Alice really did order two cups of coffee.
One was a New York-style mocha, and the other a classic latte.
When the coffee arrived, Alice handed the mocha to William first. "Master, try this—it's a New York specialty." Knowing that William wasn't a fan of cold drinks, she had made sure to order both coffees hot.
William took a sip and praised it, "This is really good."
Alice then offered the other cup. "And this one?"
After another careful taste, William commented, "This one's good too, a bit bitter, but the flavor is richer."
Curious, Alice asked, "Which one would you prefer then?"
Looking at the latte in his hand, William replied, "I'll go with this one."
Alice nodded slightly, picked up the mocha, and sat across from him. She took a gentle sip and murmured, "I really like this mocha too—it tastes like New York."
William couldn't take his eyes off Alice.
