A Mer-What?

*Third POV*

Zoe opened her eyes wide, panting, staring at the ceiling above her. The white pattern of the leaves and colourful flowers. Taking a deep breath as she closed her eyes again, covering her mouth with her palm. Sweat running down her forehead, raising her hand in front to her face, staring at her fingers.

"It was just a dream, just a dream" She repeatedly murmurs under her breath to herself, signing in response. Getting up from her bed, running the fingers through her messy hair.

While sitting at the edge of the bed, looking out of the window the storm has stopped now. The clear view of the sky sparkling of the stars, the moon in the middle. Smiling in response, loving the surrounding silence in the room.

Noticing now that she is alone in the room made her sign once more than she got down from the bed. Walking towards the mirror on the opposite side of the room, staring blankly at it, which soon looked blurry from where she was.

The curtain of the windows which left wide open making the moonlight fall inside the room. Wearing a thin white dress with full sleeves, and the skirts end just below her knees.

The chilly wind enters, making her shiver as it touches her exposed skin. Feet touching the soft carpet under her feet as she stops in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection.

The dreams which are still haunting her every night more like a nightmare that what she did to her little sister. The memories still haunt her, heart filled with regret for what she did.

But it's the best way what she could think of keeping her little sister away from her life. Away from her family she has now where she is happy with the love of her life and her child.

"You are a curse, a curse, just an evil one shouldn't exist"

Looking at the mirror in front of her, dark circles under her eyes. Hair which is all over the place into a wide mess. White colour nightdress which ends just below her knees with long sleeves.

With a thin belt tied around her waist. Blue necklace, which is still visible around her neck, sparkles as the moonlight falls upon it. Dried tear's on her cheeks, lips which are parted, breathing heavily, Zoe can still feel her hands shaking in fear.

"She isn't here anymore its just a dream," Zoe said running the tears away from her cheeks. "She is just somewhere far away and safe, nothing happened to her," the thumping of her heart reaching at her ears in the silent room. "I'm doing what's best for Auro, she is in a safe place."

"Could you elaborate the somewhere safe place?" a voice said just across the room, leaning against the wall, making Zoe jump out of her skin.

*Aurora POV*

As soon as I opened my eyes I coughed, throwing up water. I can feel the burning sensation on my back of my throat and my chest. Makes it harder for me to breathe., opening my mouth again just to cough again and throw up.

A hand kept rubbing on me as if taking the pain away from me as if to calm me down. It worked like it cast a magical spell upon me, taking the pain away. An icy shiver passes through me when the hand touched my arm. Whoever it is their body is as cold as ice.

The cold sensation continues when the hand moved head as if it has vanished the pain on my head. Opening my eyes, which I didn't know was close before, looking down at my feet. Sand all over my hands and legs. With the shadow of someone sitting beside me, cast upon me. The seawater kept brushing against me when the waves came in.

A pair of the hand supporting me to sit up straight my head which was still staring in between my legs. Head which was hammering seems to stop. Not to forget the ringing in my ears has too. Taking a deep breath, moving my eyes towards the person beside me who is still patting my head.

Dark black eyes staring right at me, with white long hallow hair falls across the half-face which didn't hide the long ears poking out. Three deep cut mark on the eighter side of its cheeks. Thin plum wet pink lips making me bite my lips how chewy it looks, gulping in response as my eyes run across its body. White long wet hair sticking in its plain as white sheet wet build up the body.

Moving my eyes below his waist made my heart stopped as if my eyes going to fall out and will roll in the sand. From its just below his hip, merge long beautiful purple reddish fishtail as it sparkles.

A pair of small fin either side just below his waist, the same with the end of the trail where there are two beautiful purple-violet colour fins.

'Wait mermaid' I thought making me open my mouth wide open, looking back towards it just to see the face inch away from mine. Making my heart skip a beat, making me forget how to breathe.

'The heck is wha-wa What is who the hell are you' I wanted to scream but my lips kept on moving with no voice coming out. Which only made it bend his head to the left side like a lost puppy with a confused look over its face.

Moving towards me as he was bending down my face as I just an inch or two away from him. Making my eyes to fall upon his lips then towards his eyes.

'Am I going to be kissed by this mermaid wait it doesn't have boobs then it must be a merman right.' I pause, looking down.

'Girls has like lemons and watermelons and men have tiffin box or heat pad or what? Some have nothing but sometimes girls don't too wha-brain stop it!!! First, it's so beautiful just like came out of the novel.'

Isn't that I'm in some kind of novel, first, I'm in a bloody novel why the hell I'm in the novel-

The next thing I didn't expect that he sniffed me, feeling his cold breath in front of my face. Breaking me out of the train of thoughts. Once again he sniffed me making shiver under him as he closed his eyes.

Do I smell bad that I have to sniff, I just took a clean bath in the sea with salt to kill all m ger-

Wait, a mermaid!? Is it going to eat me or something like that? Dude, they eat humans and I'm a human now I will be dinner to a mermaid, no I mean a merman or a mermaid with built flat chest. Waaait why the hell I'm even a human, why I'm not a vampire, so I would have disappeared in the sound's speed at least.

Before it could any closer be pushing him away from me, just made me touch his chest in response, send a sudden shiver all over my body. Gulping in response, my hand still touching its rock-hard chest, so cold under my touch. Closing my eyes shaking my head pushing him hard away from me. Hearing a small yell which didn't stop me getting on my feet without turning my back. Withing looking back, eyes still closed, I ran as fast as I can away from him.

'The heck that mermaid was too I mean the merman was too close to me waaaaa he will eat just like the stories like raw without cooking me? Wait do I even wanted to be get cooked and eaten but- I would have gotten eaten by now, and I remember I was-The memories came crushing down to me who I ended up here.

It pushed me off of the cliff into the sea where I- he probably saved my life back there. If I wasn't for that mermaid or merman, I would have been flowing down in the water. Things are blurry but I remember someone with white long hair same as the one back there swimming towards me.

Surely as no one was there beside that one. I should probably thank that one so it could go back home towards the water world, I guess. What I have read they can't be for a long time in the land, even if they do just to find genuine love in the novels I have read.

Stopping on my track as I sign in response opening my eyes looking up towards the sky which is clean now. Moon shining along with many stars surrounding it. The sea calm under it now, sparkling along with it. The sound of the waves reaching my ears calming my heartbeat saliently listening to it. Taking a deep breath, rubbing my hands together to warm it.

'Just thank that mermai-MERMAN and see him off into the sea I'm happy that one is happy. Let's go fighting Aurora'

Turning around as I walked just to bump against the vast wall against me. I gasp, stumbling on my feet just to make me fall back in the sand with a thud. My eyes move upwards to see the pair of grey eyes staring back at me with a blank look on his face.

White long hair still covering half of its face, as the moonlight casting the shadow over. The grill from the right side of cheek faded away, making the plain as if never existed before.

The same mermaid from before stood in front of me who has probably saved me but what is he doing here and now how can he stand so tall. I thought about the tail of his-

Soon my eyes move downwards from his hard tone chocolate abs below its waist. Making my eyes go wide as it will poke out and will roll down in the sand. The huge ting tong hanging in between its leg where there was supposed to be the beautiful tail.

Where did it disappear that tail-that means it's a merman? It's a merman its confirmation it's a merman its- making my mouth hanging wide open gasping for air. Looking back up towards his face just to see as if there are two of them now rather than one wait now there are three or two.

Trying my best to keep my eyes wide open but all goes in vain, I can feel myself fading in and soon I can feel myself falling backwards as the darkness took over me.
