The Beginning

Rain, what do you think about rain? Water, wet, cold, noisy, stay home and of course sleep. That's what most people think isn't it? But not for me, I really like rain. Starting from the drizzle that wets the roof and then falls to the ground, the creaking sound, the cold air that is created, to the smell of rain after it has been shaded, everything is very calming. I also like to stand in the rain instead of taking cover.

"Nesa, take the clothesline, it's drizzling outside," my mother called.

"Yes ma'am,"

I stopped writing my diary, it turned out that God was listening to my story, I saw drops of water starting to fall little by little. I ran out of the house looking up at the sky and took a deep breath.

"Aah this is what I like about the rain, it's so calming,"

I hastily grabbed a clothesline and carried it into the house.

"Why is it taking so long Nes?" Mother looked at me.

"You know I like rain, I stood in the rain first," I replied without turning my head, just staring at the water that kept falling outside.

"You're a habit, mom said don't like the rain, you can get sick," my mother suggested. I just nodded in response.

Of course it wasn't the first time Mother advised me, even many times, but I never listened, after all I never got sick from the rain, bad girl indeed.

"Mom, I'm going to the back of the house, as usual," I immediately ran without waiting for an answer from my mother.

"You never listen to mom, if you're sick, mom won't take care of you," Mom scolded again, I just waved and smiled at my mom. It's always like that, Mom just nags but never forbids me.

I arrived behind my house, maybe you could say a small hill, because the area is large and there is a big mound in the middle. This is my favorite place when it rains, there is a tree house and swings here.

I sat on the swing while swinging myself slowly, I felt the silence that was here, there was only a cold feeling that hit me and the sound of rain that I heard, was not noisy to me, felt calming.

"I hope a rainbow appears this time," I muttered, looking up at the sky. One of my hopes when it rains is to see a rainbow, in my life I have never seen a rainbow when it rains, as if the rainbow refuses to appear in front of me.

"Aah, it's so cold in here, it's raining hard," I quickly climbed into the treehouse near me.

"I'm soaking wet, I've been on the swing too long," I moaned while drying my hair even though I know it's useless.

Don't think that the swing that I was riding on had a roof, it was right under a tree that was only shaded by leaves, it only had a slight swing.

I blinked my eyes slowly, the rain had stopped only a few drops of water were still falling.

"Ah, glare," my eyes narrowed at the twilight light in the west, the culprit who woke me from my deep sleep.

"I fell asleep apparently, the tree house is the best place to enjoy the rain," I dangled in front of the door of the tree house, sitting enjoying the view that spoils the eyes.

I looked around me, silent, there was no one, until my eyes fell on the swing below me, my eyes narrowed, there was someone sitting there.

"Who is he? I never saw him," I dropped into my swing. I saw him just standing still, not moving an inch. Is he a ghost? That's what I thought.

"Are you new here?" I ventured to ask. He looked at me, he didn't answer.

I was astonished. How not, his green eyes, strong jaw, and white hair, not white with gray hair, but white like an albino. And what caught my attention the most, there was a stick next to his body, not an ordinary stick, because it was short and had a green stone at the end.

He just stared at me silently, never answering my question. "Are you new here? Or are you lost?" I repeat my question.

"No, I just want to sit here," he finally answered.

"I've never seen you here, are you new here?" I repeated my question for the third time. I've lived here since I was a kid and I've never seen anyone with white hair live in my neighborhood.

"Think of it that way if it answers your question," he answered without turning to look at me, his green eyes staring straight ahead.

I am a little annoyed, this man is not polite, how can he speak without looking at other people. I sat on the swing beside him.

"How did you find this place? Only the people closest to me know this place," I asked without looking at him, I wanted to reply.

"I was walking and found this place, I think it's good enough to rest,"

"How to? My house is a bit far from the other villagers, and the hill is a bit closed from a distance," I wondered.

"Are you following me?" I continue my question, even though I know it's a stupid question.

"Nothing is impossible for me," he replied, curtly, densely, but incomprehensible.

"What are you doing here yourself?" the man asked back and turned to me, his white hair swaying in the wind, and that added to his handsomeness.

"This is my secret place, I always come here when it rains. You're the first foreigner to come here besides those closest to me," I answered honestly. It was strange, I didn't pay attention to him, even though he was a new person I met, as if I was comfortable talking to him.

