ,lakshmi akka took me to their manager for letting me work in night shift. They told me salary is 17000 per month. (You must see ,how excited I was . I can give 13000 to my chinamma and I can have 4000 as my savings)

~~Evening falls~~

My part time begins at 7pm ends at 12 am. I reached hostel at 4.30 .After taking a quick break , I started getting ready for my part time. I reached there by 6. 30. My job is a waiter . (Suddenly I got call from chinamma)

Chinamma- "What maharani did u get part-time or not ?or Are you still planning to be burden on us. As I told I' ll not give you a single penny .Next week I am planning to cut short your packet money .As you know these days there is money shortage in home.so it's better if you take part time"

I told chinamma in an excited voice .Don't worry chinamma I got part time in cafeteria itself .My salary is 17,000 . I ll give you 13,000 at beginning of each month.

chinamma(in Greedy voice,aara doesn't know this)-"Is it my dear!!. My efforts in raising you didn't go in vain.Don't stop with only one part time .do more part time.so that you can solve our family poverty. Get some advance amount from them .even it's 5000 it's ok for me. I ll manage our home with that"

( All these while lakshmi was hearing the conversation as Aaradhana phone volume was high that anyone near 100 cm can hear)

Lakshmi thinking,"kadavule (OMG in Tamil) , why this child has to undergo these many torture at this young age. Kids at her age have their own dream .This child doesn't know that she's being bullied by her chinamma.Please save this child.I can only protect her during her night shift ".

Aaradhana - I asked lakshmi akka,"Akka what are you thinking.Akka you better have a break . I ll manage things here. "

(Saying that aara makes lakshmi akka to sit in chair ,gave her water and let her take rest)

Aaradhana- My first day turns to be busy day. I heared from other workers that "Intercollege basketball competition held in indoor stadium". As I knew Arjun is a basketball player, my heart wanted to see his match.

Then I thought I cannot let Arjun know about this job. So I convinced myself not to go there .

It's around 9 pm . I saw many players at the bill counter . I was very tired and I thought of asking help from some one for serving these players .I saw lakshmi akka .she was fast asleep (she's working for 12 hrs. So I let her sleep. ).

Then I motivated myself "aara, you cannot lose your will power.you can serve 100 more"

( Aara getting freshed up. Changes her gloves to new pair.she then Wears a new mask and hair cover.Her energy got restored)

Aara - I started serving people their food.Then I heared an familiar voice asking, "Akka I want one set idli and one plain dosa".

I turned my face for giving order.I shocked to see Arjun "I tried to hide my face" . But he caught me and with shocked face he told "Aaradhana , Is that really you?"
