Invisible Chains (Magi x Reader)

She couldn't say what she wanted. Not just because of the physical chains at her feet, but she didn't even know the answer to that question. Because he was that good. A girl who has absolutely nothing, and no longer knows how she feels. A boy who can't help but fall for her, despite knowing he has no right to. A master with a wicked obsession and a nasty agenda. My King ~ Solomon x Reader (Part 2)

It's been almost a week since the wedding, and I've gotten back on my feet. Putting my emotions aside, I'm working on moving on and well.. I guess living more for myself.

I finally managed to get out of my house, taking in the sunlight and fresh air. I'm starting to feel a little more free, but a familiar head of blue catches my attention. It's Solomon and, of course, Sheba is right beside him. It would have been irritating enough to pass by just some random couple, but them of all people? Watching was painful.

I try to slip away and turn back the direction I came when Sheba calls out to me. I carefully and slowly turn around. They look so happy together, but there's an odd air since my presence had been noticed. His expression seems irritated, or had it been like that since before my arrival? As I step closer to them I can't help but feel like I'm intruding. "Why weren't you at the wedding? Did you not see the invitation?" She asks worryingly.

"Oh.. I was sick.." I lie, scratching the back of my neck. It feels awkward to talk to them, it has been so long.

"Oh, that's too bad," she frowns, "I didn't see Ugo either. Last I heard he was going to see you."

"Yeah, he ended up helping me around the house until I could.. recover." Now that bit was true, I needed some serious emotional recovery. "I could barely function, it was awful." At this point I just want to escape. Seeing them had finally reached my thoughts, and I could feel my words stuttering and the tears coming.

"You should have told us, we could've helped you too! We're friends after all." I know she's just trying to be encouraging, but it isn't working.

"I'm fine. Just.. I gotta go," I turn rushing off.

"Wait," his voice commands, finally speaking up as he swiftly grasps my wrist. "Why are you acting so distant lately? Did I do something that offended you?" Solomon raises his brow. It had been a while since I'd seen him so serious.

"No, you could never do anything that would offend me. I'm just.. busy." I avoid his eyes, knowing how observant he was. Remembering how he could almost read me like a book. Key word: almost.

"You're always hanging around Ugo or suddenly just disappearing off when around the rest of us. What's up with you?" He argues. Sheba hugs onto his arm, pleading with him to let it go.

"Calm down, love. (y/n)'s probably tired from being sick. There's no need to get worked up." I send her a thankful glance as he lets go of me.

"Just forget about it," he sighs, but his blue orbs never leave mine, "You're so oblivious."

I turn to go, neither of them stopping me, 'What was that even supposed to mean?'

Next part will have a fair time skip, and it will include a lemon. Thoughts? Requests?