"Do you like rain? And why is this a secret place? This place is quite easy to find, not according to the secret you say," his eyes looked around, indeed this tree house was not hidden like his words.

"Yes, I really like rain, rain brings peace to me," I turned to him then continued my words, "Why is this a secret place? Because my parents made this tree house and swing it for me and they said this is my secret place." He just nodded in response to my words.

"Would you like to see the rain?" he asked, swinging his wand.

"Why are you asking? Can you make it rain?" I chuckle, I know my question is very stupid.

"Yeah, I can make it rain," he replies with a smile at me, and it really adds to his good looks.

"Are you trying to be funny? You're not God, how can you make it rain," I replied with a laugh.

"What if I could? What did you give me?" he smiled, not smiling, rather smirking at me.

"Try, if you can, I will fulfill one of your requests," I challenged grinning back.

He immediately stood up while holding his wand, his mouth mumbled something, I don't know what he said, I don't understand, maybe not human language.

Shortly after he muttered, he pointed his wand upwards, then green light began to radiate from the gem at the tip of his wand. Its green light filled my surroundings, dazzling, dazzling brighter than the afternoon sun, until I had to close my eyes.

Tes...tes...tes...tes

Drops of water could be heard in my ears. I opened my eyes, I saw drops of water slowly falling from the sky, drizzling, soon became rain.

My eyes widened completely, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I walked forward and raised my hands to the sky. I felt water droplets touch my palms, wet, this is indeed water. I blinked a few times, still unable to believe what was happening.

"I told you, I can make it rain," his voice snapped me out of my shock.

"This rain is really made by you? I can't believe it, how can that be? You're not God, this must be just a coincidence. You're from BMKG?" I still refuse to believe it, because it makes no sense. I raised my hand again to the sky, wet, the rain hitting my palms again.

"You are stubborn. If you don't believe me, try explaining the green light from my wand, what do you think it is?" he asked back, asking for an answer.

"Maybe you're kidding, the green light is from a flashlight or whatever that can give off light," I stuttered to answer the question, even I'm not sure of the answer myself.

"You really are stubborn, huh," he walked towards me who was still standing still.

"Is there anything else you'd like to see? You're the one holding my wand this time," he stood staring at me, his green eyes piercing mine.

"Rainbow" I replied, I was hypnotized by her eyes, which reminded me of my father.

"All right, take my wand, and point it at the sky," he handed his wand in my hand.

Seeing no answer from his interlocutor, the man held Nesa's hand and put his wand in Nesa's grip.

"I know I'm handsome, don't act like that, quickly point the wand at the sky,"

"Ahh okay" I woke up from my daydream, I immediately turned my face that seemed to be red, I felt my face a little hot.

I raised the stick to the sky, I pointed the stone at the end of the stick to the sky. He muttered strangely in a language I didn't understand, was he a cult follower? That's what I thought to myself.

The wand in my hand shook violently, the green light was blinding again, the same as before, I closed my eyes.

I didn't hear the rain anymore, only the sound of a small drizzle. I opened my eyes, I saw at the end of the sky a rainbow began to form, one color, two colors, until a complete of seven colors.

My mouth gaped, I blinked my eyes repeatedly, the rainbow was still there, not disappearing. I turned to the side, and the man just smiled forward while staring at the rainbow.

My eyes are hot, I can't feel the tears flowing, I'm sobbing.

"Hey, why are you crying? Isn't the rainbow beautiful? Or is it not what you expected?" The man looked at me with a panicked face.

"Aah no, it's just that this is the first time I've seen a rainbow," I wiped my tears and chuckled to lighten the mood. "And rainbows remind me of my dad," I continued.

"Thank goodness, I thought you didn't like my rainbow," he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Now, do you believe that I can make rain and rainbows?" he looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"Yeah yeah, I guess these two phenomena make me believe," I nodded, for some reason it was annoying.

"But what are you? Are you God?" I brought my face closer to his, he was silent. I traced his face, his piercing green eyes, the thick black eyebrows I had just seen, his strong jawline, and white hair that fluttered in the wind, he was almost perfect.

"Aah I take back my sentence, you can't be God, maybe you're just a person who follows a cult," I pulled my face away from his face, staring at his face only made my face hot.

"Do you believe in witches?" he answered.

"So you mean you're a witch?" I chuckled at his answer. "You must really like fiction," I continued.

