Invisible Chains (Magi x Reader)

She couldn't say what she wanted. Not just because of the physical chains at her feet, but she didn't even know the answer to that question. Because he was that good. A girl who has absolutely nothing, and no longer knows how she feels. A boy who can't help but fall for her, despite knowing he has no right to. A master with a wicked obsession and a nasty agenda. And two boys who change it all.

Chapter 27

"I can't believe it.." I mutter. 'I lost.'

The boy holds his knife out at me, stepping closer so that it's pressed up against my chin. The blade starts to stick under the skin, bringing a slight burning sensation which only increases as I struggle. I'm forced to look up at him. "Be still."

"Morgin!!" I scream in desperation. I turn my gaze towards (y/n). "(y/n)! Do something! Restrain him or anything, just get this filthy commoner back!"

She gets a hold of him, but he manages to grab her wrists. "Stop. Do you really want to save this man?" What's that supposed to mean? Of course she did! I've been taking care of her well like all my belongings! "Don't worry, I won't kill him. I just want my friend's flute back."

"Help me, Morgin!" I cry, screaming my lungs out.

The commoner points his knife back at me, "I told you to shut up!" Behind him I see Morgin running in this direction. A smile appears on my face. He's here, such a good boy.

The fanaris male jumps, sending a swift thud to the top of the boy's head. He stumbles and finds himself on the ground. You can see the confusion on his face. Morgin had been meters away only seconds ago. Now he stands above the boy, gloom on his face in a deadly glare. I slowly help myself up, letting a laugh escape my lips. "What's the matter?" I ask the boy as (y/n) helps support me on my feet.

He too gets up, mirroring my smirk. 'What? What's that smile for? I've won. I know I have. So why?' "I think it's time you learned your place, Jamil." He steps forward, making his way back to us confidently. He sticks his hand out, "Morgin, come with us! Think about it. Why waste this chance?! We're in a dungeon. This guy isn't scary here!" He pokes at my chest in a taunting manner. "He's nothing! If you run from him, no one will blame you. You'll be free!" I let out a chuckle, 'This fool. He's wasting his breath. There's no way Morgin would disobey his master.'

Morgin takes a few steps forward, his chains clinking. He doesn't even look back as he approaches the boy. I see his smirk grow as Morgin goes to grab his hand. For a moment I'm worried, glancing down at (y/n) who seems just as confused as me. Grabbing the boy's hand, Morgin pulls it roughly and slams the pest's body into a pillar. "What-!" The commoner gasps, clutching his chest from the pain. He let out a long set of coughs, "Why.. would you..?" Of course, he doesn't understand. He doesn't know what I've put them through.

My grin is glued to my face as I walk up to the pair, dragging (y/n) behind me. I'm excited. This is it. This is the end. I ruffle my hand through the slave's red locks, "Ha ha! Good boy, Morgin! I never doubted you!" Him and (y/n) follow me up to the boy. I send several kicks to his face. "Commoner! Trash! Filth! Commoner!" Blood dribbles from his nose and pours down his face. "Why are you giving my slave orders, huh?!" I get on one knee, yanking him by his golden locks so I can look him in the eyes. "'Why?' you ask? You wouldn't understand. Now then, let me show you how to use slaves. You'll get to see it first hand, quite a special experience for trash like you."

"(y/n)!" I call, turning to my right. I hand her my sword, noticing the curiosity in her eyes as she takes it. I smile at her as she carefully gazes over the blade. "Kill him."
