" What's the point of this, Cecil? I told you I already have a decent training program. This machine is still light."

Mark told Cecil as he lifted the giant press Machine Cecil had built for him.

" The point is kid; you need to be stronger than them before they get here. Not galivanting with, Eve."

Cecil explained to the boy.

" I told you I'm taking care of that already."

Mark told the man.

" Yeah? How's that?"

cecil asked.

" None, of your business. Just trust me, I'm taking care of it."

Mark told the man

" Okay, where exactly is the exit in this place? I can't seem to find-- Oh, hey invincible. What's up man?"

Rex asked drawing Mark and Cecil's attention.

" Yo Rex! Not much man. I didn't know you were here."

Mark said to the man.

" Yeah-- some last minute adjustments to mu ne hand nothing major."

Rex explained.

" Wait, new hand? What happened?"

Mark asked the man.

' Oh, dude. When you were away aliens invaded and I blew up my hand to kill the lead bastard."

Rex explained to Mark.

" Damn, man. Sorry about that."

Mark said to the man.

" Oh, don't worry about it man. It's not all bad. I can control the distance a little better now. It's pretty cool actually."

Rex said to the man.

" So, what's been up with you man? You haven't been in the field for a while."

Rex asked.

" Well, I've been busy training with my little brother and going out with eve. Besides nothing big has happened where you guys haven't been able to handle things. And new heroes are popping up everyday. I mean did you see that kid that can change his body around? I think his name was generator rex or something like that. And over on the west coast there's that Firebreather kid. You guys are good. I need to focus on training."

Mark explained to Rex as he went over two of the newest heroes to surface as of late.

" Yeah, I guess. But still man."

Rex argued.

" Oh, don't worry about it, Rex. I'll still pull your ass out of the fire if you need it."

Mark joked.

" Oh, you're very funny."

Rex replied.

" I hate to break up whatever this is. But there's a situation that could use your attention invincible."

Cecil said to the man.

" Alright, wanna come along Rex?"

Mark asked the man.

" Sure, why not. I need to test run this thing anyway. Let's go."

Rex replied.

Mark walked up to Rex and grabbed him under his armpits and flew them both out of the GDA's headquarters.

" You do realize the arm-pitting is uncomfortable right?"

Rex asked the man.

" Is it really? I wouldn't know. I'd never let another man carry me like this."

Mark joked as he continued flying.

" Whatever, man. Where are we going anyway?"

Rex asked.

" The Smithsonian. Hold on tight Rex. I'm hitting the jets."

Mark said to Rex.

Rex nodded and closed his eyes as Mark took off as fast as he could, without damaging the earth, towards the museum.

After a few seconds, Mark and Rex both arrived above the museum to see it being robbed by two men robbing the Smithsonian.

" Are these guys serious? Rex, you take the purple one and I'll take the other."

Mark explained to Rex.

" You got it. Drop me."

Rex replied.

Mark nodded and dropped Rex right down on top of his target.

" Oh, great. Drop kick, hurry and deal with your foe. I'll handle the big guy."

Fightmaster said to his partner as he prepared to fight, mark.

" I see. A time sled. You're from the future right? Well, let me give you a little spoiler warning. Those items aren't going to help you."

Mark explained to the man.

Fightmaster's eyes widened in surprise.

" How could you possibly know that?"

Fightmaster asked in utter disbelief.

" I might remember just a smidge of the future. Not much anymore. But I do remember this."

Mark explained to the man.

' Killing the Immortal, was one of my favorite moments.'

Mark thought to himself with a smile on his face.

' And if I remember correctly...'

Mark thought to himself. He looked over his shoulder and smiled at the approaching brother of dupli-kate, Multi-paul, heading right towards rex.

" Excuse me one second, I'll be right back."

Mark said to fightmaster.

He then flew past Rex and slammed into the machine paul was using to fly and grabbed the man.

" Hey, Paul right? Look dude you're sister's not dead. So, do me a favor and just go to sleep."

Mark said to the man before slamming his head into his clones head and knocking him out cold.

" Dude! Invincible who's that?"

Rex asked as he knocked drop kick out..

" Multi-Paul. Kate's brother. He was just getting ready to attack you man. You gotta keep your head on a swivel."

Mark joked as he landed in front of Rex.

" Whoa, thanks I guess."

Rex said to the man.

" Hey, Rex you might wanna turn around body."

Mark pointed to the two escaping thieves.

Rex turned around and tried attacking the men only for his explosions to miss as they suddenly disappeared within the time stream.

" Ahhhh, man!"

Rex yelled

Mark looked at the man and laughed at his failure, knowing full well that they were escaping ahead of time.

" What the hell is going on?"

Kate asked as she and the immortal arrived on the scene.

" Oh, hey Kate. Do me a favor and take your brother for me. I don't really care what you do with him. I was only here today to really mitigate the damages. You can decide what to do with him. I'm sure you guys could use this time to catch up. And who knows maybe you guys can reconnect again."

Mark explained to the girl lazily. He threw the man's body towards the immortal and then flew off from the scene without saying another word.

' God, I hate filler. But it was fun just kicking it with Rex for a bit. And who knows, maybe with this chance Multi-paul will be different.'

Mark thought to himself as he flew over the city.