"Think about it, is there a human who can make it rain and make rainbows?" he asked me to come back.

"Ahh yes, of course not," I nodded. "Okay let's say, you are a magician, what are you doing here?" I asked curiously.

"I just want to see humans," he replied.

"Where are you from?" I asked again, really a human who asks a lot. I'm sure he thinks so of me.

"From another dimension," he replied casually as he pointed his finger at the sky.

I just nodded in response, my brain trying to process what just happened.

"Is it true that at the end of the rainbow there is an angel?" I asked again.

He raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" he looks confused.

"My dad said at the end of the rainbow there are seven nymphs. You're a witch, so what my dad said is true?" I looked at him expectantly.

"It seems your family likes fiction. There are no angels at the end of the rainbow, only in heaven," he replied with a chuckle.

"Have you ever seen an angel?" I answer.

"Come on, I'm a wizard, not an angel," he grumbled annoyed at my question.

"Who knows," I mumbled annoyed, pursing my lips.

"Can I ask a question?" the man asked.

"Of course"

"Why does the rainbow remind you of your father?" he answered.

"You see this treehouse and swing?" I answered while my eyes were looking at the place in question. "This place was built by my father for me, to relax or watch the rain. My father also promised to see rainbows after the rain here," I continued with tears in my eyes.

"Aah and also the angel at the end of the rainbow is the story she told me as a child," I continued with a chuckle, trying to hold back the tears that wanted to fall.

"But you've never seen a rainbow with your father?" He asked.

"Yes,"

"Why? Did your father disappear to the angel at the end of the rainbow?" He asked.

I raised my eyebrows and chuckled. "Are you trying to be funny?" I answer.

"Thank goodness you laughed, I just don't want to see you cry again," the man replied.

"My father was not taken by an angel but taken by God", I said.

"Ah sorry, I don't know. I made a joke instead," he looked at me guiltily.

"It's okay, your joke is funny," I replied, smiling at him.

"Oh yeah, what do you want from me?" I changed the subject, I didn't want him to feel guilty.

He frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Is it a forgetful witch? You said earlier, if you can prove your point, I'll grant your wish," I chuckled.

"Oh yeah I forgot" he replied. "But don't tell me witches are forgetful, if my people hear you can turn into a broom," he continued.

I laughed at the answer, it turned out to be quite funny, not as annoying at first.

"So what do you want? Don't be weird, I'm only human. You know that right?" I asked looking at him.

He just nodded, then paused, thinking for a moment. "I want to...,"

"Nesa,"

"Nesa,"

A voice called out to me, I looked around, there was no one.

"Nesa wake up," I felt a slight tremor in my body. I opened my eyes, I saw my mother in front of me.

"You are very habitual, every time it rains you always sleep in the tree house" my mother grumbled.

I blinked in confusion, I was in the treehouse, even though I was on the swing. I stared at the swing, blank. I looked around, empty, there was only mother in front of me.

"Mom have you seen my friend?" I ask.

"What do you mean? You've been alone since mom woke you," my mother replied.

"I'm with someone, Mom, he's a white-haired guy, don't you see? I was with him on the swing," I pointed to the swing below. My mother followed my finger, of course there was no one.

"What do you mean? You dreamed of a boy? Is the man handsome?" My mother laughed at my words.

"Hurry, it's getting late" my mother pulled my hand to quickly get down from the tree house.

I was silent, still confused about what happened. I looked once again around me, there was no one, only trees around me.

"You know Nesa, after the rain there was a rainbow in the sky, I forgot to tell you, I'm sorry. Even though you really want to see a rainbow after the rain," Mom looked at me guiltily. I was just silent, I followed in my mother's footsteps. I looked back once more, looked at the small hill behind my house, there was no one.

"Maybe I'm dreaming, like my mom said," I mumbled a little.

"Of course, how can there be a human who can rain down and make rainbows. Yeah, it was just a dream," I reassured myself.

"Ahh but I forgot to ask her name, even if it was just a dream, at least I know who I'm talking to," I muttered.

---

"What are you doing Rex? Are you visiting Earth again?" asked the red-haired man.

"No Cloe, I only see the human world from here," replied the man, Rex.

"Never mind, hurry back. You could get angry at the higher-ups," said Cloe.

Rex nodded. They quickly flew into the sky, towards another dimension.

"Hopefully we will meet again, Nesa. That's my request,"
